  1. MAC went to the Clinic Bowl in his second year and if I am not mistaken and 1A now is a MUCH WEAKER division now!
  2. I agree 100%, fundamentals, conditioning, and motivation is what Mac's team had when he was there. His players always came on the field with a swagger and they could back it up with their playing abilities. The Moore County teams since may have had one or two of the three but not all three. 7' post='2699925'] 1A football is iron man football. I don't remember many M.C.teams that had a deep depth chart.Mac did good to have 30 out most years. M.C.'s winning reputation was built on strong aggresive teams that were well coached, not schematic teams. The key to having winning progams is quality coaching(especially in 1A ball)and a good mixture of jimmy&joes. #11 is as goods as you can ask for in 1A I think. I saw about 10 mintues of a practice and the Warren Co. game. There wasn't alot of "hustle" in practice but there was alot of helmet dragging and walking around.During the game I observed lots of cheerleading by team after several basic plays and some "talking".That's not how Moore Co. ball used to be played. Both are reflections of the head coach be right or wrong. Just my opinions.
  3. My name is not Womack. I have been a head coach in Arkansas and East Tennessee as well as working 10 years witrh Mac at Moore County.
  4. Okay, you want to know what what great coaching legends feel makes winners. Well here it is. Any good coach will tell you that they would rather have eleven average players that will buy into the system and that are willing to learn. Just because a player was born with great athletic ability does do not make him or her GREAT. you have to have a player that willing yo learn, play as a team member and not as one. You can take average players with heart and motivate them to play above their beyond their abilty. How do I know this, I spent ten years at Moore County with Mac. We took a team that did not have alot of talant in 1989 and advanced all the way to the semi-finals, 12 and 2 not bad for a team with no great athletes on it. Instead there where 24 players that believed themselves and in what there coaching staff was doing, they also put team ahead of everything else This team also had a lot of pride in their community. The 1988 team had one great player and many average players but advanced all the way to the Clinic Bowl in Nashville. 14 and 1 not bad for a buch of avergare players.
  5. bb4evr, you are so full of bull, Mac is what build Moore County up. A good coach makes great players, great players do not make great coaches. That should be very clear since 1999 at Moore County. I guess you think The Bear did not make Alabama what it is, Vince Lombardi did not make Green Bay.
  6. I hope for Moore County's sake they do not hire Campbell. He is not a very good coach. Plus he has problems with letting people control him and that will not work in Moore County. If he is hired it will be a big mistake.
  7. You can believe what you want the job has been offered to Mac and there is a good chance he is going to accept after his season is over. I know there is some people in Moore County that don't want this to happen and the only reason is they will not be able to run the progarm.
  8. Several Reason Why Mac Is Coming Back: 1. Daughters in this area 2. Mother in this area 3. Lot's friends in this area 4. Mac likes this area 5. Jack daniel support- when Mac was here there was always newspapers and tv crews in town. That is free advertisement that Jack Daniel 's has not been receiving with the current football program. 6. Mac wants to come back more than any other reason 7. He would have never left had it not been for the large amount of cash that he was given to leave Moore County the first time
  9. The higher ups are the ones that are going put out the money needed to get Mac back
  10. Them along with some high ups at Jack daniels
  11. It looks we are finally going to get a new coach!!!!!
  12. This is a message board for information If you don't like the fact that this is another MC message why are you looking at it in the first place.
