ND played East Ridge for years in soccer. A majority of the time 2 games a season. Most of the games were very lopsided, but the ER team always showed up to play. I don't remember them ever forfeiting a game. Those girls knew when they took the field what the outcome of the game would most likely be. Those girls never complained, they just played their hearts out. I always thought they were such a classy group of girls. They would show up, play hard and hold there heads up high after every loss. Sequatchie Co. needs to learn to do the same.
  2. Finally, someone else understands the disadvantage that ND encounters every year with the girls soccer tournament being held in Chattanooga. The ND girls attending school all day and then playing against a well rested opponent. The admistration at the school needs to treat this like they girls were playing out of town and give them the time off.
  3. Posters - Use the Scoreboard and Schedule Section for team schedules and games results. It's so much easier to check there, then searching through pages and pages and pages for a game final. Let's use the Message Board for more detailed information, questions, venting, etc.
  4. Nice to meet other Delawareans on CoachT. Myself, I'm a William Penn Colonial. Not to tell my age, but I graduated long before soccer became a school sport. Ended up at William Penn when the state consoldiated the Gunning Bedford and William Penn districts. I'm older and wiser now, realize it would have been more beneficial to have consolidated with Middletown.
  5. Your both wrong! According to the CoachT's schedule section, the game is tomorrow, Wednesday, Aug. 27th at Bearden. Not taking anything away from CAK, I don't think they stand a chance against Bearden. If Coach Turner finds the smallest weakness with CAK he will pounce on it. He will make the necessary adjustments to get the win! Bearden 4 - CAK 1

  7. Recently, I downloaded the new TSSA Physical form. At first I was overwhelmed with the fact of it being 4 pages. I sat down and started looking at the forms. The History Form needs to fill out by the parent and student. The Physical Evaluation Form is for the physcian. The Clearance Form needs two boxes checked and the physcians signature. This needs to be done twice on this form. The Emergency Treatment form is for the parents signature. Really it's more time consuming for the parent than the physcian. When your child has their sports physical, you need to only take the Physical Evaluation Form and Clearance Form. The new form is not as bad as it first appears. A trip to the doctors office is not necessary if your school provides a sports physical at the school by a MD. /flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":flower:" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />
  8. So far the only school in District 6 that has scheduled a game with Sequatchie Co. is Hixson High. Hixson does not have a JV team, so this would lead me to believe that Sequatchie will be fielding a varsity squad.
  9. I understand that District 6, (which consist of CCS, East Ridge, Hixson and Notre Dame) is adding 2 new girls soccer teams. The new Signal Mtn. High School will start a team this season will be young since the high school this year won't be having a senior class. Also, Sequatchie Co. will field a girls soccer team. I see that Hixson High has already scheduled a game with Sequatchie Co. and Signal Mtn. Notre Dame has scheduled Signal Mtn. but I don't see anything schedule with Sequatchie Co. The other schools in the district haven't released their schedules yet. Does anyone else know about this change? /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

    Red Cards

I have a question. How is the two games determined - Say a player is red carded the first five minutes of a game; Is the current game and the next game the team plays considered the two suspended games? The player has been ejected out of the game beening played - right? What if a player is suspended the last two minutes of a game - Does the game he is playing in at the present time the one of the ones of the two game suspension? In other words is the suspension for two full games or one full game and the remainder of the game being played? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  11. I thought the A/AA didn't get the same breakdown as the others, which made it confusing. I took it upon myself to retype the names with the appropriate position played: Forwards Brittany Hoffman - CAK - 10 Gretchen Sutch - Knoxville Catholic - 12 Leslie Wilson - Anderson County - 12 Kris Cambron Notre Dame - 11 Rebecca Kent - Hixson - 11 Logan Mays ??“ CCS - 11 Morgan Crofford ??“ FRA - 10 Tory Pitts ??“FRA - 11 Rita Spellings ??“ CPA - 12 Jamie Loftis ??“ DCA -12 Laura Lamberth ??“ Goodpasture - 12 Maryann Fenner ??“ Harpeth - 10 Heather Hostead - Spring Hill - 12 Katie Hayes - USJ - 12 Alyse Flack - Madison Academic -12 Shelley Carter ??“ JCS - 11 Midfielders Julie Thompson ??“ CAK ??“ 11 Danielle Ciabattone ??“ Notre Dame ??“ 10 Dana Streufert ??“ CCS ??“ 12 Katherine Nigro ??“ Livingston Academy ??“ 9 Mackenzie Keele ??“ Station Camp - 9 Alyssa Curtis ??“ CPA ??“ 9 Savannah Moore ??“ CPA ??“ 10 Hope Profitt ??“ David Lipscomb ??“ 11 Courtney Perry ??“ Sycamore ??“ 12 Defenders Rachel Bonfini ??“ Knox Catholic ??“ 12 Shannon Kelly ??“ Notre Dame - 11 Callie Jernigan ??“ CAK ??“ 11 Katie McDonald ??“ FRA ??“ 12 Logann Rogers ??“ FRA ??“ 12 Kaitlyn Smith ??“ FRA ??“ 11 Amy Maksimowics ??“ CPA -9 Shelby Pigue ??“ DCA ??“ 12 Ryan McAlister ??“ Ezell Harding ??“ 12 Andi Thorton ??“ David Lipscomb ??“ 11 Katie Hamilton ??“ USJ ??“ 12 Brittany Johnson ??“ JCS ??“ 10 Rachel Weaver ??“ JCS - 11 Goalkeeper Leah Wilson ??“ CCS ??“ 11 Emily Canady ??“ FRA ??“ 12 Brittany Fane ??“ Columbia Academy - 11 Elizabeth Crowder ??“ USJ - 12 Hope that this makes it much easier to understand. Also, the A/AA didn't have a Coach of the Year listed.
  12. AA/A GK Leah Wilson CCS 11 D Shannon Kelly Notre Dame 11, Logann Rogers FRA 12, Dorothy Harvey JCS and Heather Lee CCS 12 MF Laura Lamberth Goodpasture 12, Carey Lieper Notre Dame 10, Katherine Nigro Livington 9 and Katie Hamilton USJ 12 F Rita Spellings CPA 12 and Tory Pitts FRA 11 Regional MVP'S East Carey Lieper Notre Dame Middle Logan Rogers FRA West Katie Hayes USJ AA/A MVP Logan Rogers FRA Carey Leiper is not a MF for Notre Dame. She is and has always been a forward. MF's for Notre Dame are Megan Dorris, Darcy Brennan, Danielle Ciabattone and Kate Caramante. I want to add that they all did a superb job.
  13. In 2006, when Notre Dame played FRA in the quarter final, the principal of NDHS let a student attend if they had parent's permission and a ride to the event (across town). The entire school showed up also. It wouldn't matter what particular town the event is played or on what field, someone would have a home town advantage. The down side to hosting an event is that the home town players attend school during the day. The traveling teams get the luxury of sleeping in, resting and a break from the pressures of attending class. I'll take that advantage any day. /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />
  14. Over the weekend I was asked if after paying admission at one of the TSSAA Soccer sites would you have to pay to enter another. Such as you attend the 11:30 a.m. game at CCS and then want to attend 2:30 game at GPS, does your first admission get you into both sites or must you pay again.
