  1. Gotta win out? Sounds difficult, but that's what great stories are made of... Memphis is going pretty good. the football down here could use some work, but other than that, it's going good.
  2. How are things shaping up for the Rebels in the playoff picture?
  3. Backinthaoc is probably the best at making his point, which is a very big part of "bringing the smack". He knows what he's talking about. I don't know any of the other guys. My apoligies.
  4. Tackle, thanks for your encouragement and advice. I believe that I have decided 100% that I'm going to be a coach. I know the field is tough and there are many insecurties, but I'm positive that it will be worth it. A coach of mine my senior year by the name of John Smith (I'm not making up a generic name. That was really his name) sat me down and said that after watching me in practice and with our football program, that I really had a knack for coaching and leading and that he would help me in any way that he could. If not for his support and encouragement, I probably would have never considered it like I did. That just goes to show that you never know how much one conversation can change a teenager's life. Really think about how much you influence people.
  5. I'm going to memphis, and from the looks of it, they could really use me right about now... good luck with MTSU
  6. I appreciate it. I'm slightly OCD when it comes to grammar. I didn't mean to sound like an a hole.
  7. Please use complete sentences. I don't see how a team can "score maybe a close game". I'm so confused.
  8. Shut up juice on the rocks... great stuff... I've got a question before I make my predictions... is Flowers hurt for Dyer Co.?
  9. I appreciate the concern, but I've already weighed the goods and the bads. The good greatly outweighs the bad. As far as you Lard Bowl, that is a great idea. I would personally love to dress out and go toe to toe with all of the alumni. Another funny thing is that I am planning on trying out at every walk on even if they tell me to stop coming. I just want the chance to dress out and play some football.
  10. Well, I was planning on being a lawyer. My major was political science, but football season came around....My new major is education. Gonna be a coach. woo!!!! Friday nights are gonna be a little different, but they're still Friday nights.
  11. This is my first year out of high school, and I often find myself repeatedly talking about past game experiences, and I would like all of the former players to let me know if this ever goes away or not. What do I have to look forward to in the future? Feel free to share stories of your glory days, too. Just have fun with this topic. Go Crazy.
  12. Haywood is one thing. Athletic. They play sloppy and depend on their pure athleticism to win games. In any other division, this would be plenty, but with the coaching, the athleticism of every other team in the region, and the discipline of all the teams in Region 7, it's just not enough. I don't think that the Rebs have forgotten last season at all. Haywood was probably the most disrespectful team that we encountered last year. Trash talking and cheap shots were aplenty. There's another added incentive to win. It's no secret that Dishon Robinson took control of last year's game. The offense should have it a little bit easier this year now that he's gone. It should be a good game with the playoff picture hanging above it. Good luck to the rebels. I have absolutely no respect for Haywood, so for them, I wish nothing.
