  1. If that’s the case they might put 50 on the board
  2. They would get swept, but all 4 teams would still get a quarter of the 1st round gate; and that’s what they’re really interested in
  3. Everyone is missing the point when it comes to all of the Clarksville teams playing up to 6A… it’s not about competing, it’s about drastically reducing your travel, thus saving the school district a ton of money (which is really all they care about anyways) and it guarantees 4 Clarksville teams will always make the playoffs (which has never happened?)
  4. Completely baffling this coaching staff still can’t get the ball to #7
  5. We've got smallish receivers, no screens? We use to run a ton of playaction; don't see that much anymore. RPO's maybe? Brentwood tore Henry County up with those the past 2 years. Morgan Barrick plays pretty well against South Gibson, gets what 15 carries or so? 1 carry against Springfield, played more snaps on defense. Last year our tight ends were a huge key, especially off of play action. This year, I think their only catch of the season was the throwback screen against Springfield. They've had #4 on varsity for 1 1/2 years, and they still have no idea what to do with him. We have a quarterback that has power 5 offers, yet we've played 3 different qb's throughout the season. Just baffling.
  6. Been working all weekend so I haven't had time to respond. The offense is pathetic. Not trash talking kids at all, didn't mention one name. The offense is more than just the players. It's the formations, substitutions, play calling. Putting kids in positions to be successful. It's been mentioned before, but the offense has scored 1 touchdown in the last 10 quarters (Northwest doesn't count, they're essentially a middle school team at this point). That's pathetic, regardless of competition.
  7. This Henry county offense is pathetic. Has been all season.
  8. I was also told that the end zone stands and band were moved because of the sinkhole.
  9. I heard two things in regard to this; the truth is probably a combination of things. 1) apparently there was/is a rather large sinkhole on the northern side of the field and there might have been some hesitation to place a rather heavy and expensive scoreboard in unsettled soil. 2) it was much easier to wire in the south end zone since it’s already adjacent to the concessions and various electric transformers.
  10. yes, it'll be awesome when it's completed in time for the 2023 season
  11. I'd be shocked if they held Summit to 17 points; I'm not sure they can hold them to 34.
  12. It was, but it made for an unbelievable atmosphere. Henry County probably had a couple hundred fans waiting in the parking lot by 3 o'clock that afternoon. It seems they finally relented and opened up the gates around 4 or 4:30. By 5:30 the entire visitor section was filled with Henry County fans. Northeast had Clarksville police lined up on the home sidelines, blocking Henry County fans from sitting in the stands on the home sideline, despite the fact that there was plenty of room. Because of this, many Henry County fans were forced to stand around the fence circling the field in order to watch the game. By halftime, fans were probably 3 deep, circling the entire perimeter of the field, much like two teams facing off in the prison yard.
  13. and strangely enough, the only playoff game that Clarksville Northeast hosted in 2013 was that semifinal game against Henry County. They were on the road for the first, second, and third rounds; pulling the upsets off against Lincoln County, Hillsboro, and Gallatin along the way
  14. Bingo! Henry County went undefeated during the regular season, winning the region and thereafter quad 4, but had to travel to Clarksville Northeast who pulled off a couple of upsets winning quad 3. Due to the Maryville Rule, Northeast hosted; but everyone realized how stupid it was to have an undefeated regional champ have to travel to play a team they had already defeated in the regular season. Thus the Henry County Rule was introduced the next year I believe.
  15. Yeah, of course Henry County would host. Do we not remember 2013? It's the Henry County Rule for crying out loud.
