  3. 1. Chattanooga Christian hosted a middle school individual tournament this past weekend. We would like to expand next year. We are seeking middle schools that are traditionally smaller in size and thereby might not other wise go to, or get invited to, a tournament. 2. Along the same lines, we are exploring the possabilty of hosting a duals tournament for these same size schools, and to modify weight classes similarly to what the TSSAA has offered high schools this year. (MS and or HS) 3. During the month of June, the TSSAA allows live wrestling on campus. CCS, along with Central, will host nights in which we have live wrestling. This will be an individual thing. Coaches do not have to organize their team. This will be HS only. 4. Last, CCS is also exploring the idea of having a "Take Down" tournament (HS) some time in 2009-2010. If you are interested in any of these options, please email contact info to... khoward@ccsk12.com
  4. It should be pointed out that any female who has competed against males during the 2088-09 season is not eligible for the womens state tourney. In addition there will not a a qualifying tournament prior to womens state.
  5. What are the GA Middle School weight classes?
  6. Yes indeed CCS won. 1-0. Way to go Chargers!
  7. CCS wins the district title and will host the first round of regions!
  8. Carlton Flatt signs on with a public school! Read today's Chattanooga Freepress. Coach Flatt has signed a contract to teach in a public school beginning this fall. He has been asked to be an assistant for the football program. If he sends out a letter to an 8th grader telling them when practices starts...
  9. Here's a thought... In the NCAA, the teams that get all the prime tv coverage, print media coverage and all the big $$ that go with NCAA championships are called Division I. Those schols that can't compete at the same level are Division II and III. If, and I say IF, the DI and DII split was made because, as the rumor goes, too many private schools were winning all the championships, then we should call the scholarship division schools Division I and all the public schools Division II.
  10. Coach Dinger (baseball) and Coach Ward (wrestling) apparently aren't among those. They regularly schedule games/matches against private schools not in their region or district.
  11. Now that's what I like to see, kids feeling good about themselves. Class A, 8 wrestlers-6 place finishers.

  13. Red Bank dropped a team earlier this year in favor of another. I know this because I am responsible for the dropped teams schedule. In fact, Red Bank was supposed to come to our gym.
