  1. Congrats to CSAS on Championship. SP deserves a lot of credit for making it a good game. Guys now lets go get some upsets in the region. Bring it home for 6-A.
  2. RH was not weak they just wasn't deep enough. I know they lost both to CSAS and 2 to SP but in all the games it was close at the half. SP game 1 they were up four, game 2 we were up by eight or more i cant remember. game 3 down 4 and CSAS game 1 up 2 at half and game 2 down only 4. But that was due to playing their starters the whole time. By the third they were dragging and they just didn't have enough off the bench to keep them in it. If they would have played a tougher schedule it really wouldn't have helped them I don't think. But they had a good year anyway. CSAS was still the best team, but give SP credit for almost upsetting them for the title. I was hoping SP would knock them off. You guys will probably be the only team to have a chance again next year. It's going to be a long season for the Hawks it will be hard for them to even win any district games. But you never know thats why they play the game. Congrats to CSAS,SP,LOV,RH for this season. Good luck in the region. Someone needs an upset for our District!
  3. Outburst before you start talking make sure you know what you are talking about. RH played PRV 2 times in reg season and 1 time in a Christmas tourney. Also just because you don't know them doesn't mean they are not good. PRV beat us an Silverdale this season. " Silverdale didn't have the best year but still they play Grace, Temple, Hixson as well. Woodville won the RH Christmas tourney last year which beat Silverdale in that. That was Silverdales best team last year. You can say what you want when you have three players that avg in double digits in scoring 25 rebounds 3 steals and 8 assists per game between them there doing pretty good. By the way that was their avg against SP,CSAS,LOV,North Jackson,Whitwell Sale Creek and Silverdale. The Berean game you refer to. The starters played about 8 minutes of the game and scored about 6 points. Wow they really padded there stats for that one! The only reason RH didn't win more big game is their bench. They have gotten better but they don't have the skills or quickness to hang with CSAS, SP and such. But I would still put RH starting five up against anyone in this district and they can hang with any of them.
  4. Yep, it may be a long season for the Hawks next year.
  5. I'm a little tired of CSAS but thats they way it is when your as good as they are. I would like to see SP upset them just to make it a little interesting, but it's not going to happen. CSAS by 30!
  6. What do you then consider a good player? This kid AVG scoring in double figures. Is 1 or 2 in assist on his team. 1 or 2 in steals on his team. I think he is a good player. A Great player or star no not now. But he is a good player. He is only a streaky shooter because he is a team player. He only takes open shots and looks to get the ball into their big men for easier shots. He only takes and avg of 7 shots a game. Most stars on a team take an avg 15 or more to get their points. If this kid was shotting 15 times or more per game he would average 20 points or more. But will get to see next year because he will be about all they have left. Their whole team is seniors , so we will see what he really has. I know as a Freshman and shopmore on JV he avg 20 points agame only playing 2 quarters, because they didn't have any scorers. Will he be a star player that is still up for debate. But I still consider him a good player and a great team player.
  7. Whitwell came ready to play last night. They played a good game all the way to the end. Rh hit some big shots at the end of the game to win. Conratulations to RH. But this was the best game I have seen Whitwell play this season. Good Job Tigers!
  8. Rh will have play better than they did against Whitwell if they want to win this one. I think they have the talent to win it, but do they have the heart? they were tested against Whitwell and showed they can win a close one so will have to see. But a rested Sp team will be tough to be.
  9. Why does everyone on here think they have to dog out RH.Does that mke you sleep better at night? These are kids that busted there butts to crawl out of the bottom of a district. It's not there fault that some of the other teams in their district are down this a year. They are just working hard to improve their game! I have only seen 4 Rh game in my life but 2 were two years ago and 2 this year and it's night and day. They have improved more than any team in this district. Yes they still don't have the talent as these other teams but as far as improvement, hands down.Like someone else said they have about 50 boys to choose from when making a team. So say what you want these boys deserve credit for what they have accomplished. They know that this is there best chance to win this year and they are trying go as far as they can. After this season they will be losing almost all their team from what I understand and will probably struggle again. Why don't you just give them credit for what these boys not "RH or the coach" has accomplished. To me that would be the most sportsman thing to do. They know they are no Howard, CSAS or anyone like that but they are accomplishing more they were supposed to. I hope they go on a win the whole thing myself. For all the stuff they have to listen no one deserves it more.
  10. I agree, they look pretty good this year.
  11. That is impressive. I guess will have to see what happens. It could go either way and whom ever they chose would deserve it.
  12. Coach of the year is not about wins and losses. It's whos coach got the most out of the talent they have. So did CSAS do more with the talent they have or RH with the talent they had? That is the question. CSAS was to finsh first and they did. RH was thought to finsh last or next to last, but they finshed 3rd. It's all in the way you look at it. I still say my Pathers are better but you still need to give them credit.
  13. What games have you won? You have played good teams outside the district and lost. You've lost to Lookout Valley and South Pittsburg which RH beat. Oh yes and you lost to RH not once but twice. There is no dought that Rh could have played a tougher schedule but that wouldn't have made much diffrence in the District except to make them better. It's not always the team with the best record that should get coach or team of the year. It should be what the team used to be in the past and how much they have improved. CSAS has always been good and have better players then other teams in the district ,but what have they really done? If the District is so bad and they went undefeated what does that say? "Nothing" They have played some good teams outside district how many have they won? "none" If they would have beaten a Grace or East Ridge or Temple or Howard then maybe. But at this point they are the best team in a bad district. It's not RH fault that LOV and Whitwell are down this year. In the Past it wasn't that those teams were that great anyway. It was that RH was that bad. But not this year and thats why I think RH coach should get it. You can agree or disagree but it's time someone gives them a little credit. Everyone knows how they used to be. Now how many teams from the district pencil them in as a win on their schedule now, maybe one. South Pittsburg had a rough year due to not having a gym. That would be hard to handle. But we must remember that Rh played in box gym forever and no one made excuses for them then. LOV and Whitwell both are just one player away from being right where they were before. So even though they had a bad year there not that bad of a team. Bottom line if Rh goes into the district tourney and doesn't win a game they shouldn't get coach of the year. But if they do and maybe get to the Championship game will that give them any credibility? We all know CSAS is the best team. We all know that they have a better coach. We all know that they have the only chance to do anything in the region tournament. But this is about coach of the year not wins and losses. It's whos coach got the most out of the talent they have. So did CSAS do more with the talent they have or RH with the talent they had? That is the question. I still say RH because they still have the least talented team and has accomplished more.
  14. I would have to agree with RH coach being coach of the year. CSAS was suposed to be right where they are at the top. But RH was to have been at the bottom. CSAS is still the better team by far but coach of the year should be RH coach.
  15. Quick being a Little punk! If you don't have anything intelligent to say. I think the Joe thing is played out.
