  1. Gopackers is right! Someone posted earlier that Melrose was a real team. Really? I had a hard time finding the D1 prospects for Melrose. The only one saw was No. 3(a one man team) and he scored half the points. As for the complaints of too many ticky tacky fouls on your Melrose boys, WRONG! Those fouls went both ways the whole game. If Siegel would have showed up the first quarter, who knows what would have happened. Melrose will have no problem with Bearden. Saw them play earlier, not impressed. Too bad Siegel didn't draw Bearden or Beech. I guess thats how the ball bounces! Good Luck to the teams left!
  2. This is what I remember: Siegel - Gooch, Hammonds, Hurt Oakland - Hughes, Brown (I think that was his last name) Please add to this list. Getting too old to remember!
  3. No not a student, but I have put two through Siegel and got two more to go. And yes it does bother me when they say my kids are rich snobby brats. We live paycheck to paycheck and drive car dated in the 90's. I have to bite my tongue all the time not to say what I would really like to say and maybe one day I will. People are always going to bash someone that has something they don't. Some people are just jealous. I don't want to be like that. I hope this flu bug stays away from the rest of the Stars. Hammonds is still sick. Good luck stars and any other team who may be facing the flu bug right before districts. Could get tough!
  4. Sorry, I'm not like siegelgrad! Thank God!
  5. Excuse me for tagging on the wrong post! You have so many negative posts I didn't know which one to choose. And sorry for not sitting on Coacht all day waiting to rip someone like you do! You can stand up for your team without tearing down another team. You shouldn't lower yourself to the haters on here. Don't you see, your being just like them. And yes I do know alot of Siegel posters on here. Just cause I don't post all the time doesn't mean I don't read Coacht all the time. I have supported Siegel from the day it opened. I am in the stands every ballgame with season passes. I don't know what your talking about, Messick out jumping anyone. That was not me. Let people bash Siegel all they want on here. Then when its all said and done, Siegel fans/posters can sit back and enjoy a very successful season and everyone hating on Siegel can eat their words.
  6. Why don't you just shut up SG! Siegel posters and myself our tired of hearing you tear down everyone else's school on here and give the rest of us a bad name. Give credit where credit is due! IF Siegel makes a run for that gold ball, they are going to need the support from the rest of the county schools. Just like Rutherford county came out to support Oakland in their run at football this year, I would like to see the same for whatever rutherford county team may make a state appearance in basketball this year. Show some respect!
  7. I also must agree with Respect. The Siegel group a few years back was a great bunch of guys and fun to watch. But the did not play well as a team. This year, this group of guys play like a team. That is the difference. If they continue to play as a team, I think next year will be the year for the golden ball.
  8. Still your not getting the point. Full time employee (asst, principal) at one school gets their child in ANOTHER school they don't work at (open zone or not) and the full time employee (cafeteria worker)wants their child at the school they are employed and was denied. Just wanted to know if playing basketball had anything to do with it. One child did and one child didn't.
  9. I haven't posted on here in a long time. Sometimes I get so frustrated I don't want to say the wrong thing or write something that someone else twists around. Stop grouping all posters from the various schools together. The one or two arrogant Siegel posters don't represent the school. They give Siegel a bad rap. Not just Siegel, but there are posters from the other schools that aren't helping their school's cause either. I think all posters from all schools are very passionate about their school and team, as it should be. We forget that alot of the postings are opinions and thats ok. Not everyone is going to agree. All schools are going to complain about refs at one point or another. And yes I have seen some bad officiating this year. And I was watching some other teams in tournament play so I'm not talking about just Siegel or 7aaa. I give props to Oakland on their win. Siegel was so off their game that night because Oakland took them out of their "run and gun" game. Siegel can learn a good lesson from the loss on how to improve thier game and make it more dimensional. If not, take note EVERYONE from here on out will slow down and play a half court offense. One more thing and I'll stop. Why do people keep thinking kids are recruited and not in the correct zone? Who would be that stupid to risk forfeiting an entire season if they are caught. I know for a fact that everyone on Siegel's team is living in the zone legally. In my job, I have access to these sort of records. Now I also know there are loopholes to be found too. And all schools know about them too. When my family moved back to the Boro 7 years ago, we looked at homes in specific school zones. Who doesn't? When I ask what the policy for zoning was for those employed at Rutherford County schools, I was told if the parent or legal guardian was a full time employee of that school their child could go there. Not a part time caferteria worker or MDA. How about a vice prinicipal at another RC school where their child was allowed to pick what school they wanted to go to. Example - parent employed at Laverge, kid goes to Oakland, zoned for Siegel. Now how about a caferteria worker, full time at one school, lives in another school's zone and their child was denied a zone exemption to the school that the parent work full time at. Why the difference you asked? Makes you wonder. Me too. But it happened to my family. Recruiting? maybe... But, everything still worked out for the good. Hope everyone's remaining season is safe and injury free!

    No sports

Sorry but our band does not get a penny off the ticket sales or any other sales at the game. If it was not for the 180+ members of the band and their parents, the stands would be empty at our games. The football team is not that good.
  11. It was a great run with Coach Harris. He will be missed!! Much luck in the future.

You do mean a Spelling Test for uncfan09? Ha
  13. That comment was not neccessary. Siegel did very well with a strong and very quick team. No wonder Ridgeway is no. 1. Ridgeway will surely win it all. Watch White Station also last night. White Station didn't seem as strong. Can you imagine if Murfreesboro City had open enrollment like Memphis? Football would be lined up at Riverdale, baseball players would be lined up at Oakland, Blackman boys with soccer and a toss up for Coach King and Siegel for basketball. Ridgeway and White Station are definitely stacked with talent. I hate the gold ball is going back west. Great season this year! Love District 7 AAA basketball!! Can't wait till next year. Hope everyone stays healthy and injury free this off season. Go Siegel!! Thanks for some great memories!!
  14. 85 is right. The last one to leave Sparta has to turn the redlight off. Sometimes the smaller counties have the largest support. Its called town pride.
