Is baseball not double elimination? Just wondering.

I thought everything that Smyrna did was great. Our girls had a great time (except for the match). and are looking forward to coming back again soon. Something I would like to see is for the tournament to expand (have the sectional round in Smyrna) and make it a double elimination. We hosted a sub state round, but I would understand why teams would be upset to have to travel to another place where one team would have all the advantages. Same thing for the double elimination. If you are going to have teams travel from all over the state, I would like the chance at more than just one match. I know the purpose is to win, but I think there would be a greater intrest and more fans that would hang around for more days than what they did. Either way it was fun. Congrats to Wilson Central on their win over us!

Bartlett defeated Lexington 13.5 to 13.5 with overall pins going to Bartlett to seal the win. I do not know anything about Lexington except for what I saw today, but Bartlett had an off day. Infact in the last game, 4 Bartlett girls lost by a total of 12 pins. Two girls by one pin. Pinfall was 2703 to 2564. Great match by both teams!

Bartlett defeated Bolton yesterday in the Region 8 championship. So now Bartlett will take on Lexington on Saturday at Bartlett with Bolton travling to Hardin County. Any thoughts about the match ups?

Why can they not just do the seeding once they know all of the teams? As long as the teams know when to show up, it should not be a problem in letting them know who they will be playing once they arrive. Just a thought.

Bartlett defeated Bolton 19-9 Off the top of my head, I want to say it was Bartlett with 2900 and Bolton with 2800 pins.

Here are the resluts from the Region 8 girls tournament yesterday: 1st round: Bolton defeated Central Craigmont defeated Ridgeway 2nd Round: Bolton defeated White Station 20-8 Bartlett defeated Craigmont 17.5 to 9.5 Championship game between Bolton and Bartlett will be on Wednesday at 3pm at Bartlett Lanes. Bartlett defeated Bolton 2 times during the regular season, but Bolton has been bowling their best games of the year in the district and now region tournament. It should be a great match up!

Region 8- District 18 Boys: 1. Craigmont 2. Central Girls: 1. Craigmont 2. Central

Region 8- District 17 Boys- 1st- Collierville 2nd- Bolton Girls- 1st- Bartlett 2nd- Bolton Girls Region tournament will be the 12th and 17th (finals) at Bartlett Lanes. Boys Region will be the 16th and 18th at FunQuest Lanes in Collierville.
