The fact remains. Upperman won. LA lost. That makes Upperman #1, LA #2. Looks like it will stay that way until these two meet again. How do you decide the tie-breaker? (assuming LA can win the next match)

No, I do consider him successful. I was meaning that IMO a state championship would be more successful. But my post did make it sound like I didn't think he was successful. I should have worded it differently. Just my thoughts. You are right though, anyone that can coach that long in this town is a success.

So who is next for LA?

Or when he wins a State Championship. Something the other never did. Thats a true measure of success. Coaching for 35+ years isn't excactly what I would consider success. However, it is very impressive that he could coach that long. NOW.... get back to talking about the Upperman game.

Weak games might of had something to do with it.... You still have to come out ready to play. Night in. Night out. Because if I looked at the schedule correctly, LA has 6 more of those so called 'weak' teams to play before they play Upperman again.

So can we say Upperman is the better team now? Looks like LA will have to work to get themselves back on top. I look for this one to go the other way next time. I didn't like the part where the Upperman kid tried to 'take out' Dunn(if thats what he was trying to do). I especially didn't like Upperman's coach nodding in approval after his player did it(which made it look like that was his goal). Maybe the game has changed over the years, but most coaches wouldn't approve of that.

I think the LA girls will keep it close with Upperman through most of the game. However, I think Upperman wins this one. My Prediction LA - 41 UH - 53

I must admit. I left a little early. Both teams gave a great effort. LA is a powerful team. Best of luck to Smith Co. in the rest of their games.

You are right on all points. However, I think the post play for LA has been getting better lately. Devon Ramsey is a good shooter and could be unstoppable if he really set his mind to it. Brad Jackson is also playing very well lately. He is very quick for a big man and is great at getting to the goal.

Livingston. They are better! I think LA will take this one. However, If LA overlooks this team it just might be their closest game since that trip to Ensworth.
