I think it was some guy from Rogersville passing through asking directions to Morristown.

The most " classlessest" ones were SH coaches and DC players. That announcer at SH came in third " classlessest."

Classless is definitely the word for it but not the players, I blame the coach. That tweeting and texting goes on every week at every school. A quality coach knows better but it is what it is.

In response to the weak conference games excuse: You couldn't win it all when you were in the Big Yeast conference, or the Big 10, so don't blame the Big 8. The biggest reason you can't win it now is that since about 1965 you actually have to win on the field. Good luck finding a better coach than Clark. There are some out there but they have a team already.

Everybody is all worked up and I bet Coach is playing golf somewhere. Yeah, he called a bunch of dives and counters when he should have been getting first downs to eat clock. It wouldn't have mattered, you were headed for a bigger butt whooping the next week. The last 8 years there was no football title team in Kingsport. You mention Turner and Rankin. Why would they want to come to DB? Unless Rankin catches heat for this season he will definitely stay. Turner would be taking a BIG step back. He is probably looking at a bigger college job right now. Join the rest of East Tenn. Grab some popcorn and start watching Basketball. Before long you can start crowing about how this is the year.

Henry County should roll easily in this one. Hope to make it down in a few weeks to catch a real game. This stuff in Upper East TN is getting to me.

I have seen what could be considered cheap shots on kickers before, but the kicker is a member of the team last time i checked. If he doesn't want to get hit he should just make a beeline for the sidelines after kickoff. Otherwise, strap it on and grow a set.

I'll have to pick Gate City in this one. GC 28 South 21. Maybe the best game of the week to watch.

I personally believe the size of enrollment does matter. Especially late in season and late in a game due to injury, playing both ways, etc. Depth is a key ingredient in a playoff run. I will pick Boone by 10. Boone 31 HV 21

Why so weak in the Big 8 this year? I believe basketball will come early for most this year. Hate to say it, but other areas lok a lot better than Big 8 as a unit. DB appears to be better than normal, maybe the same could be said for Johnson City. Everybody else is either about the same or down. Central, Volunteer, Crockett are even down it seems like. South and Boone have been disappointing. Bristol? Maybe the jury is still out on them.
