  1. REMATCH Well, this is the most important between the Cats and Chargers. Win or...... go home. Lay it all on the line and leave it all on the field. What's your predictions?? Aderhold and Shaw will prob not start for M.C. nor will Bean or Phillips for Polk. Who will pitch? Who will win and advance to the Region Tourney and a shot at Meigs for the Title? Pitching- CENTRAL_Ryne Rayburne and/or Ethan Starr with Coleman in relief POLK_Tyler Davis and/or Tracy Beard and/or Ryan Qualls my pick Polk in 9 innings.
  2. Honestly, Central has an advantage, because of the dweeps that sit right behind the plate. The catcher for all the teams must stay focused and not let the students get to them. That's about all the advantage they will have. You still must hit the ball, and field the ball. It's very simple
  3. One other note. I'm sure everyone would like to know the All-District Teams. MVP- Tanner Davis (Polk County) {Roane State} (CO)- Pitchers of the Year- Tyler Roberts (Meigs County) {Univ. of Memphis}, Josh Garland (Meigs County) {Roane State}, Britt Shaw (McMinn Central) Coach of the Year- Clint Baker (Meigs County) Team of the Year- MEIGS COUNTY TIGERS, District record 14-2 ALL-DISTRICT 1. Meigs County- Tyler Roberts, Howie Meadows, Josh Garland, Casey Metts, Brandon Watkins 2. Polk County- Brandon Bean, Tracey Beard, Ryan Qualls, Josh Rose, Tyler Davis 3. McMinn Central- Britt Shaw, Ethan Starr, Shane Moses, Seth Walker, Ty Garrett 4. Boyd Buchanan- Matt Gentry ................. 5. Sweetwater-....................... 6. Tyner- Derryk Willingham............... 7. Sequoyah- Elden Moser.......... 8. Brainerd- Cedric Henderson, Anthony Know.............. 9. Tellico-...................... If you know anyone else that made the All District team please re post them.
  4. Alright, this topic isn't as hot as I would've thought it would've been, but probably because everyone has other games to think about. But after the finals last night i do believe that all of the Regular Season district games have been played. here are some finals from yesterday (04-30-07) Meigs 16 Tyner 0 Meigs 9 Tyner 2 Boyd 4 Brainerd 0 Boyd 8 Brainerd 2 Non District game Central 2 Walker Valley 3 The top 4 spots have been clinched. 1. Meigs County Tigers 14-2 note BACK TO BACK REGULAR SEASON CHAMP 2. Polk County Wildcats 13-3 3. McMinn Central Chargers 13-3 4. Boyd Buchanan Bucs 10-6 5-9 I have no clue, and nothing against them but one of the top 3 will win it. Nobody else can compete day in day out with Meigs Polk or Central. This should be great, Please reply.
  5. It's tournament time in TENNESSEE!!!! Or should I say almost tournament time. Well the standings are 1. Meigs 2. Polk 3. Central 4. Boyd 5. SweetH2O 6. Tyner 7. Sequoyah 8. Brainerd 9. Tellico What are the predictions on the 2007 District 5-AA Results???? Lets talk!!
  6. Does anyone know what the brackets look like? If you do please put them on here. Thanks so much
  7. Polk Won the toss. So it's 1. Meigs 2. Polk 3. Central 4. Boyd 5. Sweetwater 6. Tyner 7. Sequoyah 8. Brainerd 9. Tellico ?????????????
  8. I've heard a lot of smack talking about how good the Chargers could be, but I still don't think they will have what it takes to beat Meigs, Polk, ND, Howard, East Ridge.
  9. Thanks. Right now it is 1. Meigs Co. 2. Central 2. Polk 4. Boyd 5. SweetH2O 6. Tyner 7. Sequoyah 8. Brainerd 9. Tellico
  10. Yes, considering these two schools could possibly be one of the biggest rivalries in the area in every sport. Every time these two meet up (Cats vs. Chargers) you know your in for a dandy and that both teams fans will be going crazy from the time they arrive till the time they leave. The tourney will be another dandy, where as in recent years its been Walker Valley who went 4 straight years without a district loss. Last year it was Meigs County and this year any of the top 3 could win it. (Central, Meigs, Polk) All 3 have the potential, but do they all 3 have the heart and desire to win???? We'll see in a week.
  11. Your correct. I'm telling ya, we're lucky nothing got started. I'm just excited about the 2007 district 5-aa tourney. Should be a dandy.
  12. What was the arguement about when Starr stole and the throw from Qualls went airborn? Was he interferred with or just a bad throw? I was at the concessions and the play was over and Tripplett was on the field by the time I turned around.
  13. No problem. You going down to Bradley tomorrow?
  14. If this is the case why don't you shut Centrals basketball student section up? That was the fans doing the talking. Please give a few of the Polk players credit for controlling themselves and not making a fool of themselves like has happened in the past. (Beard, Qualls, Davis, and Hammons {transfer from Central}) I thought all of these boys did the right thing. I did not see no jawing or anything from player to player in the game. GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP both Polk and Central players
  15. Not showing you up Scout but their have been schedule changes. The Bear Classic was cancelled I think due to not enough teams. Thurs- Polk @ Bradley 7:00 Friday- Polk @ Walker Valley 7:00 Monday- OFF DAY. The Dammers cancelled Tuesday- Polk vs. Christian Heritage- SR night 5:00 This is what I heard yesterday. If anyone knows other wise please correct me.
