well now that all the teams are in the same region for the first time since liberty has been added who do you think will be the best team in jackson especially now that a region title and seeding in the playoffs now is also on the line on top of it just being rivalry games. liberty, northside, jcm, southside all in the same region these games should be really interesting if they werent already

I agree jcm is not doing well right now and hopefully the plan they hopefully plan to use over the next few years will save and fix the school. But i do not agree that the jackson school systems and every school is headed downward or out of control sadly the way jcm is going is influencing and making many people think that all jackson schools are that bad and are that out of control or on their way to that bad.

SS does not return their qb that is one of the questions for them this yr but they have a very talented up and comer this yr that if he gets his head on straight should do the job. they return 44 Darryl Rogers 8 David Smith and 28 Tavarius Ingram to the backfield and and on defense. the place where most would see them hurt the most is probably on the line. They return Nigel Collier to the line and this yrs line is probably bigger than last yrs. on both sides if they can be intense and focused then the line and the team as a whole can be good. like said the athletes are there they just got to make sure the linemen get their heads on right and with the coaches i have no doubt the linemen will be fine or else they wont play no matter how big they are these coaches put the best players in to play no matter what the size.

Is coach Glover the coach who was the coach of JCM this past season or of the years before that.

i don't remember right off the top of my head hoping someone could remind me of where kendall dangerfield end up going and how he is doing now.

I know it's early but to stir up the juices for the season a little bit open conversation as to who is in the hunt for the 4a crown this year. Would really like to hear from some West Tenn. folk never seems to be any talk from us about doing anything. I know my juices kind of got going I just finished my last season of high school football for Jackson Southside and was blessed to get some sort of scholarship to play ball at the next level. And hearing all this talk about spring ball starting to get me going again.

Bethel in general will be well represented from Tennessee I'm pretty sure they signed either 37 players from Tennessee on signing or 37 players in general all except 3 were from Tennessee one from GA, another from TX, I think another from Fla. and that was just on signing day I know within the next week they signed 3 more from Jackson Southside so Bethel's success will be success for a lot of programs across the state.

Will there be any games to see including a 6 3a team there hasn't been much talk about this region.

I don't know to much about the other schools but I know Southside has not even begun spring training yet. And first scrimmage will not be till next month likely to be Camden and Brighton during seperate weeks.

1. Henry county 2. Northside 3. Hardin county 4. Liberty 5. Munford 6. Brighton 7. J.C.M. ( I believe can finish anywhere in the bottom 4 if the coach can do well getting these kids motivation back up, they always has talent, and if can apply that talent to the field they may not finish in last place. ) ( Since I believe there will not be much contention I won't speak to much on Henry county. ) I don't think this region will be as easy to win as people think. I do believe that Henry county will in the end win the region but games in this region will be a lot closer, than most think and will be close games for fans. In my list I believe at least the top four teams if not the rest bring back a lot of talent. Northside as we know has a great running back, and bring back a good amount of experience to this year's team. Hardin county I believe has a lot of talent returning as well. Liberty does have a lot of talent has big players and a pretty good running back. Munford and Brighton both have talented players and will look to improve more this season. J.C.M. has good athletes all over the field from the line to the backfield and the secondary on defense. If they get a good coach who will apply some discipline and this could be a good team. And since seeing that their problems are not really their players I think if they can fix those needs all depending on the coach then they can get back in the mix of the region as soon as this year. So I believe after maybe the top three this region is up for grabs and there is no sure thing in how this region will turn out.

i believe all the teams in this region have the talent to be better than last year's team. Many of these teams do have a few spots to shore up from seniors leaving or whatever reason but the majority of these teams do return a lot of talent. This region could easily be a race to the finish between all the teams chester co. may not beat any of the teams in the region but you best believe they're going to try their hardest and might pull of an upset or two. The only team that I believe the seniors play just stood out the most was Fayette Ware. A lot of those athletes will have graduated but I believe Fayette Ware along with Bolivar is really starting to build a program. If you ask a lot of people that have watched and grew up in this football region for the past 10-15 years at least. They will probably tell you this region was much stronger and had better games when Crockett co. and Milan were in this region. Along with Southside, McNairy cent. , Bolivar that was a tough region to contend with and we might have had a lapse in overall strength from top to bottom over the past few years but I believe over the next few years this region from top to bottom could really start making deep runs in the playoffs year in and year out.

I believe it might have been the fact that coach hayes coach at southside for at least the past 20 years leaves. With all the rumors as to why he had to leave and their off. coord. during the season it was probably like a cyclone over there developing having to do with the football program and the football program over the past few years has been the most important and successful sport at southside. Him having spent the past six or seven years their at least coach Driggers probably felt that he had a better bond with those kids at southside. With people not supporting the decision of him being coach in the first place. From what has been said the favorites then and now is Decker and Kendell, he probably didn't feel wanted enough to keep him there. But I believe that the outcome may rest mainly on the shoulders of those who make the coaching selections. He is a good coach, but the voice of the community and the fans should be weighed as well, not to say that the fans voice should be heard louder than any other reason of hiring a coach. The best decision I think the A.D. can make as far as the hire for a coach is to not come to a compromise but weigh in the communities voice more into the decision but at the same time give them an ultimatum between the coaches you as well believe would be good for the program.

if anybody knows could you post what the 6-3a all region team is last year southside had many players that were 1st team do you think it will be the same or will there be another team to rise up.

is this going to be an actual game or just something to put in the newspapers and the on the ball and all that? If its a real game where will it be played, when, and at what time isn't usual that they have a Tennessee all star team face a Kentucky all star team instead of an east vs. west tennessee game im not complaining i think i would rather see a east vs. west tennessee all star game.
