Neither school puts money in the stadium. It is maintained by the Hamblen County School Sytem along with stadium sponsors !

Eastfan I agree with you, I think West is well coached and has the right mix (running & passing)to go far this year ! Also that Defense is very strong !

Well after last night I would have to say our Kicking game is our strong point and our Offense has to be our weak point after being shut out for the third straight game. Our Defense played pretty good but they were on the field the whole game against a very good looking Harlan Co. Kentucky team !

I think Coach Hatcher said they were 10-2 and won in the state semi-finals

The Canes open the Kickoff Classic with Harlan County Ky and we add Knox West and Bearden !

You can call it a butt kicking all you want to,but East had more first downs,more rushing yardage,more passing yardadge and the big thing more mistakes. The should have been alot closer than score indicates. We really kicked our own butt!

It didn't help us any by scrimmaging Bearden Thursday night. The Devils were impressive on the offensive side of the ball.

ME 1's scored 3 touchdowns to SE 1's 0 touchdown. Both teams were stopped on the goal line on their last play of the controlled part of scrimmage. Both teams second units scored one touchdown. Note that Demarcus Knight,Chris Lowe,Shane Hux,D.D. Johnson,Candler Christian and Austin Turner didn't play. Tee Howell looked very good tonight as did Tyler Turner. The QB from Sulllivan East was also very impressive.

I hope he stays with us as well,but I'm not for treating anyone special!

Word from his uncle at Mahle is he is unhappy because of his lack of a chance to play fullback. I understand that he has a brother that lives in Sevierville.

Talking about losing alot; think about the defense. Next year we lose P. Johnson,Murdock,Hammer,Thompson,Taylor,Singleton and Knight(if he jumps ship to the Trojans or Smoky Bears ).Coach Seals will have his work cut out for him .

We lose three linemen (Mills,Lamb & Carpenter) coaches have already talked to Yount & Hux about extra running to thin down. Penabla is about as lite as he can be; Lynch also is around 205-210 .What is going to happen when we try to move kids like DB & DC defensive linemen?
