Wow based on what we usually see from WC faithful, I am going to make a prediction just for them. DUH C 110 SHS -15 Does that 125 point spread sound about right? Somebody should tell the back to back defending champs to forfeit the game since they obviously have no chance at winning. Honestly some of the posts here are so comical. I love getting a good laugh out of them and they are even funnier when Smyrna rolls past a team that is so much "better" than them. GO DAWGS!!!

Has W.C. ever beaten Smyrna? I think that the been there done that mentality will set in for Smyrna and they will win in a close one. Smyrna's QB is growing up before our eyes and the timing of his passes and his decision making gets better every week. Add to that Smyrna is playing at home and on senior night and Smyrna will have to give the ball away in turnovers and bad field position to lose to W.C.

Unless riverdale is throwing the ball much better than usual or their stats show, I don't think Riverdale can win big unless Smyrna gets VERY sloppy on offense and gives up points to R'dales defense. I cannot agree with the other previous poster either as Smyrna does not have the offensive firepower to win by 3 or 4 TD's. This game will be smash mouth who can run better in the trenches game. Turnovers and as always special teams will determine this outcome and because of Yoder for Smyrna I give the dogs a slight edge.

Looke dude you beat a Smyrna team in week 0 with a new coaching staff, a QB who had NEVER played the position and you still had to use a pick 6 in the final moments to secure the win. Do you honestly think that Watson and the fading stars want any part of Smyrna now? I can only pray for a playoff matchup that brings Smyrna back to Seagull. Wait until you actually make the playoffs for the wait let me check...yep.. FIRST time in school history before talking smack about the back to back defending 5A champs.

I am probably a bit biased, but kicker should be Yoder from Smyrna this guy is the real deal. EVERY full kickoff in neutral wind has resulted in a touchback including a few that went through the uprights. He is a phenomenal punter as well has has 45 yard range on his field goals. If this is not enough, he picked up a horrible snap on an extra point Friday night against LaVergne and ran it in through eight tacklers for the 2 point conversion. If 5A kicker should go to the best all around kicker/punter/athlete Yoder is definitely the best.

Any particular reason why? As much as I enjoy everybody and there momma saying (Insert favorite team's name here) is going to win, how a bout a bit of insight as to why they are going to win.

Don't get too caught up in the playoffs just yet Seagull Grad. You lose to Oakland and Lebanon and you guys are out in the cold where you belong.

Might as well get this one started. Pretty much a must win for either squad. Smyrna has looked better and better on defense, but Bryson only plays one series against LaVergne after hurting an ankle. Riverdale is coming off a tough loss against WC and has their backs against the wall at home. So how does this one shake out? Smyrna has the better defense, Riverdale has the better offense when they don't shoot themselves in the foot. Smyrna probably has a slight edge in special teams. I will take Smyrna in a thriller 24-20

Well I am back from "tooting" my tuba at the game. Gallatin just came up 26 points or so from everyone on heres prediction of them hanging 30+ on smyrna. The game worked itself out just like I described in my earlier post on here, but I am just a "band geek" apparently based on my screen name. Too bad I know absolutely nothing about football. Next time you people try to judge somebody from a screen name instead of knowing what they know I hope it comes back to bite you just like this.

If you mean my bachelors from Vanderbilt and my Masters from MTSU then yes I wouldn't get to comfortable having them around if they are really any good.

What the crap? People can come on this board and say that Gallatin is going to hang 31 on Smyrna and destroy them, but my comments are crazy? Bulldog 86 you don't have a clue who I am and what I know. I know as much or more about football than you think. Again, the band part has nothing to do with the marching band. As to not respecting Gallatin, I hope Bulldog 86 didn't go to smyrna, because they obviously cannot read. I simply stated that Gallatin likes to run the ball and Smyrna has a greatly improving defense especially against the run. Since both teams are so run oriented, NOBODY will score a lot of points. But I guess just because I have the word "band" in my username that I don't know what I am talking about. What a joke some of you are.

IF and it is a big IF Gallatin wins, they will not even score 14. I completely realize that Smyrna is struggling to find itself offensively, but the defense is STOUT. Bulldogs on a late FG win 10-7

A lot depends on whether Bryson plays or not. He sat out the entire 2nd half against Blackman. Hope he is o.k.

Tut Tut boys. Lavergne should change their colors to green because of the envy they have for Smyrna. You mention the scores by former Lavergne players. If this Booker kid or your new QB are any good and not seniors do you think they won't run to Smyrna? And down years? Smyrna has made the playoffs for years and will again this year after feeding on the weak teams of the region like the loserines.
