  1. It should be interesting to see if Jason Eubanks gets the last laugh out of this game. I'm hoping he does.
  2. Congrats to Brentwood on a successful season. However it is very disappointing that one of the Williamson County teams could not make it to the championship game this year. There was a fine tradition set before you and you failed to live up to it. For the amount of money that goes into these programs, it is hugely disappointing. Oh well time to start preparing for next year.
  3. This is ridiculous. People should complain to the TSSAA. But this kind of thing has happened before. There have been several teams, in previous years, that have gone 7-3 and have been left out of the playoffs, while 2-8 teams got in.
  4. Someone please elaborate on Indy's D-coordinator and the situation at hand.
  5. Curtis Steele is Centennial's best football player ever.
  6. Who does Indy scrimmage in the pre-season and when?
  7. Depending on how a team uses 7 v 7, it can be beneficial during the off-season. However W's and L's in 7 v 7 mean nothing when it comes time for the regular season. It will be interesting to see how Indy does this year. I believe they have a solid group of young men coming back this season; however are lacking the overall team speed they had last season. I do believe there are a couple of seniors who can take their game to the next level (NAIA or Div 2) if they play to their potential this season.
  8. Agreed. And I think Chris was every bit as good as Issac and would have done likewise.
  9. I bet Chris Darnell and Issac Baugh are wishing they had had Coach Dyson as a receivers coach in their day. /roflolk.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflolk:" border="0" alt="roflolk.gif" />
  10. Everything you said is true, however I wouldn't put all your eggs in one basketball about Gates. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. Not really. But if you are talking about the old region as a whole I will give you this, region 6 or "the williamson county teams" were down two seasons ago in the 07-08 school year. However this past season and seasons before it has been somewhat competitive, but the nods obviously going to Rutherford County over Williamson but not by much; especially when you throw out the 07-08 school year teams. But let's let the future speak for itself.
  12. Agreed. I just wonder if Indy has 7 guys up front that can get to the football. We will see though.
  13. He was the former head coach at Page High. His last season was in 04 or 05 (I know he saw Jarod Elliot through graduation) before Palmer took over. He's a good, hard nosed, "discipline-demanding" coach. I think this is a good edition to the staff. However, he has been in retirement since then, selling real estate.
  14. Very interesting. Bennet is finally coming out of retirement with the enemy. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  15. I was up at Indy the other afternoon and walked by their weight room and saw some big, young men (4 or 5) in there. They didn't appear to be lineman either, but I can't verify that. If these are current players at Indy, other teams had better watch out.
  16. Bruce McCurdy And on another note, his senior season was the best this region has ever been as far as overall level of play.
  17. Brentwood, Ravenwood, Hillsboro, Centennial, Independence, and Franklin.
  18. I will say this: In my opinion running a spread offense N. Smith should have been the starter. If the coach had taken a different approach to the offense and made it a more run based offense, then A. Heckman should have been the starter. I don't think it's wrong to talk about the past, but there is a future ahead that happens to be very unpredictable if you ask a lot of people over there at Indy. And that unpredictability starts with the head chief T. Campbell. Congrats to all of the young men who played last season that just graduated.
  19. If memory serves me right the 07 graduating class had 5 young men go on to play college ball, the 08 class had 7, and the 09 class had 5. Not too bad for a new school, when after 3 graduating classes have had 17 players go on to the next level to play.
  20. Congrats Coach. Should make for an interesting game when Centennial and Indy meet next season.
  21. Lost a lot of respect for UT and Kiffin on this one.
  22. Wasn't able to make the scrimmage, but how'd it go?
  23. CHS as in Centennial High School? And where do you draw this conclusion from?
