My takes from the game... like you I was there in person and rewatched on film 1... Loretto's fans are "entitled." They ached and whined for 3+ Qs.... I started the game pulling for them but by HT I was in Summertown's corner 2... We've seen those officials for years in the Knoxville area, I knew it was going to be very physical 3... I also knew when Summertown's BIG was fouled out 94ft from basket, it was Loretto's game---and it was. The ticky tack on her guarding Weathers right in front of me was just that.... another foul (maybe her 4th) should have been on her teammate in the paint. And then the 5th..... you don't call that in a one point game after they'd been letting them hammer on each other for 3+ (but like I said, we've seen it for years)

We seem to forget that in COVID times many games were played at less than full strength.... meaning games in November are irrelevant. Example... Oneida played at Cosby down 2 starters, including the Dist 3A player of the year Wartburg hosted TP minus 3 starters due to Covid and tracing Its just so hard to base any predictions on earlier games Anyone of 6 teams can represent ETN in the state tourney NGreene is clearly a favorite but after that... it is wide open

Isaac will be having another surgery Monday... his Thursday surgery went as well as could be expected, odds are much better he will get to keep his leg than they were 24hrs ago Please keep praying

Prepping for 2nd surgery this morning... please keep prayers coming folks its 50/50 on whether he gets to keep leg or have it amputated..... praying for Isaac and his wonderful team of doctors

I ask ya'll to pray for the Morgan family as well as the Oneida Indians Football Family.... one of their own was critically injured in a car accident Monday night. Isaac Morgan, a SOPH lineman and brother to all-state RB/P Kolby, was flown to UT with multiple injuries including facial wounds/breaks, hand burns, and badly broken leg(s) that will require multiple surgeries to fix!

I'm looking forward to the day Noah Buttram becomes eligible... will help the team tremendously (I think GAME 5) Till then..... it'll be Kolby Morgan's responsibility to help his young Injians that can Starting this Friday at YAI..... I hear tale that Oneida offered to play game at home and split gate with YAI due to the limited seating but it was no can do.... not that home field will matter Oneida 34, York 8

A name to watch for the Injians is Elijah West... he saw some action at QB and SS last week in his return from ACL surgery..... with him under C, Oneida is a completely different team than the one everyone saw on film vs OS and vs York Does his return means Oneida wins? That is not what I am saying but I don't think it'll be the cakewalk pujo thinks either That is my 2C

Great ballgame at Harryman last night by both teams.... I saw nothing but hustle from 2 teams eyeing the same prize. I wish nothing but good fortune and luck to Oneida as they earned the right to host and Meigs as they travel! Dish came up big time and again for the Lady Indians on the offensive end.... Like Kaz ahead of me, there were numerous "untouted" heroes for the Lady Indians in the hustle and D category last night. Brooks took the huge charge and was on the court after loose balls too many times to count... Lowe took a couple forearms across the face yet maintained control of the ball.... Boyatt swatted and boarded sevl big time shots.... Thomas with her athletic ability kept Meigs at bay on both ends.... Bert did her thing in the paint to neutralize.... and the pesky 3 of Hutson, Wright, and Newport kept hounding away and tiring down Meigs throughout the night. It wouldnt be complete without mentioning Buttram contributing in her limited time as well. It was truly a TEAM effort from the heart. Meigs came up big time and time again... sorry I don't remember names but 3, 23, and 25 deserve some props as 3 popped big shot after big shot, 25 manned the lane, and 23---well, that girl has game. It was a 12 RD bout....with Oneida winning by the slimmest of margins. Congrats and good luck ladies

Kaz..... Wartburg and Coalfield each won their respective games big on Tuesday night. As for the 4 vs 5, Sunbright goes into Terry L. Hacker gymnasium and pulled off the unthinkable, 50-47.... setting the stage for Friday night. You were right my friend... Yaden had his girls ready to play See yall Friday at The Burg....

I see Oneida excised the demons of OS past last night on The Reservation 69-36........ and meanwhile in Decatur, Greenback was busy scalping the Tigers 60-57 Things and results that make you go hmmmmm....... District tourney play and the Region that ensues out to be interesting to watch play out!

For all the marbles at Wartburg.... in about 9 hours, we'll see who can earn top honors in District 4A..... I know the district SEMI and CSHIPs are at Wartburg per the norm but who is hosting the region this year?

I for one, as do many others, know that the field at GP could be a total quagmire without the benefit of any rain....I can't imagine what a little rain would do to that field!!! Just ask any member of the MAVs from a few years back in the play-offs.....so here's hoping for plenty of sunshine, or else you could be parking your cars on the baseball field, and then wading through the mud on the football field
