I hate to tell you guys but we (Anderson County) haven't played anybody yet. You guys act like this game will be easy. Have you looked at who OR has played? The same teams and they gave up less points to all of them. They played toe to toe with Maryville last week and we don't have a win over a team with a winning record. We lost a ME while they lost to 2 top ten teams.. I think you guys better back off the smack talk and worry about the game.

Would that be Bubba Scarbrough? Or another one of Clinton's finest?

Wasn't it Marsh who got in the pushing match with Stanton Steven's?

Oak Ridge is going for their second win in a row. Looking at their schedule and their team I don't see them winning back to back games all season except this week and last.

Sorry to say it but Oak Ridge stinks. They aren't a top 10 team and probably will struggle to make the top four in their region. Dobyns-Bennett will burst their bubble in two weeks. After watching Clinton last night, I think they will do the same. Oak Ridge isn't the Oak Ridge of old.

Does Ron Grey have anything to do with Oak Ridge team anymore? Last Friday I thought Oak Ridge looked as bad on offense as any Oak Ridge team I had ever seen. Period. Who runs the offense there?

From Today's Knoxville News Sentinel (Anderson/Blount in brief) Oak Ridge High School Principal Chuck Carringer on Monday said an altercation involving the school's head football coach following the Oak Ridge Clinton game Friday remains under review. Clinton officials allege Oak Ridge Coach Stanton Stevens cursed Clinton students who came onto the field after the game and then shoved Clinton Assistant Coach Richie Marsh in the chest with both hands knocking him backward. Stevens allegedly then had to be physically restrained by others as the incident came close to escalating and involving players, according to Clinton High Officials. Carringer wouldn't comment on the allegations. " I regret that the situation occurred, " he said and will take the approriate action after the review." Stevens wasn't avialable for comment. Oak Ridge won the 35-21. The Clinton-Oak Ridge rivalry is longstanding and has included incidents of vandalism in the past. Why hasn't the Oak Ridger reported this? Willy Ronny boy Grey be coach by Friday?

Won't this be Ronnie Grey's Karn's team vs the team he turned his back on Bearden? Any thoughts there or is that old news?

Do Maryville fans look forward to moving up to 5A? It must get very boring to win every year with very little competition.

Is Shadduck on the hot seat there at Clinton or is he safe?

I think it's great that you stand by the kids and the coach in times of trouble but get real. No player development under Stattuck. Sounds like the weightroom and field will be nice for the improving 1-9 Dragons. Where is the improvement on the field? High school ball doesn't take three years to improve. All Clinton players should transfer to other schools where 1-9 isn't seen as improving but a disgrace.

It is so sad that the guys at Clinton and the entire city pride have been brought down by this horrible football program. I want you Clinton fans to point out where the improvements have been over the past three years? Name them? Do you guys want to win football games or sing the praises of one of your own who continues to fail? I don't get it. Lenior City will win this one and Clinton will finish 1-9 again this season. A program can be turned around quicker than three years. It's not like every team doesn't change players every three years anyway. It's high school not the pro's. Kids come and go at all schools but at Clinton you must need several generations to improve. I think Coach S needs to send a gift to the Campbell County coach for keeping his record just above Coach Cattlet's final mark. Open your eyes and see that 1-9 isn't improvement but the same old same old.

Andy S is getting the Buzz Peterson treatment over here. He is a great guy so you pull for him but if he can't beat SD and if they lose to us. When will the moving vans be outside his house? Or do you guys care anymore? Ask the seniors if it's about getting better. and they will tell you that it's about winning. Ask Buzz Peterson the same thing. He got a free ride too and they found somebody to win games and be a nice guy. We shall see Friday.
