It is amazing that Morristown West people always want to build up the Trojans no matter what the sport is, Don't be surprised if they finish 3rd or 4th in their conference. I would look for Morristown East or Greeneville to defend Region 1 District 2

Happy Valley does have sweet grass, Tennessee High has the Best Stadium, Happy Valley- Best Grass. Who was hating on the Rock at Greeneville.

Both teams will have to throw the ball t o win. Greeneville has been a run oriented team all year. Just because they run a spread, doesn't mean they throw the ball everywhere. They threw six passes last week. 5 by Greenway. Believe it or not West throws the ball more.

Greenway won't be the main key but he will help. Like I've said before, Jeremy Barner is a stud for the Devils. Trevon Hall played QB against the Trojans last year. He has greatly improved as a complete player, but Barner will truly be the key this Friday.

Greenway will be ready, He has watched this rivalry for a while. I'm sure he understands the importance of this game. The coaching staff at Greeneville seems to have Greenway under control, keeping him composed and cool on the field. He struggled passing against Volunteer but he still stayed cool enough to lead the Devils to the win, running the ball well. I'm sure the Trojans will be trying to hit him every play, no matter if he has the ball or not.

Well well well, this message board should turn into some good talk by the end of the week. Somebody mentioned a three way tie for the top, the winner of this game will win the conference. With a Greeneville win they will move to first place because they will hold the tie breaker with West. East still has to play Daniel Boone. i wish the Devils got to play Boone again.

This is a heated rivalry, Greeneville hates Morristown West and vice versa. West probably has no respect for Greeneville, but they better be respecting them more and more. Logan Wild better be on his game come next Friday. Should be a packed house. Go Devils!!!

Speaking on Chris West, that kid was best when he was in 8th and 9th grade. He never really progressed like most people thought he would. Cherokee hasn't really been tough since 2001. They were tough then with Sandefer (spelling?) at QB, and in 2000 with Brett Sivert at running back. As far as this Mobuck teams goes, they seem to be big as always, but not very fast. Maybe its the ankle high grass.

There is no good way to get to Volunteer. It is crappy traveling. One thing that I remember about Volunteer is that they are traditionally a dirty team. Stupid dirty!!! I can remember where they hit our QB out of bounds, and he wasn't even in the game. Do they still play like that?

I hope none of the Devils are under estimating a very sneaky Volunteer team. I don't think McCurry will allow them to do that, but they didn't want to play against Boone. Come on Devils, this win could very well put you guys in the driver seat for the conference race. In all I think Volunteer may be one of the best teams in the Five Rivers Conference, that is beside the Devils.

One player that will be very important for the Devils this week will be Jordan Greenway. In games where he has performed well the Devils as a team have done great. I know Greenway struggle earlier in the year, but he seems to be getting better and making much better decisions on the field. Who is the biggest contributor in keeping Greenway under control? Last year before he was dismissed from the team there seemed to be no control. GO DEVILS!

I will have to agree, besides The Stone Castle, I would take Burley Stadium over many schools stadiums. It is really unpredictable what will happen in this game. Cocke County beat Volunteer, Daniel Boone beat Greeneville, Volunteer beat Daniel Boone, and Greeneville wore out Cocke County. Who knows what will happen?

Well its officially game week for Greeneville vs. Volunteer. Greeneville should be rested and Volunteer took a tough loss to a good team last night. Can't wait to see how this week goes.
