  1. Collins Ukwu from La Vergne getting looked at by Kentucky, Arkansas, and quiet a few others. Michael Bryant already commited to Vanderbilt. Chris Gray and Justin Bathers are getting many looks as well. And these are just players from La Vergne.
  2. that unsportsmanlike penalty when sonny got "hit" outta of bounds was bogus.. pretty good acting job by sonny tho. hey, he is good at pitchin, running, quarterbacking, why not acting? lol but on tape and during the game it definately didn't look like it was malicious or on purpose. but as long as La Vergne can just hold WC to under 150 yds runnin and let the "explosive" offense show up then La Vergne wins. If WC runs up and down the field then La Vergne will lose. end of story.
  3. La Vergne's season went wide left. Missed a game winning field goal to the left against Lebanon as well as to Smyrna. Then Siegel won by a game winning field goal. Lost 3 games by a total of 6 points... If there was a game winning field goal envolved then it wasn't good for La Vergne... Add 4 points to La Vergne in those 3 games and La Vergne is tied for first with Riverdale.
  4. lol.. nobody has scored more than 15 points on La Vergne except a MUCH MUCH stronger Lebanon team with a better running game and much stronger offensive line. Siegel cannot match Lebanon in any phase of the game, they will see that on November 2 when they play. If the only thing Siegel has to offer is Caleb Harper than they are in trouble, especially when La Vergne can offer DI prospects such as Chris Gray, Collins Ukwu, Michael Bryant, Justin Bather, Anthony Williams, Randal Tillery and many other playmakers such as Ryan Williams, Shane Barrett, Laron Gardner and quiet a few more.
  5. nope. La Vergne plays with Smyrna and Riverdale and Lebanon. kinda off subject about spread teams but had to clarify wich region which team was in.
  6. La Vergne definately has to be mentioned.... Quinton Patton, Chris Gray, Laron Gardner, and Darnell Horton come together as one of the best receiving cores in the state. And they can also move the ball well without passing, with Tillery (has 879 yards n 5 TD's on 105 carries) La Vergne also plays in the toughest region in the state... 4-5A
  7. Michael Crocker from La Vergne... 1,000 yards passing with 13 TD's through 6 games. pretty impressive numbers.
  8. what are some candidates for coach of the year??? In my opinion, it is Coach Hester from La Vergne with a 5-1 record so far, should/could very easily be 6-0.....
  9. If Oakland will hang on to the ball and make smart decisions on both sides of the ball they will give Smyrna all the can handle... Oakland has a quality running tandom that will sufice for a good one, two punch. If Oakland makes the right choices then i can see Oakland pulling the upset and walking away from Smyrna with a win. If they give up the ball 7 times against the defending 5A champs then we may be talking about a blow out. It depends which Oakland shows up to play.
  10. That comment just shows a COMPLETE lack of respect toward La Vergne. Especially coming from a Siegel team that has been completely blown out by any quality team they've played this year..... and they won't finish this season with a winning record, as usual... and you spelled La Vergne wrong
