    District 3 A/AA

Basically Pigeon Forge came out on fire scoring in the first 2 minutes and never let up after that. It was a complete transformation from the previous match.

    District 2AA

i would just like to point out this tournament wouldn't have happened if it wasn't for the players students family members and coaches at pigeon forge getting the field ready for play during this downpour. i think certain people took us forgranted and without any outside county's help it happened any ways

Who wants to play....I think we are just going to play in July since basketball goes dead after June 20....Is their anyone in the pigeon forge area that want to play?

    Eligibility

What is the rule on quitting a winter sport(cheer leading) and continuing with pre-season work outs and conditioning(softball)for a spring sport? secondly does TSSAA consider cheer leading a sport? I looked on TSSAA website and found it most confusing to understand. If anyone knows anything it would be extremely helpful.

    Predictions for "Sweet Sixteen"?

If i am correct there are 32 teams left in the tournaments. Therefore what is your predictions on the upcoming regional tournaments that will make up substate? I am aware of most action taking place in the A/AA tournaments taking place in East Tennessee, but lets take a look at the competition going on!

    Band a sport? Of course.

First of all this is a forum questioning if band is a sport. On such forums you are to state your opinion about the topic. Therefore I am stating that BAND IS NOT A SPORT. Yes you can sub in a game, But with smaller division schools good substitutes are very rare. Also you must train to be able to stay in the game for it's entirety.Secondly who said band was a geek thing? That is a generalization that i did not make. I used to be in band i considered it a club. I don't however consider myself a geek.Nor are there many people in our band with that label. There are very popular kids in our band one of which is running for our homecoming. Now, how many geeks do you know on homecoming? We have a disagreement. That's OK you are entitled to your opinion "Trademark" feel free to state what you believe to be true. Your alliance lies with band kids. Awesome. I on the other hand would not like to lower the standard of what is considered a sport to such a low degree.

    Band a sport? Of course.

how can you say a 10 minute show is on the same level a sport with 100% action for 40 minutes at a time. You can have your opinion that "soccer is boring", sometimes it is. But you put 2 good aggressive teams on the field and i guarantee you it is much more interesting than watching someone blow a flute. This isn't a boring sports forum it is questioning if band is a sport and i gave my input.Saying that band is a sport is ludicrous I am sorry I don't feel I am the only one to believe this. It is a club/hobby.

    Class A-AA Girls

congratulations to the PF girls. This was the first girls team from the school to ever go to the state championship. We are very proud of Katie Doane, Brittany McCowen and Jericha King.

    Band a sport? Of course.

I in no way believe band to be any where near a sport level. It is a hobby at best. Although they may train, marching is not a sport. If they do not want to carry a tuba..... pick another instrument. They do have band camp but to lower the standards of a sport to band is ridiculous. Not to dis the band kids they love what they do. power to them but just because you love something that has motion involved it doesn't make it a sport. I would however put majorette under the category of dancing which is a sport.
