  1. It's just a shame that Middleton has to go into this without their best player...college signee.. I wish Middleton could have been at full strength in the tourney.
  2. Why are these games being played on a Wed. afternoon? For one thing, that's a crowd killer. Secondly, it makes the 2nd game get into Church time. I understand the situation with the snow and everything....but, Wed. afternoon at 4?
  3. So, District 14 won all but one game.
  4. I heard that Dresden beat Union City, so Greenfield will be playing Dresden at 4 on Wed. afternoon at Bethel University. And, Gibson Co. will be playing Bradford at ?
  5. McKenzie has a good team. They have a White boy that can shoot the 3, and a tall, Black kid that is a talented ball player. I'm sorry, but I can't remember their names. From what I saw the night I saw them play Greenfield, they're a pretty good team. I'm gonna predict that District 14 will win all the games, except the one where the Rebels play Lake Co. I think the Rebels may pull that one out.
  6. Greenfield beat Union City, tonight. The score was 48-31.
  7. #12 is a Senior, and she has been hurt for the first part of the year. She has come back, here lately, and she is a big help to the Lady Jackets team. 3 big wins for the Lady Jackets....Gleason, Union City, and Gibson Co.
  8. Greenfield beat Gibson Co. tonight...at Gibson Co.
  9. From what I hear, Greenfield blew a 14 point lead after our best player(Peoples) fouled out. And, it was at Greenfield.
  10. What happened tonight at the UC vs. Greenfield game? I've been out of town, and working... couldn't go to the game. Anyone know?
  11. It's about fairness. If Union City was playing in 3A, and going against schools twice their size, and playing against teams where maybe only 1 or 2 boys played both ways....I mean, they had an offensive team and defensive team...and, never had a chance to win the district...then, I'd bet we'd be hearing from UC fans about unfair it was. I mean, when a team can pick from twice as many boys to be on the basketball team, and the football team, then it just creates an unfair advantage. It just does. If a school is playing other schools that are near to the same size and still get beat all the time, then so be it. They just need to work harder, and get better. But, whenever a team is facing schools twice their size on a regular basis, then...I'm sorry....but, something just doesn't seem fair about that. But, that's how it is in the TSSAA, so small schools like Bradford, Gleason, Greenfield, S. Fulton, Lake Co., and others just have to make the best of it.
  12. UC Alum, Sorry, didn't mean to hit a nerve. I had just been hearing that UC really didn't want to play 1A. They consistently have really good football and basketball teams. They're playing small schools that have enrollments of 200 to 250 while they have what? 360 to 370, or something like that? But hey, if UC wants to play 1A, legally they can....so, go for it.
  13. I just keep hearing that UC really doesn't want to play 1A....that they would like to play up.... but, from what I understand, a school can choose to play up, if they really want to. Right?
  14. From what I hear...from people who know basketball....is that Greenfield has the chance of being very good this year, but right now they're not playing good....for whatever reason. The Lady Jackets do have a lot of seniors on the team, and they're good....IF they'll play together as a team. The Boro could be in the future of the Lady Jackets, IF they'll really get after it. But, from what I'm hearing....they're just not playing that good, at the moment. Gibson Co. and Greenfield are the teams to beat, this year, in my opinion. After that, I'm not really sure who to pick for 3rd and down.
