  1. Obviously, you are an absolute moron and have no clue about what you are talking about. First of all, Coach Rawlings has been a coach for more than 5 years. Second, picking out players and giving your 'theories' as to why they are not playing well makes no sense to anyone. To pick out a few and blame them along with the coach is ridiculous. Besides, your conversation with 'a player' is not very reliable. Have you ever considered the fact that the season is only 5 games old? How about the fact that the three post players who logged the most minutes last year are not playing at all (Jackson-out for the year, Anderson-may be out for the year, Hollis-not playing this year due to injury, I think). That might have a little to do with things. Just something for you to chew on. Either way, you have no idea what you are talking about so, don't.
  2. I agree completely with ksgovols. I believe that you are obviously a disgruntled parent. If you are going to gripe about coaching when you lose, at least be consistent enough to applaud him when they win. You have no credibility whatsoever when you get on here and gripe like you are.
  3. Like always, your intelligence (or the lack thereof) is showing. Again, like always, you are flapping your gums about something you know nothing about. Quit embarassing yourself and the Waverly people, and maybe TTU as well.
  4. Kind of ironic isn't it? A couple of years ago there were two players, one from harpeth and another from Waverly that mysteriously ended up on the Cheatham Co roster. I believe the Waverly transfer was legal but the TSSAA ruled that the other transfer was not. Either way, right or wrong, the shoe seems to be on the other foot now. It all comes back around sooner or later. Move on.
  5. Our prayers go out to each of the families involved in this horrible accident, as well as the school and the basketball team.
  6. Definitely an injustice has been done to Coach Ray. He stayed in a tough situation when most other coaches would have understandably ran as fast as they could. Montgomery Central has made a mistake. Good luck to you, coach, in all future endeavors.
  7. Call me crazy, but I believe that any of those schools would love to have the success that Camden has had the last 6-7 years. Losing in the second round is obviously not the ultimate goal, but, many schools would love to make it to the playoffs, let alone lose in the second round.
  8. To all you conspiracy people out there, there are no secrets to divulge, I am sure. Yes, both sides may have a trick play or two up their sleeves if they were to need it. However, they have played each other once, swapped film twice, which means at the bare minimum they have five videos of each other, if not more. It is what it is. The team that plays the best will win. Most believe that will be Lewis Co, but who would expect anything different? I am sure both teams are ready to go and looking forward to the rematch. Good luck to both teams.
  9. Let's end this now and forever. Camden and Waverly, enough said. No excuses for either side about motivation. Both knew what was on the line. Tough, intense battle by both teams. Poor play/turnovers were a result of the play by both squads. Each team deserved to win, both can't. Camden play the plays when it needed to . Waverly didn't. This was one of the better football games you will ever get to see. And no, the officials did not cause anyone to lose or win. That's life. Get over it. Good luck to all 7-2A teams. Congratulations to Camden for winning the championship.
  10. they do have one win, 9-6 over Montgomery Central. Just a slight correction.
  11. It seems that Redneck Tiger and Tiger Pride 75 seem to be getting a little upset about my post. Don't I have the right to my opinion, too? 75, please read my post again. Focus on what you read. I said nothing negative at all about the players or coaching staff. I said that they were good players and that time will tell how good they will become. However, I think using the term 'great' is a little much. My first post was directed at 22 alone and his accusations about a coach. Redneck, you have no idea what coaching is all about. If you did, you would not be on here discussing his abilities that don't seem to 'impress' you very much. Playing, watching and coaching Junior League basketball does not make you a great analyst of coaching talent. Let it go. Just be a fan that is supportive of your teams. Put yourself in their shoes. Think before you speak. NWTF, there is no reason for me to give my opinions or to be critical of others' efforts as coaches and/or players. They are the ones who sacrifice day in and day out, playing and coaching their hearts out only to have armchair quarterbacks continue to be critical. I respect the before mentioned players and coach for their hardwork. I will not ever be critical of them. I do, however, appreciate how you and JP-tiger seem to support your school at all times, good and bad. That is what a real fan does. Also, you may embarass me in a 1 on 1 matchup. I think that I will have to pass on the offer.
  12. Again, I am embarassed to be responding to another idiot who pretends to be a fan. It is obvious that you know nothing about sports, in general. I can only hope that you actually graduate this year and begin to spend your time doing something worthwhile instead of embarassing yourself and your school with your ignorance. What do you know about basketball?? You probably can't even shoot a layup, can you!!?? You spout off on here about stuff that you know nothing about. I've got an idea, get yourself on an intramural team if you can and report back to us all about when your talents and intense knowledge of the game will be put on display. Who knows, we might be 'impressed' with your abilities. Let Coach Rawlings coach, the players play, and you go be a fan.
  13. Let me begin this reply by saying that I am quite disappointed in the fact that I am even honoring this post with a reply. With that said, the three players that have been mentioned are good players. How good still remains to be seen. When you refer to Vogel(Soph) you say that suggest that he shoots alot. Leonard(Jr) is deemed to 'a great guy with the ball'. Gilbert(Jr) is crowned as the annointed one, right next to Michael Jordan and Wilt Chamberlin. Move over LeBron, Gilbert is the real king!!! I hope and pray that you are not the father of one of these players (especially Gilbert's) because I am embarassed for your child. Do him a favor and excuse yourself from these sites. However, if you are not his father, I can deal with your opinion on his talent. Now, in dealing with the unrest in the stands, I can only hope that you are referring to some former college coach who has a son on the team and knows what he/she is talking about. It is obvious that you don't. You also seem to ramble quite a bit so I am not sure why you try and give him a compliment only to go and blast him in the next breath. You refer to the 'rumor' about his scoring records. Trust me when I say that his scoring records will not be broken by anyone on this team. There might be a chance that someone could break the record for most 3s in a game. However, the other ones are safe. I believe that Coach Rawlings would love to see that happen because that might mean his team is shooting well that night. And by the way, Don Meyer(one of the all-time winningest basketball coaches in the history of the game) never recruited 'above average players'. To say that is a complete joke!!! (Back to the topic)To say that a coach, any coach, would take a player out of a game to keep his own personal record safe is ludicrous. I am quite sure that most coaches would rather win the game than sit down after being beaten by 30 and say to himself "Yeah, that thirty point beatdown hurts, but at least the scoring records are still mine." Give me a break!! If you are really a fan squash that rumor at the next game. Or, be a real man instead of a gutless wonder and go ask the coach yourself about the scoring records, and then stop the uneducated idiots who are spreading the rumor from doing further damage to this team. They are the ones you are hurting by writing this crap. Finally, the comment about the 'Big Ego' has me puzzled. Not sure where you were going with that one unless it was having to do with the scoring records again. I don't believe that ego has anything to do with anything here. You obviously have a problem with this coach. Try be a stand up guy for once and approach him about it and quit crying on the internet like a little baby.
  14. Your opinion is an uninformed one. Why don't you catch up to the coach and ask him yourself why they were let go. I am sure there is a great deal more going on here than any of us know. So, Redneck, find out what is going on and report back to us with facts.
