I have been busy I was hoping to get some things done Friday to go watch the Vols play today in Nashville but that ain't going to happen so I will have to watch them on the duece. I will say that Grundy ran almost the same paly all night because that is all they had to run the Indians were terrible I say no more Thursday night games for Sequatchie after seeing that I think Grundy has a real good shot at winning there Region again this year! Now for the Indians they were no where near the same team thats played the past few weeks but if the Score is correct the they can forget about Thursday like it never happend because the Region games start this week and both them and Meigs Co. come in 0-1 on the year this weeks game means more than last weeks as it is a Region game and yes I did have Sequatchie ranked 10th in my poll of 15 in the Chattanooga area because I think few would disagree if they saw the INdians this preseason in scrimmages and just last week in the Jamboree that the team that was on the field Thursday was not the same team that played in the preseason but I am betting Win or lose that they show up with more fire and intensity at Meigs Co. this coming week!

I just Checked 2 TV Station websites in Chatt. and the Online Chattanoogan.com and all three have Hixson the Winner!

Thats the score Channel 3 in Chattanooga has on there website have not found a score anywhere else!

I think one thing about flying the "Confederate Flag" instead of the Tennessee State Flag is because it is hard or at least it was for me to find a TN State Flag! I proud my self of being a Tennessean 1st, Southerner 2nd, and American 3rd! I found it strange and sad:) during HS to hear fellow students say I can't wait to get out of this town and couldn't think of living any where else but my town and in the Great State of Tennessee!

just1np, I mentioned the same thing in my first post I think Sequatchie County is the "Indians" Marion Co. & Bledsoe Co. is both the "Warriors" And we are all in the Sequatchie Valley which is a Indian name will they make us change the name of the County and Valley in which we live? :confused:

Swamp & wrestler87, Why would you put Georgia teams on a poll for Tennessee HS Football? :confused: If you would look at a list of the Regions you would see the reason why Sequatchie Co., South Pittsburg, Grundy Co. & Tellico, etc.... is on a Chattanooga poll is because they are in the Chattanooga Region area. Sequatchie Co. borders Hamilton Co.(Chattanooga) if you look at a map! Tyner is in Sequatchie's Region as well as Polk Co. & Tellico! Grundy Co. is in a Region with Walker Valley(Cleveland), Howard, McMinn Central & Sequoyah! South Pittsburg & Whitwell is in a Region with Boyd-Buchanan & Lookout Valley from Chattanooga and Copper Basin in Polk Co.! [Edited by Sequatchie on 8-28-02 10:13P]

Very good TN was the last to succeed and the first to rejoin the union but the fact is they still were a Confederate State and the Confederacy was reconised by almost every Nation as its on Country with the exception of the Union so yes the South was invaded!

Boorelly, Maybe you shoud go back and read the the first page of the thread the "Rebel Flag" that most people fly is not the "Stars and Bars" I think that is a lot of the problem with the issue people do not check the history of the flags of the Confederacy. I don't think the War of Northern Aggression (Civil War) for you non Southeners is taught in schools the way it should be I would bet there is some on this board from this state who could not name the more notable battles that happened in Tennessee (second only to Virginia in most battles fought) or what did Gen. The Battle Flag that most people fly is not really the battle flag but Naval Jack! How ever it was carried by the Army of Tennessee and I think Forrest's Calvary although he did not have the center star! Here is a pic of the real Battle Flag flew mostly by Gen. I don't have a say in this as for as a school flag but I fly the Battle Flag personaly and I am not a racist. A lot of people call the Rebel Flag the "Stars and Bars" but that is wrong the stars and bars flag is the CSA 1st National Flag because in battle it looked like the US "Stars and Strips" Here is aPic of the "Stars and Bars" the 1st National Flag of the Confederacy. I think if this is true than someone should be set straight that this flag like it or hate it is a part of American History and is a part of our culture & Heritage of the South. This is similar to my own HS Sequatchie County we are the "Indians" and around the country people is pushing for the ban of such nicknames and I have been waiting til someone comes to tell SCHS to change its name and mascot. If someone tries will they also want us to change the name of our county? the Valley? in which we Marion Co. & Bledsoe Co. both "Warriors" are located in the Sequatchie Valley.
