  1. Complete Scores unknown on most if it was JV or Varsity action. Quarter 1 Sequatchie Co. - 14 Bledsoe County - 07 Quarter 2 Bledsoe County - 14 Grundy County - 00 Quarter 3 Rhea County - 06 Grundy County - 00 Quarter 4 Rhea County - 07 Warren County - 00 Quarter 5 Sequatchie County - 28 Warren County - 00
  2. This was the JV that played for Sequatchie in the opening Quarter vs. Bledsoe. Not sure if it was JV or Varsity for Bledsoe. Sequatchie Varsity vs. Warren Co. in the 5th not sure if it was the Varsity for Warren but according to their own Facebook & Twitter pages the Pioneers only traveled with their varsity squad for the Jamboree.
  3. Roy, Hopefully it goes just like that Middle School game last. That was a lot of fun.
  4. Hope everyone has a fun and safe time tonight.
  5. The players all seem to love him. Now does that transfer to wins, that's yet to be determined.
  6. The last Jamboree held in 2019 at Grundy Co. was disaster with parking you had people parking (around the HWY 56/108 intersection) nearly a mile from the stadium. Now from what I was told when it became knowledge that SCHS was installing turf several administrators/ADs at other valley schools agreed that they didn't want what happened at Grundy happening again. Most saw that it would happen again at Whitwell when during the last time they hosted the Jamboree you had vehicles lined up on both sides of HWY28 that's not safe at all. It was my understanding that one or two schools didn't really want to host the Jamboree at all. I could be wrong but it was my understanding that all schools with the exception of Whitwell voted to have it at SCHS. Now after the vote I don't think anyone expected Jasper & SP to jump to the Chattanooga Jamboree. Once again it's my understanding that Whitwell was invited to come to Dunlap for the Jamboree but chose not to be a part of it. We welcome Grundy Co. & Bledsoe Co. schools and fans as they continue to be a part of it. We also welcome Rhea Co. & Warren Co. to be a part of this continuing Valley tradition.
  7. Looking forward to the Pioneers and their fans coming over to Dunlap for the Jamboree.
  8. Turf started goi g down this afternoon.
  9. If Sequatchie doesn't have the injury bug hit them like last year with this years schedule and new Region. I think (6-4), (7-3) should be attainable along with at least the #2 spot in the Region and a home playoff game. IMO
  10. This thread was hopping during the coaching search but since nothing! We have been to I think (4) 7 on 7 events and from what I've been told looked pretty good. Another Stadium Update. New LED lighting fixtures and new fencing were installed today.
  11. Looks like the turf will be going down any day now!
  12. Field Update from yesterday evening. It looks like the initial dirt work is wrapping up and they have moved on to putting in drainage at the track & practice field. The new LED lighting fixtures have also been delivered. They've also removed the backstop at the softball field.
  13. Haven't talked to him but a few who has said he's a country guy and should fit into the community. Says he's excited to get a chance.
  14. You can finally mark Sequatchie Co. off the list. The Indians have hired Rusty McIntyre the OC from Fayetteville.
  15. Sequatchie County would like to welcome Rusty McIntyre as the new Head Football Coach at Sequatchie County. Coach McIntyre comes to SCHS from Fayetteville HS where he served as the Offensive Coordinator for the Tigers.

  17. Sequatchie Field Update: The rain the week before last put them a little behind schedule. If they could get another three or four days of dry weather next week that would help. The posts for the new fencing was installed this week.
  18. According to the reports when he resigned like Davis at McMinn Central he took a job as an assistant at Rhea County. Rhea Co. must be paying out big bucks for assistant coaches.
  19. That isn't what you said, you said "It seems the powers to be don’t want football to succeed by the delay in the hiring." If they didn't care about football succeeding do you think they would be spending the kinda of money they are on not just the turf but replacing the lights and teaming with the QB Club in completely updating & renovating the original part of the locker room/field house that's around 30 years old this year I think. "The superintendent won’t sit down with some concerned alumni so he clearly doesn’t have a pair." Have you voiced your concerns to the QB Club or attended one of their meetings lately and help get involved with the program? It’s an absolute joke that it is the 2nd week of June and we don’t have a coach. We need a Squatch Man, not some outsider. The position has only been open two and half weeks. I want the new coach in as well so at least the kids get comfortable with him before the "Dead Period" but man calm down. I think we'll hear something in the next 48 to 72 hours. Just what "Squatch" man do you want? I'm not aware of anyone who is coaching that has paid his dues to be a HC at this time (except maybe one) or has head coaching experience which is something that the administration is preferring.
