Heritage will struggle this year to say the very least. Their bench is only 4 deep and very inexperienced. They need to focus on one game at a time and just work on improving from one game to the next. I think that Houston County and McEwen will control the district and I expect for Nashville Christian and East Robertson to make a little noise, after that I think it depends on who works the hardest, plays as a team, and who improves as the season goes on. are you talking about last night's game between Heritage and HC being 5 against 8?

I agree that Heritage was lucky to win against NC. They had a very off shooting night and their point gaurd was benched with 4 fouls early in the fourth quarter. They played down that game, but they did beat them easily 2 other times. I also agree that Mcewen will probably be district champs. However, if Houston County could beat them, I guess there is chance Heritage could too. Go Patriots!!!

Well, well, well.... Heritage beat Houston County tonight in the district semi-finals and will face Mcewen tomorrow night in the championship game. I have read on here all season that Houston County and Mcewen were clearly the best teams in the district, but it seems that Heritage thought otherwise. Heritage beat Houston County 2 out of 3 times this season and I feel like that speaks for itself. I wish the Lady Patriots luck against Mcewen, and they better bring their A game if they want to keep it close. I do not mean this disrespectfully, but how did Houston County beat Mcewen? Houston County is a good team but we beat them twice and we havent been able to come within 25 pts of Mcewen. Did Mcewen have a bad game against HC? Did HC play the game their lives? Did HC just have bad games against Heritage? What is the secret?

The MVP will come from Mcewen. They will go undefeated in the district and they deserve the honor. I think it will be Hobson. She does alot for her team and I feel like she deserves it. Baggett has put up some good numbers, but I feel like that will be overlooked.

Heritage did beat East Robertson, but geez was it a sloppy game. Both teams had several turnovers and missed several freethrows. The rematch should be interesting as there is a huge rivalry between the two teams. I think that Heritage has more talent than East, but you never know what is gonna happen when these two teams play. Friday night is another important game for the Lady Patriots. In order to stay in the running for second they HAVE to win this game. Last game with NC was close with Heritage only winning by 7. Should be interesting! I can't wait until Heritage and Houston Co. finally square off. That is a game I do not want to miss. By the way New Blue I heard that Merrol Hyde beat Jo Byrns from someone that was at that game.

I am pretty sure that if there is not a contract signed by both schools that it can be cancelled by either school. If there is a contract signed then it is the home team's decision. However I would hope that most coaches and schools would come to an agreement based on the safety of the athletes.

I think we see that no one but McEwen is a contender to win District 10a based on this past weeks scores. Didn't McEwen blow out Houston County too?

Oh good grief!! The McEwen v. Heritage game was a hard game to watch. Heritage played them a tight first half, with us going into the lockeroom only down by 7. The second half Heritage decided not to shoot, catch the ball, play defense, get back on defense, box out or care. Don't know what happened, but they just didn't do what they needed to do in the 2nd half. The hardest thing to watch was that it just seemed like they were playing with no heart. The Coach cleared the bench early in the fourth. I think he was equally as tired of watching it. The girls need to take the upcoming break to re-focus and get back on track. They need to put this game behind them. Should be interesting to see what happens between Heritage, Houston Co and East.

I think tonight will decide if McEwen is gonna have an easy road to being 10A district champs again. I think that Heritage gave them the closest games last year, but still couldn't find a way to beat them. Heritage has been really improving every game, but they will need play their best tonight to even keep it close. I would like to see a win tonight for the Lady Patriots, but I am thinking that McEwen is gonna come out on top. Anything is possible though. I guess before tonight's games the standings would be 1. McEwen 2. Wh-Heritage 3. Houston County 4. East Robertson 5. Nashville Christian 6. Merrol Hyde 7. Jo Byrns A loss tonight for Heritage would mean a tie with Houston County. Still ALOT of basketball left to play with a majority of the teams in this district being pretty equal. So time will tell. Good luck tonight Heritage!!

I think that Houston County is a bit over-rated this year. I do not think that it will be a close game between them and McEwen, and I look for Heritage or East or maybe even Clarksville Academy to beat them this year. I think that McEwen is definitly the front runner in a pretty weak district. My predictions for the week are McEwen over Houston County by 12 and Heritage over Merrol Hyde by 15. I dont know who else in the district is playing Tuesday.

Eric Rowland is the new coach. He was the girls coach at Springfield. I don't know much about him though.

I think that McEwen will be on top yet again despite losing their top scorer Andrea Hobson. My picks are: 1. McEwen 2. Wh Heritage 3. Houston County 4. Nashville Christian 5. East Robertson 6. Clarksville Academy 7. Jo Byrns 8. Merrol Hyde (they are supposed to be in this district this.) I think McEwen, WhHeritage, and Houston County will be the front runners of the district. Houston County returns the most players and Heritage and Mcewen lost their leading scorers. These 3 teams will battle it out for the top spot. This should be an interesting season!!

Congrats to a well coached, young White House Heritage team. Not only have you guys made history this year by advancing in the region, but you have surpassed what many thought was impossible for you.
