West Rebels will be good this year but won't make the playoffs. The Z Plan has sealed their fate. Loses to Maryville, Farragut, Bearden and Catholic are just too much to overcome for a playoff spot. The Wm Blount and Sullivan South games might be a split at best. So, a good team but no post season.

Sorry, you've got me mixed up with someone that can put in a good word for you. Maybe just go up there and see if you can fill out an application. I did wonder how you have time to post all day every day. Good luck finding something.

Wrong. All she ever does is get frustrated and start name calling. Besides, she will be outta here after the 1st week of playoffs.

I can understand why you are subordinate to DB. But, after they beat up on all of you there in upper ET the playoffs or region action begin. DB always loses out and their coaches use passes while the players & fans buy tickets to see the better teams play for championships. Championships are actually important to most teams in the state. DB's last team championship of any kind was 14 years ago. Golf and Tennis have carried the school. There has never been a football champion. Has there ever been a baseball or basketball champion from this premier institution? Why, even a blind squirrel .... Science Hill is the premier sports school in your area. I see them at the Spring Fling in large numbers every year. Most people have to ask what school is that when they see the occasional DB uniform. DB is not well represented and not premier in our lifetime.

You don't actually remember them winning any state championship, do you? You just see old plaques at the school? At best you look up past results on a web site? You would have to be in your early 20's to have actually been there. And that would just be golf, tennis, etc. I have no idea how old you'd have to be to have seen them win @ baseball or basketball. There are no football championships or at least no game scores I could find. btw, where would those scores be posted?

"not just football" is an understatement. I had no idea it was that weak up there. Congrats to the Cross Country, Tennis & Golf teams. They've carried the water for old DB the past 40 years! Not much else to write about. 3 Boys Track in the 70's the last one 30 years ago. 1 Girls Track 14 years ago and the same year the Girls brought home a Soccer championship. But, did you notice none in Baseball and no Basketball and no Football? Not Premier. Sorry.

Thats where I fail. I can't remember to go far enough back to see where DB was good. The football program has lost more home 1st round playoff games this century than any team. (the opponent was another regions struggling 4th place seed that lost the next game in the 2nd round). Thats not so premier. They have participated in the playoffs for 40+ years and have never made it to the championship game. Nothing premier there. As for the non-football sports all I see around here from upper ET during region time is Science Hill. Take a look at www.tssaa.org and see how long its been since DB could have even been considered competitive.

Premier tradition. Premier facitity. Some of the best fan support anywhere. But, don't you think they should at least win something before you crown them premier sport program in the state?

WOW And yes DB would be the 4th best in the county. Wm Blount beats DB home or away. Last 5 games DB is 2-3 v Wm Blount.

You have to know I hate bringing this up but "The Winningest Team in Tennessee" would most years be the 4th best team, at best, in Blount county. Is upper ET really that weak?

Well at least Maryville fans aren't walking around with bags over their heads. Being a DB fan and trying to pick on Maryville is a little hard to understand.
