hey rsquared i have a favor. By any chance do you have an up to date schedule for Anderson County softball? I need to know if they play any games this week. I looked online and there wasnt one scheduled for this week. thanks in advance

I find it quite funny that EVERYONE thinks that Oakdale is going to win it all this year. If I'm not mistaking they didnt beat Oliver Springs last year so what makes you think they are going to this year? Grant it I know I know new season new year blah blah..but still Kim Hall has picked up speed along with movement on her pitches. I've played with her and against her for a few years now. Hall maybe young but has the talent and experience. Oliver Springs maybe young but have the talent and ability to sweep the district again. Oakdale has a very good team and a big thing that oakdale has is team bonding. everyone on that team plays as a team which is a big thing in high school ball. i have nothing against oakdale I know alot of the girls but they arent that strong throughout the line up. As for the Lady Toppers or whatever saw them play this past summer in some of the tournaments I myelf played in. They were not impressive at ALL! Grant it it was a group of high school girls going and playing in travel ball tournaments but still if your going to play at least be able to compete. My pick is OZ wins district and district tournament. The girls from OZ have a lot of ground to pick up from last year during the regional game. Good luck to Coach Headden and the girls at OZ...Seniors lead the way do well...kim and Memo knock'em dead pitching!!!

Its a very big district week....i wish all teams the best of luck...this could determine somethings...but nothing will determine things like Tourny time will...

I wasnt tring to start anything with that post...I wasnt counting her out you may see it that way but I wasnt. I was meaning it as in her getting heathly and not getting hurt again or reinjuring her injuries. I didnt know being nice was so bad.As for me not being able to stand it it doesnt bother me and why bring up the fact of playing rec. ball and knoxville ball? It doesnt matter that was back when we were all little. If you want to know the truth I had the chance to play on the same team as Jess but I didnt take it and I dont regret it I was 10 years old and scared to death of new things a normal thing for a kid. I've grown out of it now. That makes no sense bringing that up.There is "some" talent around here not much because most girls around here dont focus on playing travel ball or even care enough. I'm not putting anyone down theres a lot up to grab for us this year. I guess some people take things wrong and assume I'm always putting people down. Oh well cant go on in life worrying about others now can we. I know the 9 players that are put on the field are the 9 that our coach thinks is best and he knows whats best for the team. Its showed in the practices...So I guess I should say I'm sorry but for what I'm not sure....

I've seen better I've seen worse...but than again this is high school ball...oakdale,coalfield, and oliver springs top 3 teams now in which order they fall guess we will see

Yes Kim Hall is one of OS's pitchers with returning pitcher Jennifer Rather and possibly Megan Morgan if she can get healthly again. Kim I think is throwing her best right now I've seen her play a lot but right now she is doing good. We will just have to see how the season turns out...I think there is going to be some "eye opening sights" this year

I agree I think the coalfield/OS game will determine alot....I will give coalfield credit they had a decent team but OS beat them last year yes I know new year new faces etc etc but not many people are realizing that OS has dropped in softball and are probably more than likely unestimating them.

Trust me I know how this team plays some of them play on my travel team 3 of them I think and I know the ones your talking about. I'm not too worried about this game. It will be fun for me so..

Oakdale I dont see us having a problem with...Wartburg I dont either but than again this is Single A and there is no telling what could happen when tournament time gets here...I've finally recovered from everything i think I still have swelling at times but they dont seem to be bothering me any right now...all the stitches are out and I've been practicing hard. We are scrimmaging South Doyle tuesday at our place

Yeah know Yeah i do think we have a chance to bring it home. We have all the right ingredients now we just have to mix them together and start the season. Whats your opinion? Some people just dont realize the talent and will underestimate us...guess we will find out how we are looking tuesday night at the scrimmage

Coalfield is probably the returning strong team for their district but you have to take into consideration that Oliver Springs dropped down into their district this year...hmm...could be interesting...

Does anyone from Scott county play travel ball by any chance?

Wow the question of how will scott county be? Hmm I think a better question is will they win a game this year? Scott County has a group of girls that tries hard but they just do not grasp the concept of softball. Scott County is just not a softball type of high school. Maybe one day they will find a coach that is dedicated to helping the girls and showing them the "RIGHT" way to do things, but then again that isnt going to turn a program around. You've also got to have girls that know what they are doing on the field. Its going to take more than just a coach to turn around this program sorry to say that but its the truth.
