  1. Congrats to Trousdale County on a hard fought battle.
  2. MHS82 appreciate the kind words and I second everything you said. Next years game will be awesome and should be verrrrryyy interesting. APB the DII boys have beat me up on the MUS vs MBA thread. Check it out....
  3. owlbooster I was responding to rollredrolls post. I actually like most of his post on here. Just didn't agree with him on that one. So I responded to his post with a reply. These boards are about debate and opinions on football. That's all I did on my post. You have made negative post against Alcoa in other threads. You want to come on here and talk about ALCOA FANS. Then you better look in the mirror. Alcoa has great fans and we have great respect for our opponents. Hence the sportsmanship award this year that are team received. Also I have great respect for the DII schools. They have 2-4 of the top tens teams in the state every year. They are well coached and have very good athletes. Most all of the fans I have met are class too. Of course we all have a fan or two that just seems unbearable. As far as saying Alcoa is the best team in the state. I really don't know but I do know this. We were the only public school to go undefeated. We have a 29 game winning streak(longest in the state). We have 6 straight state championships(most ever in a row). We have 11 total state titles. That's tied for most with our brothers in Maryville. We are 84-6 over the last 6 years and are 6 loses were to 5 state champions(fulton and maryville) and one runner up(maryville 08). These are FACTS not opinions!!! This is why I'm responding to you and all the other posters that think MUS would beat Alcoa by 2 or 3 td's. Then to say that MBA would beat us this year. Of course this is just my opinion. GOOD DAY.
  4. First of all I'm not the AD or coach Rankin. I know the AD real well and play golf with him just about every Sunday. So I would know what's going on with Alcoa schedule. So your either a liar or the coach for FRA is. As for people coming on here and talking about these IMAGINARY games that Alcoa would lose. I say step up if your going to make these accusations. WE HAVE ALWAYS HELD OUR OWN WITH THE DII SCHOOLS. Also the person that told us to move up. Well Alcoa played 2a ball for 26 years when they should have been in 1a the whole time. From 1982 to 2005 Alcoa had any where from 382 students to 434 during this time. We won 3 state championships playing up. Matter of fact Alcoa beat BRENTWOOD ACADEMY in 1989 when we should have been 1a. Everybody remembers the dominance of BA back in the 80's. So we did play up you idiot BUT you know nothing about ALCOA FOOTBALL. Also right now we are the 3rd smallest 3a school. I was just wanting some of the IMAGINARY GAMES TO HAPPEN. Just remember Alcoa has the longest winning streak in the state and we have 6 straight state titles and were not done yet. GCPioneer, didn't you think Gibson County was going to make the playoffs? = WINLESS SEASON
  5. A squirrel finds a acorn every once in a while. Alcoa or Maryville has as many championships as MUS AND White Station combined.
  6. rollredroll I believe you missed my point and you don't understand how hard it is to fill our schedule. If South Pittsburg wanted to play Alcoa this year it would have happened. As far as the toots on the 3a-4a thread. I agree but we all have them. Even your DII brethren. I was just asking you guys to schedule Alcoa in 2011 and 2012. Just thought more people would want to see the match-up between any of these schools.
  7. Congrats to White Station on a great game. I personally didn't think White Station was going to win this game. Maryville just could not stop Burton and the quarterback. Missed tackles (probable at least 7 to 10) doomed the Rebels in the first and second half. Also, Juhlin just couldn't get into any kind of flow in the first half. Congrats to Maryville on a great season and get ready for next year.
  8. I believe your the one with no logical sense.
  9. Was I arrogant on my post??? TYPICAL ALCOA FAN..... Claims of superiority..... Which poster has claimed superiority??..... As for the phone Alcoa never tried to schedule FRA. Rankin does not make the schedule. Alcoa's athletic director calls ALL of the schools for scheduling. Does Rankin have any input? YESSSSS!!! Also Alcoa played McCallie in 06 and 07 with 2 wins. In 07 McCallie lost in the championship game by 7 that year to BA. Wouldn't you say Alcoa could play with any DII team that year??? The next year McCallie DID NOT WANT TO RENEW THE CONTRACT WITH ALCOA. Rankin would have renewed this game if McCallie wanted to. I believe the last DII team that we played since then would have been BA in 88 and 89. Of course they were in 2a at the time. BA won in 88 and Alcoa in 89. It looks like Alcoa would do excellent in the DII league. Of course in these imaginary games we usually lose them.. What about a bowl game with 4 teams in Nashville???
  10. Pretty good come back but you don't lose (respect) as much if you get beat by one of those teams. If you lose to Alcoa then its just that little 3a school that beat you. GET IT!!
  11. Unbelievable that you would come on here and dog your on teams player after a championship game win. To tell you the truth I know of at least 1 quarterback that he was better than. Also like one poster said earlier the play calling was really bad. Throw some screens and try to hit T-Rod down the middle of the field instead of the out pattern. These things would have helped our quarterback out a lot. Also your in dream land if you think a freshman would even be looked at before our back-up quarterback Hogan Goodson. WAKE UP!!!
  12. What's really funny rollredroll is we will never know? Maybe MUS would beat Alcoa but that just opinions at this point. As for the 177 total yards of offensive. Alcoa was pretty vanilla and only threw the ball one time but if the other team doesn't score you can't lose (bottom line). I would put Alcoa's defense up against any in the state. I do know how we could settle this debate in future years. MBA,MUS,BA OR ENSWORTH schedule the Tornadoes in 2011 and 2012. We will need 2 teams to play in those years and would love the challenge. That way we won't be on the computer all night thinking of the match-ups. However I don't believe any of these teams would schedule the F5.
  13. Sorry Tornado74 but this Alcoa team would beat the 06 team. At least that's my personal opinion. Now the 89 team was better.
  14. I can't disagree with any thing that you said Footballdad. It just the only pass we had all night Robinson was wide open 20 yards down the field and he just couldn't haul it in. Why not try to go back to that??? They didn't have anyone to match up with him. I would have tried to take advantage of that and that would have loosened up there defense. Which in turn would have made it easier to run. I
  15. So you think MBA or Christian Brothers is as good as Alcoa. That's about the difference of score between these two team and MUS. I really find that hard to believe but your entitled to your opinion. Also these high school polls don't really prove much to me. It great to have nationally attention but what does it really prove when you have 2 undefeated team?? Having said that why don't you come back to Blount County to see the annual game of champions?? We would love to have you back.
