The school I pull for, Hampton, was moved from A to AA this year however if we could only count boys we would be below Chattanooga prep numbers. Heck I'm sure there's lots of schools that would be in single a if they could only count the boy population. It's just not a level playing field. Period.

A simple solution would be to double Chattanooga Prep's #'s since no females go to that school which would push them into AA.

First off congrats to the lady Landers for qualifying for another state tournament appearance. If I'm not mistaken this is pretty much the same Pickett County team that Hampton played last year in the quarters which Hampton defeated 78 to 64 but I believe Pickett was mostly juniors then. I thought last year after that game that Pickett County would be back and be one of the favorites due to the experience gained playing in the glass house. King, just remember they have to lace their shoes up just like you all. As long as the lady Landers give 100% hustle every second on the floor, value the basketball with limited turnovers, and stay out of foul trouble, that is all one could ask and regardless of the outcome you'll leave the floor as winners. If you do it like football, there would not be a district tournament. Football begins with region play when the playoffs begin. I also like this idea because the regular season would mean something. The way you finished in your conference play would determine how the region would be seeded. Again this will not happen ever because not enough money for the TSSAA

Good point. This is the way baseball is currently set up. Why not basketball? Or another way of looking at this is if the TSSAA is all about money then why not have the top four districts in baseball go to the region? Personally I'm for basketball just sending top two district teams to the region though.

Also I'd say it will be a couple days before ole Pujo comes off of that mountain high of the Chiefs winning the Super Bowl

On any given night as they say.....I just found out that Tony Lambert is the defensive coordinator for Anderson Co. I'd say Elizabethton will have a time trying to score more than 21 against his defense. Hampton always had tough sledding against his D.
