They announced all-state selections for both divisions at the half time of their respective championship games.

I hate to be negative, but I don't think Father Ryan will be moving up anytime in the near future. The senior class this year has really carried the program and it will be hard to replace them. I honestly think that we will probably fall to mediocre ranks of DII, but hope within five years or so, once the middle school programs get going good, the team can get back into competition in DI. Also, I'd like to add that Brentwood played a great game on Sunday, they deserved the win.

D2 playoff games this weekend will be: Father Ryan vs Saint George Centennial vs Webb Knoxville These games are at 12 followed by a game played between the winners at 4 for the final spot in the semifinals.

Well we played Franklin after we played Brentwood, so if I'm not mistaken its possible that they had a worse game after playing Brentwood, right? Right

I don't know where you Franklin players get off thinking you are all high and mighty just because you're in D1 now. I give you a lot of credit y'all are a good team, but the score of the game last night didn't reflect our ability. We were coming on strong in the beginning of the 4th quarter and if we didn't have a complete defensive breakdown, the score would've been quite different. I don't play defense, but I would say that last night was the worst our defense has played this year.

Overall we played probably our worst game of the season. The defense wasn't holding well and the offense was not great either, although we did have over 40 shots. Hopefully there will be a rematch of this game in the state championship. I give credit to Brentwood, they played a really good game, but I think that game could go either way on any given day.

Actually, there are four criteria for being in Division 1. Not sure what they all are off the top of my head, but the reason we moved down is because we only legitimately met 2 of them. However, I do know that Brentwood meets all of them and probably should be a Division 1 team. With that said there are also a handful of teams in Division 1 that should move down. Additionally, after this year Father Ryan definitely will need to be in Division 2 as we graduate nearly all of the varsity. There will only be about 6 returning varsity players who will have gotten minimal playing time this year. You shouldn't move up to better competition if you are not beating a majority of the teams you are currently playing with. And I can say from personal experience it's not fun playing in Division 1 when you get pummeled by half the teams you play, thats why we moved down. Last year we didn't even have a .500 record and we made the playoffs, I think that shows the lopsidedness of competition in Division 1.

My name is Daniel Lorance, I play attack for Father Ryan High School in Nashville. I am interested in playing for UT next year. I do not have any games that you could make it to in the next two weeks; however, we do play Webb Knoxville at Webb Knoxville on Friday, April 4th. The game will be at 6 PM EST. I wear #12 and I hope to see you guys out there if possible. I have another friend on the team who is also going to UT next year, that may be interested.

It's hard to say, it was a pretty sloppy game. MBA isn't near as sharp as last year, i think they're pretty young this year. Franklin is still decent , but don't have the size they did before. I think the weather had a bad effect on both teams, as it was raining most of them game, then turned so sleet.

I was there, I left with about 7 minutes to play and MBA was up 12-5, so i assume they pulled it off
