Indy had a problem last year with at least one of those SEC commits I think. I hope those guys get it in check over there. Doesn't take much to lose a coache's interest.

I got to give this game to Siegel by at least two scores. I don't think the Toppers know what they are in for. Kreager picked SH in the paper by a close score. I'd say Siegel's field house was wallpapered with that prediction before most of you got up for breakfast today.

sophomoric...
ps, you wife is pretty upset that you are using her photo as your profile picture.
Speak, boy...speak...

Regardless of what the expected outcome is, come out to Blackman tomorrow night and witness the first of many meetings between the Blaze and the RedHawks!
-
You have convinced yourself that he is alone is responsible for the football team
Who else is responsible?
I think I get what you guys are trying to say about part of the problem being zoning or because you like Coach A or whatever but the buck stops with the head coach. There is no one else to blame things on.
Sure programs have ups and downs, but it is obvious that Riverdale will never reach the status of old unless something major changes with the leadership of the football program.
That's the bottom line.

Wait!! Mt. Juliet calls a time out with 0:36 left in the game. This could get interesting!!!

I said it before....

Blackman by at least three scores!

Interesting visual of the wins separated by coaching changes.
1. Watts to Fisher
2. Fisher to Rankin
3. Rankin to Aydelott
BHS opened in 2000
SHS opened in 2003
Where was the talent in '87, '88, '89?

Blackman is very good. Their QB is a great athlete and they have a lot of other weapons.
Turnovers and special teams will be big. I see MJ keeping this close and making big play at end to win.
-
I am a Riverdale alumni with kids at Blackman. Trust me, I was pulling for Blackman all the way but I was embarrassed last night! Even the band seemed defeated. Something has got to give over there!
-
I think Blackman wins by two touchdowns and Riverdale tries not to end up 0-4 against a tough East Hamilton team.

John Heath = Great Coach
Bray = Great Coach

Let's play fill in the blank. I'll go first.

What part of you don't know what you're talking about do you not understand?
-
Sizzle. You clearly don't know all the facts about our program and our issues.
No cheating at Blackman. Period.
If you want to discuss with me, I'd be glad to.

It appears that when you hide behind a cloak of anonymity, you can throw all the stones and cheap shots you want.
The anonymous keyboard cops can rest assured that Blackman's program will be just fine.
Bray is a great coach and in this man's opinion, it can be argued that the dead period rule was not clearly spelled out in the TSSAA handbook. Go search the handbook for the word "Monday" and see what you get. Then search the word "Sunday".
Yes, he was guilty of breaking the rule. Cheating? No way.
As some have inferred, you all know very well that rule bending and rule breaking is happening all over this state because of the crazy restrictions placed on wrestling. I could help Sommers with his list if I chose to. But what I don't understand is the proactive folks who are calling the TSSAA and "ratting out" their competitors.
In this instance, anyone who was there would clearly tell you that Blackman did not get further ahead or receive an unfair advantage because Bray was there.
Some people evidently have never learned what to do with their sour grapes.

"I know Sells got him at state. The match was 3-2, and I hear Emory was throwing up all day."
This has been bothering me since I saw it posted. Now granted.... Sells is my kid so I am biased.... no doubt.
I will simply say, "I disagree."
There. Now I feel better.
and thanks werazzlin...he is flat coming on...

Clearly, the coaches meeting should include a reiteration of sportsmanship. If you are a coach, it starts with you.
-
I agree!! It was great to see region 4 get a solid win in the finals over region 3!
-
I thought the tournament overall was MUCH better than the event last year. The venue is the right size but still too dusty....(something can be done about that next year I am sure)
For the finals though, I think there should be three mats for the finals up front and center BUT wrestle the finals and consolation finals at the same times.

Wouldn't this thread be better suited in the "Middle School Wrestling" or "Club Wrestling" categories?
I don't think so. Not much HS wrestling talk nowadays...most of the guys that are being talked about are someone's freshman next year anyway.
-
.... these Top 100 tournaments are not the cream of the crop anyway. There are other more competitive tournaments in our state.....
Which annual tournaments are more competitive?
-
What so you think?
So far and from years past, I vote for Girls' Wrestling Moms
Is ravenwood the real deal this year?
