  1. Coaches are the first line of defense with sportsmanship. If players aren't led by example, not drilled on the importance of it and the privilege they have in being able to play, anything can happen. You have to be willing as a coach to address any team problem and any player no matter how important that player may be to your program. Great coaches head off potential problems in constructive ways and don't let them linger.
  2. Overton has been strong for a few years now and Antioch has some great talent. Cane Ridge seems like the biggest surprise to me this year.
  3. Thanks Willie! It seems this has become a secondary posting board with Eurosportscoreboard taking the principal role but still updating scores seems fragmented at best.
  4. What is going on with Tennessee HS? I see 2 game scores for them this season.
  5. What is going on with Tennessee HS? I see 2 game scores for them this season.
  6. CAK vs Hendersonville - 2-1. Great game and effort by both teams. Hendersonville controlled possession but had limited offensive opportunities as CAK defenders were always where they were supposed to be. CAK in the attacking third was beautiful swift, thought out, and clean. Only lack of possession by CAK and tremendous effort by the Hendersonville defense and keeper prevented more scoring.
  7. I have seen a number of scrimmages in the mid-state and most teams looked pretty rusty so far with the exception of Father Ryan. They looked real good in the attacking third.
  8. I heard Brentwood/Ravenwood tied 2-2 but no update on the final score.
  9. Fab 50 National Rankings as of May 12th. Hardin Valley - 6 McCallie School - 14 Science Hill - 21 Houston - 22 Christian Brothers - 23 Farragut - 34 MBA - 37 Oak Ridge - 45
  10. Tks PJM! I would love to have been at that game.
  11. Thanks PJM. Any word on Ravenwood/Antioch?
  12. Anyone know the results of region 6 AAA matches?
  13. Seems we don't have a good thread for playoff conversations. I keep bouncing around to find anything out. East, Mid, and West please put your playoff conversations here.
  14. Station Camp meets Hendersonville for the 9AAA final tonight at 7pm at Hendersonville's Field of Dreams.
  15. Fab 50 National Rankings as of May 5 Hardin Valley Academy - 10 McCallie School - 18 Farragut - 22 Science Hill - 26 Houston - 27 Christian Brothers - 28 MBA - 42 BGA - 43
  16. Don't overlook Ravenwood. Limited schedule against top talent and they have usually come out on top!
  17. FAB 50 National Rankings for this week: Hardin Valley - 11 McCallie - 20 Science Hill - 26 Houston - 27 Farragut - 28 Christian Bros - 24 MBA - 48 BGA - 49
  18. The SIMA Fab 50 is the only national ranking I have come across for this spring on topdrawersoccer.com: http://www.topdrawersoccer.com/high-school-soccer/national-team-rankings/men/spring-april-21/5003/45/nopage-0 Hardin Valley - 11 McCallie - 29 Science Hill - 32 Houston - 34 Christian Bros - 35 Station Camp - 39 CAK - 41 Farragut - 42
  19. No question 9AAA is down but I have seen most of the better teams from the East and certainly Station Camp should be able to hang with any of them. Tough defensively, solid in the middle, and talented up top. Hardin Valley is probably the toughest team I have seen this year defensively and they are solid everywhere. Gallatin is a sleeper from the district and ultimately they have a good chance to be number two when everything is said and done but they can't afford to lose to Hendersonville or everything could be up for grabs.
  20. Bearden fields were leaps and bounds above where they have been in yhe past at this time of year. I watched the Hardin Valley vs Hendersonville game. I would say HVA had a lot of big bodied solid boys that are good on the ball and their defense was solid. They seriously limited Hendersonvilles opportunities. Then on two of Hendersonvilles best scoring opportunities HVA countered quickly for scores. Hendersonville looked like they need some seasoning and the competition at the Bearden is a good way to guage where you need to improve.
  21. I know Father Ryan is not AAA but I was just referencing I have seem them play this season.
  22. Let's not let the East do all the talking. There is always a couple of teams from the mid-state that are vying for a state championship. I have seen some good games out of Independence, Brentwood, Overton, Station Camp and Father Ryan so far this season. Who is lurking and who will win their district?
  23. I saw that and it was quite surprising. I would hope at the very least that ND had completely replaced the starters and said only header scores at this point or something.
