Richland wins the rematch 6-4 in a great game. Haley Fagan hit what would have been a walk off home run in the bottom on the 7th that just missed the top of the left field foul pole! Great job by Richland, two very good teams! Good luck to both on Friday night! Richland will be a FORCE to be reckoned with in the coming years!!!

Yes - the lady bulldogs are finally getting healthy? Fagan ran out of gas in the championship game after throwing four games in a row. Lindsey Dalton with a HUGE slam against Ravenwood, Looking forward to the post season!!

Fagan pitched 4 innings gave up one unearned run. 1 hit - 2BB - 11K's. Fagan aggravated a mild back strain and was pulled after the fourth. Taylor Wolaver Fr. Threw well three innings & got the loss. Not worried about Cornersville. Fagan, Hopkins, Crowell, and Johnson are all hurt but should be back to 100% by April. Fagan hit a monster HR in the 7th. Many girls playing out of position due to injuries. It's still early. Just their first regular season game.

MaKenzie broke the growth plate in her LEFT WRIST. She will be in a cast 4wks then rehab for two. This should put her back in the line-up no later than the first weekend in April just in time for the Chick-Fil-A tournament in Brentwood. The Lady DAWGS will be OK, this will be an opportunity to build some depth and make them even stronger for the post season. I agree with the earlier post that Richland will be a very good challenge to Cornersville in D11A. Very good Freshman Pitcher/Catcher combination. However, Cornersville is loaded with experienced travel ball players and with the BIG NASTY in the circle they will be a handful for ANYBODY they play.

The Lady Bulldogs have only two returning starters from last years squad and neither of those two starters played during summer team camps due to injuries. Coach Landers is still trying to find the right combinations. They've showed flashes against good teams (WC-MCHS-LHS etc)that they can be pretty good, but just haven't put it together yet. The very tough first half schedule will pay off come February. At least we hope so!

I think Santa Fe - Richland will be closer than that. Lady Raiders in a close one!

DUH! Defending State Runner-up! Lost only one Senior from last years team! Bruce is a good coach, but he stepped into a pretty good situtation. Give him credit for being smart enough to go where talent & an a GREAT summer AAU program exist!! Those kids don't need a lot of coaching! Over coaching them at this point would be counter productive. Give'em a little guidance & turn them loose!
