  1. Wow. It sounds like you and coach Rankin need to get a room somewhere and play slow jams by a candle light dinner. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Listen, you have come onto our page talking trash about Alcoa smashing AE and how undisciplined AE players are and expect nobody to say anything back? And then when someone says something you get offended. Get your panties out of a wod good sir. Man up. The fact is this: Alcoa is a good team. There??™s no denying that. This is also a fact: AE WILL see Alcoa this year in the playoffs and regardless of what you think, Alcoa just may be turning in their equipment that following Monday. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  2. I mean really, who have you guys played that's worth anything the past 20 years? A large group of nobodies is the answer. Oh wait, you did play Maryville last year and got the business. Other than that you play nobodies. You can tell that when you all switched coaches and Alcoa continued to win games. That's a sign that it was never the coaching or a great and sound disciplined team. Heck, when a team like SPring Hill is the toughest on your schedule (other than Maryville) includeing the playoffs what team of pure athletes wouldn't win? Year in and year out, AE plays against some of the best in the state. And as far as AE not being disciplined, go over to the school and watch how they run practice and workouts. It's like a machine. By the way, Coach Graham has practically a brand new staff on both sides of the ball. So don't act like AE is just a bunch of undisciplined thugs because they're not by any means. I tell you what Alcoa, if you all want you show us little people how disciplined you all are, schedule some tougher non-conference games next year and actually win them. Until then, quit riding the players and coaches at Alcoa. Beep!!! Beep!!!
  3. In regards to Brandon Lopez being the missing key, I have to disagree. With everything AE has coming back, I honestly don't think They will need him. Not saying he wouldn't help the team because he would. My question is where would he play? DJ Oggs looks like a stud at QB. I don't see anyone taking the spotlight from him. I do think the team needs Brandon's Leadership though. But regardless of whether or not Lopez returns, AE is going to dominate.
  4. You're right about everyone of them. That's why the topic for this forum is 'AE is Fully Reloaded'. From what I hear, DJ Oggs is one of the most consistant players AE has (on the field). He has been throwing own his own early in the morning and after school, as well meeting with his coaches to study the offense. In addition, his grades are great. In the weight room, he's lifting more than some of the Offensive line. I don't know if that's a good thing or bad thing (LOL). The fact is this: They're all working from what I hear. The biggest thing with DJ is that he needs to mature off the field. But I know he'll get there soon enough. Tremond is running track so look to see some improvement speed wise from him.
  5. I'm not saying Catholic isn't a good football team beacuase they are year in and year out. The fact is this: Your fans told me they personally called to make sure the AE boys weren't going to play. From that point, the superintendent went to the school and suspended the boys without speaking with Coach Graham. Coach Graham already had those boys carrying out their punishments the day after the incedent happened and was supposed to continue throughout the week. They were doing community service, running after practice, writing formal apologies to the store, and they were going to sit Two quarters a piece. That week, AE couldn't even practice without the media vans and camera crews trying to disrupt practice. Literally, they were climbing over fences, and in the trees filming. No joke, I saw that for myself. The troubling part was later on, when I heard your supporters boasting about getting the media and superintendent to do that. What was sad, was half of the boys he (superintendent) suspended really didn't do anything. I'm just saying, since when has a superintendent ever stepped in and did something like that? Now, I'm not excusing what the AE boys did because it was wrong. But to me, because the following actions by Catholic supporters, leaves Catholic with a tarnished state championship ring.
  6. This upcoming year, they have one of the toughest schedules in the state if not THE toughest. Especially the first five or six games. Week 0-Morristown East Week 1-Ooltewah Week 2-Fulton (H) Week 3-Catholic (A) Week 4-Carter (A) Week 5-Chatt. Brainerd (H) Week 6-Bye Week Week 7-Union Co. (A) Week 8-Gatlinburg Pitman (A) Week 9-Pigeon Forge (H) Week 10-Gibbs (H)
  7. You're right though, Clark is going to have to respond this year. He has big play capability everytime he touches the ball. Their returning WR crew will be over 6-2 (Tremond Robinson 6-3, WIlliam Clark6-3). AE also has another tall WR coming to the team this Spring. 6-4, 195 Antonio Dailey (JR). He passes the look test. He doesn't have an ounce of fat on him. I think this year they will have a better QB who can find ways to get WR's the ball. Not taking away from Dean, but DJ Oggs has a much stronger arm and loves to show it off. The good thing is that he's only an upcoming sophomore.
  8. Despite what Irish fans think, Catholic is no real champions. They had their parents, boosters, fans, and coaches stir up a bunch of mess about those players getting into trouble at Austin East (round 3). I heard this from parents in the organization. In other words, they beat Austin East's JV/Freshman team in the playoffs thanks to their daddy(knox co. superintendent) putting those AE boys "in their place". Knox Catholic is the laughing stock of high school football. Ask any real champions who've actually earned it. You guys are so spoiled that you actually think that by undercutting Austin-East in the 3rd round, you did something to earn those rings? Please. I live in Johnson City and have heard people from inside Catholic boast about calling news reporters and people 'high up' in central office to get something done about getting the AE kids suspended from the game. Doesn't the vice superintendent's son play QB for catholic? That is shameful. In fact, I'm embarrassed for you. Good job fighting Irish supporters!! Keep the milk right on a comin' for the boys to drink. You want be able to pull that crap this year. Eventhough I'm sure you all will try if you get the chance.
  9. Catholic is no real champions. In fact, they're the laughing stocks of high school football. Ask any real championshp callaber team. They beat AE's Freshman and JV that night. Their parents, school boosters, coaches, and fans contiuously called into central office and hyped up the media to make sure AE players didn't have a shot to win that week (I know that for a fact from inside sources at Catholic). Way to keep that milk pumping into the player's mouth fighting Irish. You all are so spoiled, you really think you earned those rings after the crap you all pulled during round 3. Since you all don't seem to be, I'm embarrassed for you. As a matter of fact, doesn't the vice-superintendent's son play QB for catholic? Way to cry home to your daddy: Mr. Superintendent. He really came to Austin East and let those players have it on your behalf. Maybe he'll do it again next year.
  10. Just to throw another name in the pot, I think Marcus Bragg would make a great pick. Bragg is the assistant head coach/ offensive coordinator at Austin East. He's had 6 years experience coaching at ETSU, Morristown West, Carson Newman, and now Austin East. His family is from Sweetwater. In his coaching career, Bragg coordnated offenses that beat teams like Maryville(2003), Fulton, Morristown East, Brainerd, Anderson Co. to name a few. He's got the coaching experience, but is also young enough to relate to the kids. Look at all of those athletes that Sweetwater has. As a coach, you have to know how to manage them differently than you do a team who has no talent. Sweetwater also needs a coach who can keep the athletes coming to sweetwater instead of Maryville and Alcoa. I don't know how the interview process is going, but I think Sweetwater would be foolish not to at least sit down with him.
  11. Does anybody know if Sweetwater found a head coach yet?
  12. You better hope they're locked up. Otherwise, Alcoa will have a fluke state chamionship ring like Catholic
  13. Despite what happened at the end of last season with their players getting in trouble, Austin East is back. They have several juniors who have already been offered full rides by major D-1 schools. Of them, standout Defensive End/ Tight End, Travei Pryor (6-7, 245) and Middle Line Backer, Devente Hawkins (6-1, 235) will be two of many on the team that will lead the RoadRunner pack this upcoming year. I feel sorry for teams that have to face the Roadrunners this year. Their entire WR core is over 6 feet and their top 3 runnining backs are by far the best in the area, if not the state. Their QB, coming into the spring is a lefty freshman who got a lot of playing time for varsity last year. He knows the system inside and out and is extremely athletic. All challengers be ware!! This team is tough!!
  14. I think the Austin East game will be harder than Morristown East thinks. Alot of people forget, Austin East should have won the state last year if it wasn't for 8 of their players getting in trouble. They have 3 returners that have already been offered major D-1 scholarships as Juniors, and their freshman team beat the best in Knoxville area by 35 points (literally, they beat farragett, oak ridge, and catholic's JV and Freshman team by an average of 38 points). Heck, their returning wide recievers average 6-4. From what I understand, coach Hatcher paid this team big money to come and play them as if they're going to be a cake walk. Austin East also has one of Morristown's own former standouts on their staff, . Marcus Bragg, who played WR at Morristown East, is the assistant head coach/ offensive coordinator at Austin East. His father used to be the head coach of the hurricanes back in the 90's. He might be looking for revenge (LOL). He's got the athletes to do it. I'm looking forward to see what happens on week 0.
  15. Wow, I read where someone earlier said White Co. was looking to hire the middle school coach to run the varsity. Are they serious? Is this the same middle school coach who fed them the type of athletes and losing tradition to win 3 games in two years, and Lord knows how many losses came before that? If that's the same guy, I don't care how many weight rooms you build or how much you upgrade your facilities, the team expectations to win will still be low for the simple fact that they were never high when he coached them in middle school. The players know that. They may not want to admit it, but they all know it. Heck, He'll be excitied if the team wins more than 2 games in one season. Why? Because even if the bar is raised by the coach, the players will still feel comfortable with a 3-7 season. Now I've read where some of the coaches who have applied have great credentials and didn't even get interviewed. I don't know if the guy who played at Dartmouth had a chance or not, but he sounded like a good option. Also, Bragg hasn't even got an interview. His winning percentage as a coordinator is almost 90%, and against good teams like Fulton, Anderson Co., Kingston, Brainerd, etc...I'm not syaing hire Bragg or the guy from Dartmouth, but applicants with these types of credintials are getting passed over by a middle school coach? If that's who they chose to run their program (someone who helped contribute to an already struggling program) White Co. Football deserves to stay at the bottom of the barrell.
