  1. Thanks! What about the Large Division of D-2?
  2. Can someone give me an idea of who will be playing who in the 1st round of the Division 2A football playoffs? If things play out like they should the last week of the regular season how do the playoffs line up?? Thanks!
  3. Your sources are not correct. I am going to tell you again I am 100% certain. I don't know how to tell you any better. I am not saying he shouldn't have been considered. But I know for a fact he never was called or considered. Ask Rector or Masters if they have ever talked about the BA job. The answer is no.
  4. Just so everyone on here knows Rector never was considered for the BA job. He never interviewed nor was he ever contacted to be interviewed for the job. I am 100% certain of this. I think he is a good coach, but BA had no interest in him. The top 4 choices at BA now (and have been the same except for the coach from Texas that they offered a few weeks ago) are.....in no particular order George Quarles Ralph Potter Jeff Rutledge Brad Perry (current OC, alum of BA) All 4 great Christian men and great football coaches. All the talk about Rector is untrue though. Should be interesting to see what happens.
  5. Brentwood Academy defeats Bolivar and Mitchell in a two day period. Josh Bone played great tonight for BA. Wright didn't have to do as much since Bone, Brian Wright and Brandon Brown played so well. BA played without there starting PG the last two games (Kottas), so they kept alternating Bone and Wright bringing the ball up. Thaddeous Young is a great player. As far as team is concerned, BA is definitely better. Mitchell was just as talented as BA, but they are not very well disciplined or well coached. It is great that these teams face each other and care less about there records.
  6. I know that Baylor has talked to David Pack (former CPA head coach, now at Ensworth). From a person in the Baylor community I heard that they talked to Rankin once, and said thanks but no thanks. I think Pack would seriously consider this job, and do not be surprised if he gets current Davidson Academy coach Paul Wade to be his top asst. if he went to Baylor.
  7. Just wondering if anyone knows who the Offensive and Defensive MVP's of the 5A game are? Congratulations to Ravenwood on an outstanding year!
  8. Just heard 12-7 Final. If so I am sure it was emotional, congrats to Coach Fitz!! What a emotional week for PC
  9. I think all 4 of those BA guys should be really good. Kottas, Garrett, Brown and Wright seem like they have been playing there forever. It is going to be hard to bet againist BA for the next TWO years! Seems like BA is now a basketball school. Someone told me at the game the other day that the guys in school there now have won a ton of games all the way back to there Jr. High days and the conference they play in. Coach Pitts sure has done a great job developing alot of this young talent!
  10. By the way Brandan will be at the UNC vs. Duke game on March 6th at Chapel Hill. These two schools along with Kentucky are his top three college choices (if he decided to go that way). I think he will be sucessful no matter what road he chooses!
  11. I just think that the guys who seem to do there local teams are very good, and they are also very complimentary of there opponents. I know that opponents of BA and Brentwood High are somewhat surprised at how they seem to compliment both teams throughout (which is only right)! I just think that Sperduto says Wow! a few too many times throughout the night. Although, I will agree it makes for a great atmosphere for the kids to play on TV for a night. Just think that the people I have listened to here on replays for these local teams are really good and fun to listen too.
  12. Does anyone else think the guys on CSS are a little over rated? Pat Sperduto messes up quite a few names during games. I think the production (replays, stats) are great but the announcers are hard to listen too. Some of the best games to watch have been some of the local High Schools. Brentwood High and Brentwood Academy seem to have knowledgeable announcers. They are entertaining to listen too, and are complimentary of there school and there opponents. I just like the hometown feel that both of these teams announcers have, and I think both schools should be proud of the work that they do.
