  1. Right, like Devan Allen and Jesse Kraus. Oh wait... That was cold....Actually I was thinking Plount (CN) and Frank (Tusculum).
  2. You keep saying they don't quit like last years team. I don't reacall anybody quiting on last years team. But you're right. They aren't like last years team in one way. They're 0 and 4!!! And fumble the ball 4 times as much. And they have an easier schedule this year than years past. WOW JC has the same record as DB!!! No, they don't quit. That is the thing I love about their character as young men. I NEVER said "like last years team", you put words in my mouth that are NOT there. I did not imply that either. Never would. If you think that, you are miss reading my post. You need to read the post and not put words on my post that do not exist. I sat in the stands until the last second ticked off the clock in every game last season and will continue to do so this season. Last years team had a Sr QB that is now playing at Carson Newman and a Sr Running Back who is playing at UTC and I do not recall us winning but only one game after McFall was injured and out for the season and that was against Cocke-Co. You may want to look at the whole record as we are 1 and 11 since McFall went out last year. There are plenty of turnovers to go around since that night. Also, I am not sure how you figure this years schedule is easier? We went on the road to Greene County , again. Then play a preseason top 5 team with a D1 prospect as their running back. Then go on the road against an undefeated SC, who spanked DB last night. Then have to go on the road AGAIN against a team that had a 10-0 halftime lead on that preseason top 5 team you played 2 weeks ago. So we have played 3 road games and 1 home game vs a preseason top 5 team and this is an easier schedule, HOW??????? GO PATRIOTS!!! More Cowbell is coming!!!! Fear the Cowbell!!! Join the Cowbell nation. Whats McFall got to do with anything?? We won one game when he was QB (Greeneville), were losing against Campbell county when he went out in the 1st quarter and Darby took over (we won the game) cause we got mad (and didn't quit) and we won against Cocke County. Would the season have been different if he had not got hurt? I would like to think so but who knows? We dang near beat the snot out of Bearden last game last year but lost on a trick play, after a turn over. For that matter every team we played last year win or lose was limping off the field. Remember DB or SH? This was supposed to be the "undefeated Freshman" team to regain the past of JC football. What happened???? I don't see the focus or commitment from this team as in years past or the phyiscal smash mouth football that is supposed to be JC. Don't miss understand me. Some players on this team have that drive. Maybe your kid is one of them, but as a team, overall it's not there. At least not yet. How do you instill that into a 15-18 yr old kid? Peer leadership, parents, and coaches need to do their part, but the kids have got to have the want and will to do what it takes through the week, not just on Firday night. And by the way, there are several other players besides McFall (CN) and Brooks (UTC) from last years team that are playing on Saturday's now. I really hope this team turns things around the rest of the season.
  3. Thanks GovMan, That is the one thing I must say about this years Jeff-Co team, they will have a miss-q or two or even three or four, but they do not quit. We still had a chance to win and went down swinging. That attitude will help these young men out later in life. Congratulations to the Govs, you folks were Classy in the win. You have some outstanding fans. Good Luck to the rest of your season. GO PATRIOTS!!! More Cowbell is coming!!!! Fear the Cowbell!!! Join the Cowbell nation. You keep saying they don't quit like last years team. I don't reacall anybody quiting on last years team. But you're right. They aren't like last years team in one way. They're 0 and 4!!! 4. Not sure if thats a good move for the patriots . Buster's been there for almost 30yrs though the good and bad times. 2007 season we went 7-3. A drastic improvement over previous years. Would have done just as good or better this year had the injury bug not bit so hard. Still had several players get offers and commit on signing day according to the other posts on here. Any one know what school in GA? Best of luck to Buster and his family as he hopefully moves on to better things. You will be greatly missed.

  6. Just because you asked. http://www.citizentribune.com/news/view_se...idarticle=11388
  7. Good luck Will! Way to hang in there. I understand several other Patriots signed as well. Anyone know the complete list or any other region 1 5A players that signed?
  8. What an absolute joke!!!! Oh what a feeling Toyota. We've got several players in Jefferson County, just as other teams, that has better stats and deserved to be there a lot more. One off the top of my head is #46 Will Brooks a FB that rushed for over 1100yds, second leading rusher in Region 1, probably the best FB in East Tn. Christian McFall a 4yr starter with over 2600yds rushing not selected??? Just how in the heck where these players picked?? What criteria did they use? I'm sure everyone on here could pick one or two more deserving from their area, so we would all like to know how it's done.
  9. Campbell County wins over SC. I really want to see ya get DB. Ya play'em like ya played Jeff Co and you'll win.
  10. Congrats JETS!!! You guys desrve it. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  11. Concerning the game: Hate to see anybody get shut out like that. Hopefully better days are ahead for our neighbors in Newport. Stick with it players you'll only get better from here. Thought number 1 was gonna break some lose but he seemd to stop to much on the run backs. CC has a huge front D line. How big are those guys? Nice to see some refs that actually let the kids play ball. Thanks!!! Can we get these guys again?? They weren't trying to be the center of attention. Good job on both sides of the ball JC. Keep the momentum up for Karns!!!
  12. Yeap, done with the chicken, pass the beaver please. Don't see how Sevier County can be counted as second or third on region 1. They just lost to Seymore. Anyone know what happened?
  13. It's called injuries dufuss. We played with a backup QB, backup RB, backup LB, back up OL man. Three of those were hurt in the same game against Campbell County. We just don't go on and on and cry and whine about it. Interesting how only the DB fans think they didn't do anything wrong. By the way CC is gonna lay a hurting on your girls.
