  1. Well I am in NO way condoning her actions, but if she was sitting down where I was near the student section (had we known this we would have chosen a different section) the chants of "take your #### back" not only to our cheerleaders while they were coming over to support our band, AND to our fans, I can see why she displayed such action. And these kids were literally in adults faces yelling at them. I feel issues like this should be addressed and shut down by the AD! But the sportsmanship shown on the field, which is where it counts most, was exceptional. It was an exciting 4th quarter to say the least.
  2. Legendary Milan High School coach, Coach John Wade Tucker has passed away. A press release from the Milan Mirror Exchange was updated with more information to come as it is available. Please remember his family, friends, and the Milan football community in your thoughts and prayers during this time. Will update as more information becomes available.
  3. Well they didn't use last years experience to do better this year....out in round one again! The brothers graduate this year....we'll see how they make their traditions next year.
  4. For the second year in a row, the Hornets fall in round one of the playoffs! Still can't hang with the big boys.... Tradition Never Graduates
  5. Milan 44-CC 7 with a 46 yard field goal by Caleb Appleton! Good job Dawgs! Milan isn't "down"......just got too cocky last week.
  6. Awe...how sweet that you've missed me. Not very attentive tho....or you'd realize I usually only post in the play-offs. I made an exception for you, however.
  7. The bus is owned (or was...he had it for sale but idk if he ever actually sold it) by a well known businessman in town. It's made a trip or two to Pittsburg, but usually spends most of its time sittin around! Lol As far as wearing their gear, I have two theories to offer, and you can pick the one you like best.... A.) They are big Steelers fans...so they wear their gear. There are alot of them in the world...quite a few around here as well... B.) It's their gang colors / ties. We have alot of gang ties in this area....and it's moved further than just the Crips and the Bloods and their red and blue. NFL, NBA, NASCAR teams, these all have potential to represent gangs now days. So you take your pick what truth you wanna believe!
  8. Actually, I wasn't taking up for anyone. My comment towards your post was based on the criticisms I received from numerous posters (not necessarily CAK fans) after my analysis of Milan's performance Friday. Don't reckon I lumped you into any category, I was just making a generalized statement....but guess since I'm a Milan fan, we're not allowed our open honest opinions without being criticized and called sore losers. Everyone else can...just not us Milan faithful......
  9. I wonder why we had to forfeit those games?!?!? Oh that's right....we're not an open zone school! Silly me....those Alcoa fans almost had me convinced otherwise! Be careful with those explinations...as Milan fans have been told, just admit you were beaten by the better more talented team.
  10. You know, I was gonna be done with my original post for the season, but I couldn't pass this one up. First let me say, I have grown up with Milan football, not as a sport, but as a way of life! I've known Tucker, Bland, and Morris Milan Football! I lived it for five years while I was out there busting my butt every Friday night, under appreciated by the fans, but still there kick off to buzzer, in the band. I KNOW Milan football....and I would be willing to bet my next paycheck that in some media about today's game, Jeff Morris himself will step up and admit that this game was lost because of a COACHING FAILURE!!! Did I ever say CAK didn't deserve the win??? Nope....did I ever say Milan wasn't dominated by better talent??? Nope...but you didn't see Milan's TRUE talent shine through tonight! #29 was limited on carrying the ball...especially in the first half. Why?...play calling by the coaches....coaching failure. #3 only had one big breakout run...why?...play calling...coaching failure...eh oh and he got hurt but play calling was a big part too. Please go back and read ALL the posts from during the game...Fairview and CPA fans made mention many times that this team was NOT the team that beat them in weeks prior!! So YOU have seriously got to be kidding ME if you think coaching failures didn't have anything to do with the loss today! I love how all these Milan haters come out of the woodworks when we lose to a team that NO ONE else in 3A could touch either!
  11. Well APB, had to stop following after you at some point! Lol much love APB...much love!
  12. First off...congrats to CAK for your first state title game and victory! If my Dawgs have to tote the silver back to the west, I'm more than proud that your team gets to make their first trip back up the mountain with the Gold! I pulled for y'all many times against Alcoa because of families ties at CAK. So congratulations Warriors. With that being said...this is NOT the team I have watched the past few weeks...but it's the team that showed up today. Unfortunately, I think the loss today was a complete and utter coaching failure! I'm beside myself as to why we wait until the fricken state championship game to try to be a passing offense! Blows my mind... I know the haterz are gonna hate...but the way I look at it...y'all didn't even get a door prize for your efforts! So I'll gladly tote my silver ball back to the west...and proudly decorate my purple and white tree with silver balls! As far as private vs open zone vs public...doesn't really matter because Milan is gonna play whoever, whenever and give it their all! Tradition NEVER Graduates...and something Alcoa...CAK...not even Maryville can say is that they have the tradition of Milan! 29 consecutive years of being in the Tennessee state playoffs....after next year we'll make that 30! So until next year...BullDawgGirl03 out! GO DAWGS!!!
  13. Well we're headed up this mountain....I'm getting exited and nervous at the same time! Hope for an injury free game on both sides of the field! Let's go Dawgs!! Bring that gold ball back to the west where it belongs!!! GO DAWGS!!!!
  14. We like to refer to the two collectively as Thunder (# 29) and Lightening (# 3)! It might be difficult to defend the pass....but y'all are gonna have a time stopping Thunder and Lightening! Go Dawgs!
  15. I don't remember him ever actually chanting "go, go, go", but he did start a defense chant many times....and after some of the schools we have played at this season, our announcers style is MILD! Especially compared to Fairviews and South Gibson...just a couple that come to mind quickly. As for the radio announcer....if some of you don't like his style...or favoritism towards Milan...then I'd suggest you should probably turn and listen to CPAs station......oh wait that's right, they don't have one and apparently since Milan is still on 'dial up', you couldn't get your fancy dancy video thread to work. Guess you'll have to just wait for the outcome to pop up on CoachT! One thing about it....our dial up systems and 'Homer' announcer will be sittin in Cookeville this coming Friday afternoon at 3:30 with a packed house of Purple, while your fancy video thread will be broadcasting a lovely instructional video on how to winterize your field house! Now that the smack is outta the way...GREAT defensive game!! Neither offense could really get things started, but these are def. the two best defenses in 3A in the state! Milan's D just made more plays tonight! CPA, it was a pleasure to host you at the Pound...I did find it kinda funny when I overheard three CPA ladies talking in the restroom during halftime about how worried they were because "Milan wasn't supposed to be that good".....interesting theory there after 29 consecutive years of TSSAA state playoff apperances. great game, that had my BP up and had me worried most of the evening! Best of luck to you guys next year, and hope we get to meet again in the future! State Bound Dawgs!!! Practice hard, stay focused, and most importantly....BELIEVE!! See y'all in Cookeville!!!
