You're exactly right. I was at the game last night also. I've never seen either team play before last night. #5's attitude would have had her on the bench at my school. Number #32 for Clay Co. did a great job guarding Snow. Snow was fustrated all night. It was a great game and a good win for the Lady Dogs! Hope to see them at the "Boro"

The region was held at Cleveland State last year which would have been in the 5AA district. The year before that it was held at East Ridge which would have been in the 6AA district. So it is 6AA turn to host the region. Sequatchie did offer to host the region for Marion but was turned down. I think its a good idea to hold the region at a neutral place. Chattanooga State will make a great place for some good competition.

They also lost to Sequatchie Co. and Hixson. If you look at their record, it is not impressive!

Question-- When you count points do you count only varsity games played or do you include any J.V. games played in earlier years, AAU games, etc?

Wanting an update on Sasha Rollins who transfered from Sequatchie Co. How is she doing at Bradley? Is she playing varsity or J.V.? I don't see her name in the paper, just wondering if she is still playing ball. Thanks!

Unless it snows tomorrow(which is unlikely) the game will be played. We don't have that many make up days for games and we still have to reschedule the Marion game to be played at Dunlap.

Yes the game Monday will be played. We travel to South Pittsburg. Game time is 6:00 p.m. You missed two really good games at Marion, hope you enjoyed watching Tennessee get BEAT!!

The game for Friday night Dec. 19th is called off. The school officials even made the football team reschedule their awards banquet that was to be held last night. We are not able to practice. School officials don't want any activities at the school PERIOD!!

The whole idea behind closing school for illness is to isolate the sick from the well. To stop the spread of flu bugs you have to stop gatherings of people in public places. If you don't want sick and well students confined in a classroom so that the germs continue to spread, then you don't want the sick and well students in a gym for an extra-curricular activity such as a basketball game. I know there were several sick people from Grundy at our game last Friday night. I felt sorry for the score keeper from Grundy but even sorryier for our score keeper that had to sit beside him. The poor guy couldn't quit coughing and it sounded awful. Being around people that sick is how this stuff is spreading and it's got to be stopped before its an epidemic. Did you hear about the 15 year old at Cookeville dying this week from flu complications. He was a healthy athlete, but died. This is serious stuff!!

School board policy, no school no sports. If kids are too sick to attend school then they are too sick to play sports.

This game will probably have to be played another time. We are closing our schools Thursday and Friday due to the flu. They are keeping them open the next two days for finals and then shutting them down. No school on Friday means no ballgame on Friday night! The game,when played, will be a good one. I was surprised that Bledsoe only won by 4.

Yes our "big dogs" this year are freshmen. There are many times I'm on the floor with four freshmen, and I love every minute. They all have heart for the game and can only get better as the season progresses. As for the curssing, maybe you need to look at your new boys coach. Sitting behind him during the game the G.D. was used every breath, and I understand it was even worse at the end of the game in the locker room. The refs came out from dressing and said they had never heard anything like it. Maybe the Grundy Co. school board should take a listen to their new coach!!
