  1. I say Brentwood 28 Indy 6. Last week Brentwood shut down for the most part one of the top 10 running games in the state in symrna and and also shut down the passing game with three of their starters injured they get two of them back this week. I say indy wont get one touchdown unless its a misque from the offense. The only reasons the defense let lavergne score 20 on them was from two scrambles out of the pocket and shot up hail marys and hoped for the best and the other touchdown wasnt even on the defense it was a interception return for the touchdown. I do say though that if indys defense plays like they did on friday night in the first have the whole game it will be alot closer, but i still say Brentwood will pull it out.
  2. This also happen in the class of 2007 playoff game and cost them the game and had to go into overtime which resluted in a loss. The fans came running on the field and everything but the refs said no good becuase they said they lost sight of the ball. I know these arent pro refs but come on!!
  3. Centennial not only lost all of there seniors from last year, but also Tony Kemp stand out running back is not playing this year, due to concentraing on baseball and his scholarship to Vandy. So i pick Franklin by at least 2 touchdowns.
  4. Ok MackBrown, Let me make this clear i am just a fan of this District I understand that you know that Brentwood lost alot of seniors, but that was just on defense and only lost three guys on offense. First i will state that on offense yes AJ Krow was the anchor of the team, but the team had no throwing game which cost them going to STATE, the new quarter back Clay Webber a JR. started three games last year and averaged over 180 yards of passing yards during those games as a soph. thats pretty good and only one of those games was a cupcake. The rest of the offense will return which includes division I prospects Jordans Evans WR/Ath. and Jeremy Coffey RB, they also have Michael Dugan 6'5 WR and all there line excpet two return. Now on Defense you said we lost every starter except Cameron Croy, that is wrong we have Austin Johnson starting CB and also on Brentwoods D-line the coaches dont play the same four guys they have a rotation and get two very strong boys back Jacob Norfleet DE ( younger Brother to Jaron Norfleet UTC) and Grahm Slaughter NT who had a total of 3 sacks last year and forced the QBs to get rid of the ball when they didnt want to. Sure they have work to do, but Defense is what Brentwood is known for not offense every year since Crawford as been there the defense has been one of the best in the district let alone the state and he looses guys every year to it. Now Franklin is going to be very good with Keylo and Ford both these boys were amazing last year and im not expecting any drop off, i have heard form franklin sources that they have been trying Keylo in the slot for a recevier weapon since they lost both Eaton and Starnes to Grad. and i have heard that Mikurt is projected to be the starter (brother former rebel QB) Ravenwood- Gets Tony Rowland back at RB, Alex Williams at QB and Ryan Fitzpatrick at WR. That is going to be another explosive offense and they always seem to have one line sign with a division I team every year. Indy - Get there QB back who will be the starter for his third year, but might be in the same boat as last year if they can not find a running game to help him with the passing becuase half way through the year teams found out about this and just just covered them and didnt worry about the running game. Centennial - Offense people are saying will be down , but they have in my mind the best RB in the Region in Tony Kemp and another athletic QB in Leach, even though he is a soph. he started on the varsity last year on defense and let me tell you this kid can play the game. AS for loosing Drew Kelly yes he was a big body but he only mabye got one catch a game usually, this offense is made for running and that is what ehy will do. So as you can see this region has some great offensive fire power, but the winner will be which team can have the defense to stop just some of the points that will be scored this year becasue it is not just Brentwood last lost defense.
  5. Here are the real updated standings as of today. Teams Wins Losses 1 Overton 8 1 2 Franklin 7 1 3 Independence 5 3 4 Ravenwood 5 4 5 Brentwood 4 5 6 Centennial 4 5 7 Hillwood 1 7 8 Hillsboro 0 8 There are two games that need to be made up, they are the Hillwood vs. Hillsboro second game and also the Indy vs Franklin second which actually could play a vital role in who get to take home second place. Overton and Franklin play twice this week so we will see who gets first place locked up and after that its anyones game for third to sixth.
  6. I dont know if you were there, but yes the final Score shows that BA beat Brentwood Pretty handly, but 9 of the runs were scored by BA's JV team on Brentwoods JV team. WHen both teams took there starting core out the score was only 5-3! So just remember son get all your facts not just some of them to make yourself look good, but you did get the pitching stats right and i do agree BA is probably better but there not Farragut better.
  7. Brentwood beats Hillsboro tonight. 74-57 Brentwood plays ravenwood friday and if they win they win 11-AAA becasue of Independence's loss tonight.
  8. WOW I just finished all of this bashing. First of all I want to know how stupid you all sound, i know yall are rivals and playing each but just cool or it will come back to haunt both of you not just one. I have been watching this district for the past 15 years now and all i can say is it is the best district in middle tennessee maybe the whole state. There have been so many good players and so many great teams. One thing though is that preseason predictions dont mean squat. This has happened to so many teams especially i nthe past few years. In 2007 Brentwood and Franklin were picked to win the whole region because of there talent and depth at pitchers and hitters at all positions becasue they all played since soph. year just like Independence this year. BUT GUESS WHO WON THE WHOLE DISTRICT, overton came out of no were and only lost twice during the year. The following year same scenerio both Franklin and Brentwood picked to win but guess who goes to the STATE TOURNY Ravenwood. SO if you think all this talk is helping or boasting your confidence, maybeit might be in your mind but to the teams that no one is talking about watch out because they will want to beat you even more. Ok I know how good both Brentwood and Indy are, ive seen Lee play one of the best hands i have ever seen. Hillis and Ray are outstanding but players will step up, and dont say Brentwood offense is horrible because you dont know any names you never no. But as for the other teams that every one should look out for in the district Franklin - Get back four starters and kind of a fifth because if Jake little didnt get hurt last year he would have started at third. THey will be dangerous becasue these boys are just bread to hit the baseball. Robertson will compete for right handed pitcher of the year Centennial - Im surprised not that many people are talking about these guys. Sure they lost there pitching, but they got a great core of postion players returning that include C - Fennell, Kemp, passmore, and i also heard that Manny is back this year. Another dangerous team that not many people are talking about. Ravenwood - Lost Kes Carter, big whoop. i remember last year everyone was saying how bad they were gonna be because they lost PJ. Trust me they will be back they have alot of position players back. And Boyd will give them alot of Solid innings. Overton - No one ever talks about these guys but they always find themselves hunt for either first or are in it at the end in the playoffs. Last year these guys were filled with sophmores. They are juniors now and are hungry becasue no one takes them serious. They are all around the fastest team, but need to find some pitchers to stay in the hunt for a spot. SO next time you think about ragging on just your two teams think about everyone else. THis year is going to be one of the best and I think closest years in the District i beleive that some people are in for a big suprise.
  9. Sorry buddy but i dont know how old you are but if this is the same Darren Henry that we are both talking about that i believe is still the Independence basketball coach and was one of the phy. ed teachers at bms. THen you are right he did play pro ball in europe but no he didnt attend Franklin he attended Downers Grove HIgh school in Illinois.
  10. The region has faired good in the past couple years with Franklin and Centennial advancing pretty far. With alot of college prosoects in the senior and junior classes this should be a great year for this region. Centennial's Drew Kelly should be the big man, but has some great compition from Franklins James Haddix who is actually 2 inches taller than kelly and Brentwoods Kyle Teichmann has started for three years like Kelly. All three of these matches will be fun for the fans to watch and the college recruiters. As for predictions at the start of the summer everyone would have predicted Franklin to win the region, but with one of there best players (Kegarise) moving to go to the high school where Carmello Anthoney went. My prediction changes: 1) Brentwood- Coach Kings second year back to coaching is a good one with a huge senior class with Teichmann, Orr, Hood, and Krow and also getting transfer Josh Tidwell back who was freshman of the year two years ago. 2) Franklin- James Haddix will be a breath of fresh air for FHS who needs a big guy to compete and with Micheal Young this team will be good on the three point arch also. 3) Centennial- Fast and BIG, they will stuggle at the beginnig of the season because unlike the top two teams there starting five mostly all play football and should go to the second round of the playoffs. Drew Kelly, Raymond Jackson, and Chaz Scales when football is over this team will go far too. 4) Hillsboro- Always athletic and competes 5) Independence- ok senior class unlike football 6) Overton- AND1 moves only get you so far, but could make some upsets 7) Ravenwood- Looses alot with Keith Morris gone, but is very young what do you think?
  11. You are right but some other stuff can happen and actually might too. Ravenwood isnt out of the woods just yet, they play two more teams Northeast and Dickson County. If both of these teams beat Ravenwood which is still possible and win one more of there three games and is also possible because they play each other this week the tie breaker would go to either northeast and Dickson. The reason why i am saying this is because Dickson County even though there record doesnt show it is a good young team and in the last two weeks are find there stride beating Indy 44-41 and loosing to a Centennial team 44-41 the week before who just walked all over Ravenwood. Northeast is also kinda of like a smaller coppy cat of Centenial with the running game and only lost to them by three touch downs and were only loosing to Franklin 28-0 at the end of three until they had to force throws and turnovers. So Ravenwood dont start jumping for joy yet, you still have to win one for game to clinch and trust me its gonna be hard.
  12. This game has always been a huge game for the city of Brentwood and this year it will be the same. What are your thoughts and predictions with Brentwood looking grest on both sides and Ravenwood loosing there best player?
  13. Ok dude first of all yall lost by three touchdowns and i know all three of those came in the fourth quater, but the fact is you lost by a good margin so you have no room to talk. Second it was the first game our players were just getting there feet wet and you havent even seen our real passing game with our two quaterback skeem. it was also first games ever for ryan grove transfer from father ryan DB and playing under the bruin spot light at home is hard to do transfering in your senior year. but i do give yall credit you were reallly good one of the best chs teams i have seen and yall should make the playoffs maybe even come in third place. good luck BRENTWOOD by 14
  14. ok yes brentwood is favored, but the brentwood players are not thinking about that four two reasons. First Brentwood high school has never lost to any type of centennial football team that includes varsity, jv, and freshman. THe bruin players each give pride in this and know that any former player that get a word of them loosing to chs they will get alot of beef. Second this is the year that everyone has been saying that chs actually has a chance against and to get there revenge on the beatings and the last scond fumble lost in 2003. So look for brentwood to come out early hitting hard and taking control of this game
