They landed a portal kid formerly at GP, then Cosby and now a Smoky Bear....Kid can tote the rock tho.

He's been there since right after the last game, they actually live very close to the school from what I'm told. Dad posted on the Facebooks that he wasn't a fan of the GP coach whatsoever and considered him to be a snake in the grass...

I'd guess him screaming at the coaches from the cheerleading deck proved that to be true...You can even here Marty & Rob mention it offhandedly during the broadcast.

I was not at the game but have several co-workers that were and they all said he went down to the cheerleading platform area and was yelling at the coaching staff and anyone else who would listen. He was upset with the play calls and the usage of players on the team. He has since taken to Facebook and called out the GP coach, calling it the "biggest daddy ball coached team" in east Tennessee. Another players parent has also agreed with him on the post. Seems like there is lots of tension in the Thicket.

GP played Alcoa hard for the first half of the regular season game last year and then Alcoa woke up coming out at halftime, I'd look for something similar to happen this Friday.

Sevier County was clicking on all cylinders Friday night and looked really solid, will take a big time effort for them to knock of Powell....Should be a good one.

Seymour fans might have a quarterback again soon, the rumor mill has it that the lefty gunslinger will be coming back from Bearden after not making it there. I'm sure that would be a welcome addition.

It was an absolute barnburner last year at Lon C Burchfield Stadium, the Smoky Bears look to be much improved. How is this one going to go?

GP by as much as they want..... Saw Seymour's QB and a WR have to be seperated after their first quarter in the jamboree after the INT on the last play of the qtr, that gave Pigeon Forge the W. I'm afraid it's going to be a long year for the South Knoxville Eagles....

They sure were piled in to the old Lon C Burchfield last night, some good football was played and some uuuuugly football was played. The Smoky Bears looked really good IMO and the Cougars were a nice surprise playing with the Highlanders....

The Sevier County Jamboree will be on the system Youtube tonight....

I had also heard good things coming out of the confrontation with the MightyWind of Eastern Morristown on Friday night. Looking forward to getting back for some Friday night action under the LED lights....

I was born, raised and still live in Sevierville and had no idea about the death penalty myself. I'm not as seasoned as you two gentlemen but today, I can say I learned something new....
