  1. Coming from somebody who has worked with both staffs, and hopes the best for both staffs consequently; I wish that graduations, returning starters, depth, and actual talent would be taken more into consideration when passing judgment on a school's program and coaches. Inexperience & Youth hurt Franklin last year, but continuity in freshmen & JV programs will alleviate this issue in the future. Positional depth is hurting Hillsboro, and sometimes there in no way around that. But Clayton, Murphy, and Lopez will make the Burros one of the most well-coached teams in the Metro district every year.
  2. Turnarounds take time, especially in a difficult district such as this. But the kids look good, the coaches are new, enthused, and care about kids, and I personally think that good things will always follow those trends. That s of course, those things can stay consistent. I am a lil' biased because a good friend of mine and he is involved on the defensive side of the ball. But I am glad to see him back with a pen and a whiteboard.
  3. I've been following Franklin Rebel football since 2008, and these allegations of recruiting CHS' players are bogus. Who have we recruited? Who is zoned for CHS and wears maroon on Friday nights? Just please give me some name.
  4. SarahPalin you might appreciate this, (being the God fearing Catholic you profess yourself to be) Ecclesiastes 3 1There is an appointed time for everything. And there is a time for every event under heaven-- 2A time to give birth and a time to die; A time to plant and a time to uproot what is planted. 3A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up. 4A time to weep and a time to laugh; A time to mourn and a time to dance. 5A time to throw stones and a time to gather stones; A time to embrace and a time to shun embracing. 6A time to search and a time to give up as lost; A time to keep and a time to throw away. 7A time to tear apart and a time to sew together; A time to be silent and a time to speak. 8A time to love and a time to hate; A time for war and a time for peace Basically there is a time for everything, there is a time for each and every team and player to have their moment. In our district/ region we have seen them come and we have seem them go. We have seen Ravenwood dominate and represent Williamson County. We have seen the Bruins run the state of Tennessee in years past. We have seen Independence go from a young school to a title contender. And now it is time to let the big boys play. All the pretenders and wildcards are gone and eliminated, it done to the nitty-gritty. Its is time, for Franklin to battle Brentwood for the right to advance to the semifinals. Accept this fact, and let FHS and BHS play-on. Accept the fact that Indy is finished for this season, and maybe with your infinite wisdom you can help in the re-building for next year. I understand and embrace these simple facts of life, and even though I hope Franklin will continue to play into December, if that hope does not come to pass. We will pack up the jerseys, and unpack the weights and move on. And I will be present and accounted for next summer helping the Rebels make it happen. I will be at the Brentwood game boys... I leave Lincoln Nebraska at 2:25, see ya'll tomorrow night. Oh, and P.S. Sarah, Rings and Pommel Horse are the exact two events I do, excellent guess. If you ever want to experience a new type of work-out come give me a shout, gymnastics is a different world compared to football.
  5. Can you ask for a better match-up to decide who will represent Williamson County to the rest of the State of Tennessee? Its football time in Tennessee folks!!! The Rebels look for revenge for a late season defeat, while the Bruins look to avenge the quarterfinal defeat last year. Line em' up, strap it tight, and snap the football!!!
  6. 27-0!!! Well INDY nation, how did that whole "unsuspected-underdog' vibe work out for ya'? 27-0!!! Our House?!?! Did nobody tell you that you have never won at Franklin? Let me clarify that, you have never made it a close game at Franklin. INDY nation, let me leave you with this solace... You did not beat a single district opponent this year (with a .500 record or better), You failed to beat a 6A district opponent all year long. And now you have failed to score against Franklin for the duration of 2009. INDY nation, take all of your meaningless trash-talk and crawl back in your hole until next year. And during your offseason, answer the question of what in God's green earth are you going to do without #7 on your team next year. The list of questions down at INDY gets longer each and every year (with no sign of answers). That miracle season back in 2007, seems to get farther away doesn't it? How about you figure out how to score a touchdown before you open your mouth against the Rebels from now on...
  7. If "Hogan" says its so than its so. But sometimes talking to good ole' Ed Temple (the original Debbie-Downer) gets me nervous.
  8. I think my boyz on the defensive side of the ball, Timmy "full-speed", Ben "laying-the-wood" Woodall, and W. & Hunter "head-hunter" Nall will take care of business... Overachieving, its what we do down at Franklin. RR64 & Hogan give me a reason to come home in two weeks to watch a football game.
  9. We finally have brackets, and its Overton vs Franklin in round 1. Most of us have seen this match-up before in round 1... Here we go.
  10. Please explain this, "We run trains all day" quote of yours. Because it should say that ya'll CANT STOP TRAINS! Whether it is Oakland, Brentwood, or Franklin those of you down there in INDY nation have not been able to stop anything on the ground.
  11. "Ya'll got mad lucky"?!?! 21-0... Is not getting "mad lucky". I wish I had the rushing yards for the game, but the way that Franklin man-handled the INDY D was nothing short of downright embarassing. Franklin was able to run the ball at will, and that is not "getting lucky" that is demonstrating absolute control. If anything the argument could be made that Franklin was quite unlucky, with a missed field goal, and a punt return TD called back. Bottom-line, I would leave in the 3rd quarter as well if I was on the other side of that raping & pillaging of INDY Nation. In fact I would leave at the half, because that is the best it ever gets for those good ole eagles. The 3rd and 4th quarters have held nothing but bad news for IHS thus far this year. But until next time INDY... 21-0...21-0...21-0!!! (that fact does not change... and it never will)
  12. Trust me when I say, that the Patriots of Oakland will dispense of the Christian County Colonels with ease. This game (along with the earlier game this year against this year) will prove that Tennessee football is simply on a whole different level when compared to what Kentucky has to offer. Tennessee football compared to Kentucky football is like comparing apples to uh.... Stevie Wonder riding on a dragon (it just doesn't work).
  13. I predicted it at the begining of last week, (and everybody thought I was crazy) that the typical INDY arrogant smack-talk would be present all week long on Coach-T, and we saw it in full swing. We saw people accuse people of Franklin of being "down" and make the challenge that Franklin was finally about to play a real game. I even specifically remember somebody saying that this game was "Franklin holding on for a wild-card slot". I predicted that we would see INDY packed with its flaunting rawkus fans, and we did. Basically in summary we saw INDY in all its classless... But I guess the best way to shut them up was to shut them out, and shove that football down their throat all night long. Thanks boys... I finally left INDY a winner Friday night.
  14. Ya'll Eagle fans make me laugh. A few years ago, ya'll came out of nowhere and played the role of giant killer against Franklin, and all of a sudden everybody thought INDY was around to stay. INDY fans talked a level a game that confirmed those threatening thoughts, walking into INDY was walking into a hostile environment that was packed to the maximum. And then last year's collapse happened, and support for INDY could be found. And now we stand on the edge of another role-reversal for the Eagles from INDY, and the arrogance is back, I am sure the stadium will be packed with fans "whiting-out", and we will witness INDY fans calling some absurd predictions all week long... What a bunch of front-runners
  15. This the way life should be, a late season match-up between these two school with serious play-off implications. Franklin looks to stay on track towards a possible district championship, while Independence battles to keep their play-off hopes alive. This match-up could arguably be Franklin's first "real" test since Ooltewah earlier this season, meanwhile Independence has been fighting tooth-and-talon to pull out victories each week. All this makes for what I am sure will be a hectic week of "coachT" activity.
