  1. Any thoughts on the district?
  2. What is everyone's thoughts and preseason predictions for District 3A girls?
  3. Wasn't at the game last night, but wondered if Oneida has improved any. Didn't sound competitive at all.
  4. You have got to be kidding. From reports I have heard, it was all political. But this topic isn't about Coach Yaden. It's about the team this year and from what I have seen, the coach has no idea what he is doing. IMO they got just what they asked for.
  5. It gets old complaining about no talent. Doesn't anyone else notice that they are not very well coached. I believe Coach is in over his head.
  6. The assistant the past year has been Phil Newport. I don't remember him as head coach and I don't remember him taking them to the State Tournament. I thought he has only been junior high coach in the past. Who knows, I may be wrong. I still would like to know who the candidates are to fill this position.
  7. What school was the assistant coach at as head coach that made it to state tournmanet? Don't recall that. Who will they now hire as coach since the coach resigned? This will be the 4th coach in 4 years.
  8. Hope Oliver Springs drills Grace. But, if it is close in the last two minutes look for Grace to get all the calls. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  9. Stupidest format that I have seen. Takes away from the tournament atmosphere, and cheats fans and players out of attending games. You pay price for one game that you would pay at other districts to see 2 or even 4 games. The tournament games seemed like ordinary district games. Understand that the 4 Morgan County principals/athletic directors voted for this format and the Oneida and Oliver Springs principals did not. If the Morgan County principals continue to stick together, the district will most likely continue this format. Fans ought to let these people know that they do not like it. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  10. Hey Outlaw 12. We all know you are a Scott High Fan. Why don't you stick to posting about your team. Don't think they're exactly on top of the world, are they? /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  11. Did I miss something? I thought Oneida won Tuesday night quite handily, and only lost by 3 points to Wartburg on the road last week. I wish they were undefeated also, but everyone seems to forget these coaches had no spring practice or summer camps with these players, and did not have the guys who played football, which makes up the majority of the team, until after basketball season began. It does appear to take some adjustment to go from playing football to basketball. From what I have observed in the last few games I thought they have played harder, played better defense and overall played a lot better than they did earlier in the season. Instead of complaining all the time about coaching, why don't some of you all start encouraging and supporting the team. It is all about the "TEAM". By the way InjunSquaw, I really wish you wouldn't use names of players because stuff like that can cause problems between players on the team and you definitely won't win when that starts happening....and you do want them to win, DON'T YOU?
  12. HMMM! So Scott High is getting the most out of their talent, Oneida isn't. If I remember correctly, Fairview won a lot of games against Scott County teams and teams from Morgan and Fentress counties during Yaden's time there, however, you take those same girls and combine them with the other county schools and you don't have very much success. Gosh, just don't understand that. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=" I'm not making excuses just stating facts. Wonder why you didn't respond to the post about competition that Oneida is facing compared to Scott High. Go figure. Hey, I hope all the teams in the county have success in the future.
  13. You wanna compare schedules. Here goes. Scott High (AA school) - 4 games against Single A opponents; 8 games against AA opponents; 1 game against AAA opponents. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Oneida (A school)- 8 games against Single A opponents; 4 games against AA opponents; 3 games against AAA opponents. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> I think that speaks volumes.
  14. Started Laxton, Jeffers, Chambers, Carson, and Slaven. West and Duncan also played significant amount of time. It doesn't appear he is overlooking anyone on bench since he has played so many people in past games. Maybe cream of the crop is rising to top. Sometimes it takes a while to find out who really wants to be part of a "team". Go Indians!!!
