ok i've had all i can take with the south pit trash talking. all you south pitt fans are you guys have done is trash the polk players saying slow can't win all that well these boys play with a lot of heart and pride and that helps win games. they don't make many if any mistakes and they love to hit. all i read on here is that they are going to out hit us and i just laugh bc you can ask any team taht has played polk the last 10 years and they will tell you that polk hits and hits hard the whole game. an a other thing if south pitt is so good why don't they play up in 2a or 3a? polk is a 2a school but coach davis wants to play in 3a so that says alot bout him wanting to play bigger schools. if south pitt is so great i just don't see them winning state in 2a or 3a. Polk has a good team and they play as a team it ain't about one player on the polk team. All i see on here is one player for south pitt and i love it because everytime we played a team this year and they just talk bout one player he gets shut down by the polks d. Just be prepared come friday night those big and slow polk boys wil give you all you can handle and more. If south pitt wins ain't won't be a blow out this is going to be a hard hitting physical game. Good luck to both teams on a injury free game. Hoping my boys for polk come home friday night 9-0. The wildcats have the team to do it but the o line is going to have to step it up because if they do what they did tonight against south pitt we could be in for a long night. I'm sure coach davis will have them ready and can't wait to be heading back up the interstate 9 and 0. GO Wildcats

Coach J I was ready to talk bout this back after Walker Valley. You hit it right on the nose Polk has to contain that kid or it will be a long night for the Cats. Like you said Polk has a weakness but I think Coach Davis will have it fixed before then. The defense will have to win this game and play hard the offense moves the ball well but they haven't had a tough team to test them all year. Polks oline might not be the biggest but they get the job done and i have seen them go up against some big d lines this year and get the job done. I reallly think Polk can win this game because they don't turn the ball over much if any noting the varsity has i think 2 all year the rest came from the reserves. They also don't get stupid penaties that is a area which Coach Davis harps on. These boys have a great chance if they go down there and play Wildcat football. Hoping for a great crowd which I think we will have and a great game. Go Polk

I agree with the teams they have played Bradley has been the toughest. Not trying yo look to far ahead but the south pitt game will be a good test for the Wildcats and get them prepared for the playoffs. Coach Davis has kept them young men level headed and they should be fine in the playoffs but everyone knows to get to state the road as to go though Alcoa and if polk can make it that far that would be a very tough game. As for this week the 2nd string will see alot of playing time I wish he starters could play more to be ready for South Pitt but the chiefs are having a tough year. The Wildcats should win this one easy. These boys got a level head and are staying focused. Coach Davis in my mind has the best team he has had in years if not since he started coaching at Polk. Not takin any thing away from previous teams i was on one of them for 4 years but these boys play together and work as a team. No big shots on the team they just go out and play hard for 4 quaters and they love hitting. I heard a walker valley fan and the central coaches say more tehn once that Polk is the hardest hitting team we have played or will see this season. For friday night Coach Davis will have his team ready to win and do it the Wildcat way. Go Polk!!!

If that game is played on thursday I will try and make it I would love to see central take the win the polk take the win on friday. Polk and Central have to prove to everyone that this part of TN can play with the best of them. Good luck to the Chargers once again on the rest of the season.

Polk takes this one if they come out and play polk football. They have done a great job keeping thier heads on straight and the coaches are doing a real great job on having them prepared. Looking forward to watching this group of young men play every week. Go Wildcats!!

I'm a Polk fan but i just wanted to reply to a post on this thread about central and alcoa game. I would love to see central take them down and smack them right in the mouth best of luck to central I Really hope you guys can pull the upset!!! Good luck on the rest of your season

Yeah used to be hard fought game but this year Polk team is has to much to for Notre Dame. Polks starters won't play long in this game Coach Davis might play them a lil longer because you could tell are d was a lil tired in the 4th in the Walker Valley game. Polks O will have a field day again they do whatever they want. Go Wildcats

Way to go Redskins thats the way to rep 3a joining you friends over at polk. i'm thinking bradley might have got the big head but loudon is a good team and they have had a tough couple of games the last couple of weeks. I'm glad to see 3a teams playing the upper class so tough.

polks O scored at will tonight the D did get tired in the 4th but can't blame them they only had like 4 plays off before they was back on the field.Walker Valley's d line didn't have a chance against are o line. Polks o line pushed them around all night then walker valleys linebackers and dbs couldn't stop numnber 30 "aka chaos. " Way to go polk thats the way to make a statement. Look for Coach Davis to get the d issue fixed and Larry Davis is doing a greaty job calling the plays and the O is playing great. Keep up the grewat work WILDCATS!!!! 5 AND 0!!!!!

Where are all the fans at? Polk fans are very supportive and i haven't seen much on the boards the last couple of weeks. Given that we have played teams that was no where near the talent polk is but still. I'm excited bout this team and can't wait till friday to see polk go 5 and 0 but they got to play this week walker valley has lost to some good teams and I know the players for polk don't want this game to be close because central beat them pretty bad so they should be looking to make a statement this week. I'm also looking forward to that south pitt game should be a great game. GO WILDCATS

That polk and chatt christian game the starters played 6 mins in the 1st then was done. the freshmen played the rest of the game. Polk is a solid team but the test they need will be in a couple of weeks at south pitt. These boys that have been playing together since they was 5 in little league ball and has had success through out little league. I know little league ain't high school ball but when you have played together that long you play better as a team. I've known all them since then and have seen them grow up and coached a few. Coach Davis and his staff do a great job of getting the best out of these young men and I do think they can go deeper in the playoffs this year. Looking forward to the south pitt game but we got to take care of the games before that and don't over look anyone.

First off i'm a polk fan and former member of the team now that out of the way. Bradley can win this game jsut got to keep the heads on straight and stay focused. Loudon is a good team and should be a good game. I'm glad to see bradley doing good and beating cleveland was great now they just got to keep building off that. They got some tough games coming up and they should be able to give them a fight and might be able to come out on top. Bradley was so far the only test polk has had all year and i look forward to this game next year both teams will have plenty of returning starters. Good Luck to the Bears on the rest of the season

I do think it will be a good test for polk since having to easy wins but I'm sure Coach Davis and his staff will have them ready to play come friday night. I was wondering that also Walker Valleys band is awesome can't wait to see them perform for us. But I do think polk will come out on top in this game it won't be a blow out but i'm sure polk will be after them like they always do. This group of young men is the best Coach Davis has had in my mind. They play together so well and that comes from playing little league together. Agree all the way. Polks O Line needing help have you been to the 4 games this year those players have had it under control all year. They handle bradleys much bigger line and then central was suppose to give them fits and yet again polks o lline showed up. This team is good all the way around the defense is just as good if not better then last years d and the offense is a whole lot better then last year and it has showed in the first 4 games so far. The starters stats could be off the charts but coach davis won't run up the score on a team. The last two weeks it couldv'e been real nasty if the starters played more then they did. I do think this team will do deep in the playoffs this year with the way they play as a team. They don't have egos getting in the way and Coach Davis and his coaching staff do a great job in coaching them and having them ready to play. Can't wait to show everyone friday that they are the real deal and I know don't need to get ahead but South Pitt looks like the only test after this friday for the Wildcats. GO WILDCATS

Polk should win this one easy. This game shouldn't even be close. This polk team has it together and they play together. I also heard sweetwater dosen't have many skilled players just wondering on the and that they didn't have a coach till very close to the start of the season.

Polk had this game from the start. The starters didn't even play the whole first quater and the 2nd string did just as good. the freshmen and jv got plenty of game time tonight. if polk had played teh varsity the whole game it wouldv'e been bad but coach davis has class and wouldn't do that and thats great. just don't let the score fool you they scored on are freshmen. And i hope the kid that got taken off with the neck injury gets better soon and that it ain't serious. My prayers are with the young man and his family after all this is just a game. Great job polk now lets get ready foir sweetwater.

to answer that yes polk does play with that heart and pride when things ain't going good. i've been around polk football all my life and have seen games when they was down or jsut getting blown out and they just keep fighting and playing hard. like the first game this season they was down 13 to 0 in the first then came back and scored 20 unanswered. i could tell you countless games where i have seen them come back or keep fighting when it ain't going good thats just how Coach Davis coaches his players getting them ready for life. i learned alot from him when i was there and it has helped me in life now and it will later on in my life. when things it going your way or bad you just got to keep fighting and thats how these boys and past players play that got that drilled into thier heads from him and the other coaches
