Region4fan, Oakland had a locker room there, they chose to go to the endzone at the half. It would have been just as easy for them to go to their locker room, but they didn't. I don't know why they didn't go, ask the coaches. Also, the LaVergne coaching staff never told the paper that Harvey wasn't going to play, they just assumed. It was a great game to watch. Congratulations to Oakland on a big win for a young team last night. Good luck to Oakland and LaVergne in your games down the road.

I'm just curious, who is the coach from the Murfreesboro/Lebanon area that would like the Tullahoma girls job. I coach in the area and am just curious as to who it is.

That is what has happened to everyone that has been locked up by Chris Darden this year. He is a great player and loves to play against players the caliber of Price. Don't think by one game the David Price isn't a good player, he is a great player. He just didn't have any room to get a shot off on Friday night because of Chris.

Smyrna and White House still have to flip a coin to see who goes where. Each one had one win against the other so theyare tied for 7 and 8.

It's at Hendersonville, and might be the best game in the state tonight.

They didn't play because Wilson Central had to make up a district game with Beech on Saturday. I'm actually looking for the score of that one if anyone has it. To my knowledge the game will not be made up this year.

If you had seen more of the games you would know that both of the posts are not ready to be the leading scorers of that team. They do a good job of making moves, but both also average over an assist per game because they are not selfish with the ball, they like to fan it out to the guards. And anyone with any knowledge of the game knows that Chris Darden and Nate Hancock are two of the best shooters in 9-AAA. Darden should win the MVP of that league this year. He is a 4 year starter and Hancock is a 3 year starter. Hudson and Greene just aren't ready to be the leading scorers yet, but both are getting better by the day and will see dramatic improvements in scoring, especially next year and the year after.(Hudson is a junior and Greene is only a sophomore)

I am looking for some information on Springfield's basketball team. Any information that anyone can supply would be greatly appreciated.

Just for the record sportschic LaVergne beat Franklin by 4 in a preseason scrimmage. Both teams have gotten better since then so it would probably be an interesting matchup now to see how far both teams have gotten. LaVergne looked really good Saturday against MBA's JV team. MBA even played a couple of seniors in that game I think. LaVergne won by 15. Too bad there isn't a state tourney for the freshmen to see who is the best. That way there would be only one undefeated team left at the end of the year, and it would be fun for the kids to play in, plus just give them a great experience. Maybe the TSSAA could look into it eventually.

You're right Gomab, Twilley hasn't been playing freshmen. I realized that after you said something then went back and checked for sure. He has been head to head against the other two, but I did miss on that one. Sorry.

Marrio Hunter from LaVergne has gone head to head with DeQuon Twilley from Shelbyville and Keith Ramsey from Oakland in games this season and went head to head with John Hopson from MLK this summer and beat each one of them head to head each time. LaVergne and MLK split over the summer, but Marrio had better games both times out. He hasn't seen any varsity action this year because LaVergne is pretty stacked this year. He just needs to have his name tossed into the mix because he is a great player and he deserves it.

The reason that Eric Lyons isn't playing is because he can't handle pressure. Just look at the first Hendersonville and the LaVergne game where he had 4 times as many turnovers as he did assists. This years Smyrna team is nowhere close to as good as they have been in the past. It doesn't matter how big your men are in the middle, if you can't get the ball up the floor because of lack of guard play you can't win. Also, there is a reason that Hendersonville has only lost 4 regular season district games over the last 3 years. You guys need to get a better understanding of the game before you go bashing a very good coach.

Has anyone heard the scores for Gallatin/Beech and Wilson Central/White House tonight. I was just curious.
