Looks like we'll be expecting to play some smashmouth football. The "run it down your throat" philosophy.

Give me an update on this year's squad. Been out of the loop for a while and want to see how WC stacks up this year and important players.

That's a huge amount of traveling for Wayne County and Collinwood both. Clarksville and Huntingdon are at least 2 1/2-3 hours bus rides from the school. Those bus rides can take a lot out of team. I remember the trips to Moore County and Jo Byrns/Cascade that seemed like we would never get there.

Of course I'll be picking Wayne County. Is this for real how they rearranged the new regions though? That seems like a lot of travelling if these teams play each other.

Ah. I thought I vaguely remembered a couple of years where they had some bad years. Maybe I was mistaken. 21 freshmen is a hugeeee class.

Aren't the upcoming guys the same players who had really bad records in middle school?

What do you guys think about the region this upcoming year? I'm personally biased.

Definitely will be a contender in their first few years. Summertown has always had athletes, mostly in baseball and basketball, but I can see that translating over to their football team.

Not too bad overall. See a lot of teams that had down years last year.

What's Wayne County's schedule for the year?

Playing different sports throughout the year can hurt in some ways. It may take a couple of years for them to adjust to playing football and to contend, but I say in 3-5 years Summertown will be a serious contender.

Summertown may shake things up if that's what it'll look like the next 2 years.

How do you see 1-A looking this year? Top teams? Contenders for the playoffs? Top players?

I hope to see Perry County back again this year.
