First off, I am an Alumni parent who still enjoys going to all the games. We have played lots of opponenets from all over the state. When my daughter started Catholic, we were still in Division II. I have to say that this is the first time that I have ever witnessed such blatant disregard for other individuals. I got there 30 minutes early and found that Catholic sitting section was full from the oposition. We were told that our cheerleaders were asked to move from their assigned roped off section. This is where our student section and our pep band sits. I am unclear if it was fans or WH cheerleaders who made the request. That should have been a clue early on that you are sitting in the wrong section. Granted Catholic did not do their job and rope off sections with caution tape. Not that it would have meant anything to this crowd. I witnessed several displays of blatant disreguard for the welfare of our players on the field. I heard one gentleman scream repeatedly, 'RIP HIS @#$$$$# HEAD OFF!!! That is real classy and christian like. He was referring to #22 Dorian Cozart. We have played Livingston Academy many times and always had very good times with fans and players. Afew bad apples in the crowd does not sterotype us into a bad group of people. Drinking goes on everywhere, not that it is right, but I have to say that we have a very good fan base and our players and coaches are a class act, always. I am sorry that your team did not win, but I think that Catholic wanted it more, and proved that the second half. Needless to say the same gentleman who was screaming the first half, did not have much to say the second half. I feel that it was a very good ballgame and both sides should be proud of their team. Sad to hear that you cannot support us at State. Sour Grapes.
