Congratulations South on a much needed win vs Boone!! Last year's Gate City game drew lots of hype but South took control of the game and never looked back. Let's get it started. What do you think this year?

You can't have a war when dealing with a coward Batman. It's a shame that Boone is enjoying their most successful season in school history and some idiot like that has to ruin it. To all the respectable and classy Boone fans, good luck and we hope to enjoy another great game with you guys. To the idiot, your name is now changed to 534everacoward. I know players, parents, and coaches from Boone and I don't think for one second that this person represents them. I have cheered for them all season when they were not playing us. This will be a great game. Boone is playing great and the Rebels were not their normal selves when they played Boone. Looking forward to a battle in the Valley.

534ever were you on the Boone/Tn High thread calling Tn High classless? Then you get on here and make a post like that? Are you a player, a parent, or just a fan? The coaches, parents and players I know at Boone have much more class than that. Just so you know, I'm laughing at you. You aren't in any position to be complaining about the officials. The SportsAnimal crew, neutral observers, mentioned exactly one bad call - the missed late hit on Mackle's punt return. Your team played very well tonight and I currently have no reason to show South anything but respect. Don't ruin it by being a jackass. Both teams played with class and played an excellent ballgame. There were horrible calls for both teams and missed calls for both teams. I do not believe he was trying to be a jackxxx. Just making an observation. I think the teams deserve to have competent officials and not have officiatng (or lack thereof) determine the outcome. We spoke to a number of Knox Catholic fans and players after the game. First of all Dhardwork B00, this is a South thread and your post has no merit. Go away. Second, if you knew anything about the camp, you would know that over 40 college recruiters/coaches attended the camp, one of several put on by this company and HOSTED by Mars Hill. And, by the way, they did a nice job. Third, yes, DB is the school and the football program of Kingsport. I've lived here all my life and know that particular fact. What exactly is your point? Fourth, Thanks for the tip on publishing. We'll consider it. Fifth, congratulations on your sixth post. Maybe some day you'll be as good as Waco after 5,000 posts. At least he makes me laugh occasionally.

Good stuff. During that time then, DB is 3-5 during the playoffs (37.5%), 46-4 during the regular season (92%) and South is 9-5 during the playoffs (64.29%), 43-7 during the regular season (86%). Obviously talented teams that just couldn't take it all the way. Hopefully that will change! I would think THS stats are similar during that time period.?

This game is not even close to being the "biggest game in South history." Not even considering it the biggest game of this year. Would love to win it obviously, but there is a bigger goal than that.
