Great Success?? Some Success Yes, but our middle school has lost to T.A.Dugger for the past 3 yrs. This does not look good for us against our biggest rival. You can bleed the colors but got to have the results. Look at Fulmer.

Well we are certainly glad you took him off our hands. Now we just need to a get a good one to coach. Any news on who the replacement will be? I know it was Smitty, and Simmons who got a good look last time. I have heard King mentioned as well from some of the girls at softball.

I can not believe that he is back with girls. I thought we have done some crazy things in Erwin but that takes the cake. Well Chambers at HV would be a good fit.

Betsy has already stirred the pot once this year. They need to leave Dugger with the boys and a hire a girls coach. Campbell at Boone would be good choice or try to get one of the assistants from Science Hill or Tenn. High. They have successful programs year after year.

Ill say this about the middle school coach. He has had one good season with a lot of talent. You need someone who has been at the high school level for a few years. If Betsy was smart they would go after head coaches or asst. from around here. Boone's coach would be a good choice as would Chambers. Maybe they go the way we did and get someone from out of the area.

Is there any talk of who the coach will be next season? I heard the Wilson was only doing till the end of the season and I have also heard that he is going to do it from now on? Wonder which one is true? Any possible replacements?

We 3 main pieces..King, Edwards, and Bennett. Edwards was a junior as was Gardner. I did think the Freshman played well.

What a sad way to end the season! Our girls had not fight. It seemed like some of them didnt want it bad enough. I dont know if they were jealous of each other or what but that was disgraceful! Coach should have done a better job preparing those girls. We may never see a sub state game in my lifetime now.

I have heard that some assistant coaches at some of the bigger schools are interested. Any truth?

South Greene just beat the #9 ranked AAA team over Christmas...so they are playing better.

Here I thought things were crazy in Blue Devil Land. Who is the "key player" that quit? It sounds like people in Eliz. are as bad as the ones over here with complaining. Why not just let the people do their job and parents do their job? Parents = Cheer Players = Perform Coaches= X's and O's.

I think our girls will take it from betsy this year and next. We have lots of young girls and I know we had some good MS games. HV looks good as well. I think they get a top tier win this year.

Pesonally I think that is Science Hill and then everyone else. I watch THS and MW and then SH and MW. There is no comparasion who the better team is. TH will still get their W's but not against SH. SH played all their kids in a game that was not close on Saturday. TH had to really scrap to get their W. DB got a good win against Central. so they may be in the mix with TH just not sure. IMO

Great Games last night. How does Region 1 stack up against Region 2?

I do not have a dog in the race but i can give my opinion. I think District 1 will have Science Hill, Tenn. High, Dobyns-Bennett, and Volunteer. I think Volunteer won at Central. In District Two- The top two seeds will move on and the 3-6 matup is a toss up and the same with the 4-5. IMO

I do not think we will make the substate. We can't even beat the 3rd or 2nd best team in District 2. We are going to finish 2 or 3 in the tourney which means we get Chuckey Doak South Green or Greenville in the first round. Not time mention one of the three in the semi. I love our team but Ivory gone hurts. McCury gone hurts depth. As for your issue squirrel i would upset to. She is definately one of the best 5 on the team.

What is going on with our girls? Where is Ivory at? Is she hurt? I have heard some rumors but surely they are not true. If they are, then Epps better start looking for a new job. He has ran off two good players that would have really helped this year and the years to come.

Ok. so you are saying the the LM is better EE? Come on. Anyone who has a small basketball IQ knows that the edwards kid is the real deal. LM is a good kid that can;t come to grips with her role. She is not going to play at ETown either. She may get less Varsity time than at Unicoi. We only could go 8 now 7 deep. ETOWN is 9 deep with ease.

The transfer has always had jealously issues. I have watched that group play since they were little. She is a solid role player that has a good shot when left open. She will not beat you alone. The problem is her parents think she is better than what she is. It think it will be just as hard for her to get on the floor in Betsy as it was here, but maybe she thinking about next year since you all lose some good seniors.

I wonder what they were thinking. This guy might a good coach but his track record says he is here for only 3 to 4 yrs tops. Flash in the Pan. That is not fair to our program. Yes we will win now but we could have done that with any of the finalists, but what about our future. Those girls in 4th 5th grade.

OK..Chambers has baggage,hence,the need for a new coach in the first place.He caused a lot problems up in the Creek from what people said(TSSAA violations). As for all the candidates, it will be very interesting since Evely's dad is a school board member...that must be a leg up already. I just hope they post it soon so all this speculation on everyones part, me included, will stop. They need to make that choice soon though. When can you start spring practice?

I do not think Mike would be a good fit for our girls. What has he done? I do wonder who will step in? Will they look in-house or look beyond the county? Chambers brings the baggage so would you want that cloud over you?

Anyone want to make predictions about the games on Friday? I think it will be an all Area 1 Final on Saturday with the upset coming! Sevierville seems like a good team but not like last years team. Our outside shooting will once again prove to be too much.

We have played Science Hill 5 times and lost all 5 times but the games have been pretty close. We took them to overtime at our place and were 5 minutes from beating them in the Championship game of our conference. I hope you can come Friday because we will be ready to play!

I would not count out the Lady Devils. This is a team with experience, not mention the MVP from last years tournament! We are still the defending champs until someone beats us. We will not have a problem with Sevierville on Friday and look forward to playing Saturday!
