  1. Here's how I see it: 1.Franklin-has the best player in the District-Little 2.Indy-has the best pitcher in the District-Miller 3.Ravenwood-has the smartest player in the District-N Kuko 4.Brentwood-has the best catcher in the District-Shelton 5.Centenial-has the best hitter in the District-Kemp 6.Hillsboro-has the best uniforms in the District
  2. Losing those games has nothing to do with who starts the game. If you knew anything about basketball, it DOESN'T matter who starts the game. Big whoop, you get your name announced by the PA guy. It is who's on the floor at the end of the game. The 8 man rotation is basically playing the same number of minutes. FHS is losing games because they're playing with very little intensity and not running their offense, not who's starting. If you knew anything about basketball then you would not make these statements. Of course it matters who starts the game, you want to get off to a good start. Name a coach at any level who doesn't start they're best players. Furthermore, you play your best line-up the majority of the game, that's not happening either. And minutes have changed alot for several players, didn't have a 8 man rotation until about the 7th or 8th game. The football players were still in football , they didn't start getting considerable minutes until the 7th or 8th game. You can make all the excuses you want to for the coaching staff but me and you both know whats going on and its wrong.
  3. Yipee, I'm out of school again today! and thanks for your concern about my sleeping habits but I'm more concerned about the team. People at school keep asking the same question; why did they change things up? The team was 9-0 and came out of nowhere to #5 in the midstate before the change in philosophy. Can anybody answer this question? Shout out for a 4 day weekend!
  4. Franklin Rebels struggle again against Hillsboro Best line-up: 9-0 Other line-up: 2-4 Somebody needs to call the "That's Messed Up" guy from channel 2 news and see if he can figure out whats going on
  5. I can't figure it out myself "metroballin" Franklin went 9-0 using their best line-up the majority of the game. They had road wins at Clarksville, at Seigal, and at Lavergne and home wins against Overton and District rival Centenial. The team was playing really good. Then, the line-up changed and a different group of players started playing the majority of the game and they have went 2-3 since. Going to be interesting to see which group he goes with against Hillsboro
  6. Yep, there are two big games this weekend. You boys need to focus on one game at a time and go out there and do what you enjoy doing. Don't get a big head. Who are these kids, you ask. They are boys who have waited and waited for their time out on the court. Even though Coach Johnson is a good coach, I don't think he or his coaching has much to do with the record this year. His coaching hasn't hurt them yet, but from what I've heard it's getting ready to. Look for the Rebels to struggle over the holidays. I told you , Lets see if coach goes back to his winning formula

  8. Rebels win again, this time at BGA, 60-39 to run their record to 7-0. Little and Kiebler led the scoring with 12 apiece, Matthews and Mcclemore had 10. Rebels first District game is this Fri. against Centennial. Centennial is 8-1 on the year; should be a good match-up
  9. Franklin goes to 5-0 after an impressive win over talented Overton at home. Have 2 good wins on the road at Clarksville and at Lavergne. Mclemore has been dominate. He's impossible to guard, he either scores, gets fouled or both. But the key to this years team is Mathews, the big man underneath. he's a great rebounder and gives them a solid offensive threat when he has the ball. He is a transfer from Ky who runs the floor like a guard and is explosive on both ends of the court. Little, Keibler, Wozinski have their roles-all can hit the three, play good defense, and run the floor. The scary thing is that Nelson and Pace have just started playing after football and will only make the Rebels stronger when they get into basketball form. These players are hungary, they have had to sit for 2 to 3 years until last years senior class graduated. I knew they were going to be pretty good but at this point they are even better than i expected. They're biggest test of the year will come this Fri. when they play Seigal at Seigal.
  10. Franklin wins at Clarksville 74-60 in their opening game of the season. Mcclemore led the way with 31 points, he was unstoppable. Big man (transfer) underneath had a solid game scoring 16 points and grabbing 6 rebounds. Little contributed with 8 points, 8 rebs, and 7 assist.
  11. No offense to this young man, you are correct that he is very good. But...if he is the best all around in the district, how did he lose out to District MVP Mookie Betts (Overton) who was also a sophomore? That's easy, Overton won the District. If Centenial had won the district Kemp would have got it, if Independence had won it Lee would have got it, if Franklin had won it then Little would have got it. A player that is not on a District winner has no shot unless his numbers are extrodinary. Second, I made this statement knowing Overton is not in the District this year, I wasn't talking about last year. Don't try to make a point by asking a dumb question. Little and Betts are the best of friends, they both play at a very high level, you can't go wrong with either one
  12. Independence: Bryan Miller-best pitcher in the District, more movement on breaking stuff that I've ever seen, straight up nasty Ravenwood: Andrew Cash-great hitter, tough out Franklin: Jake Little-Best all around player in the District, has it all, pure stud Page: Daniel Johnson(sleeper)-crafty little left handed P/1b with a pretty good stick
  13. Little is fine, he had cyst behind his rotators cuff which was causing pain when he threw a baseball. It doesn't affect him at all when shooting. Little and McLemore will lead a new group of rebels on the hardwood this year. Will probably struggle early until Pace and Nelson get out of football and get into basketball rythem. Won't have as much depth as in the past but the first seven can play. If coach Johnson can pull this group together they're going to be tough to beat. But like Big Poppa said it's going to be a very competitive district. Anyone of the six could get hot and make a run. Here is how I see it stacking up: 1.Franklin 2.Independence 3.Hillsboro 4.Brentwood 5.Centenial 6.Ravenwood YOU REALLY BELIEVE THAT FRANKLIN AND INDEPENDENCE WILL BE BETTER THAN HILLSBORO? HILLSBORO IS SUPER LONG THIS YEAR. NOBODY IN THAT DISTRICT WILL BE ABLE TO DEFEND ART MCMILLAN. WHEN YOU ADD IN ISIAH HARRISON 6'7" AND BIG KENNY 6'5" (MCMILLAN 6'5") THEY ARE LONG AND QUICK. WITH BRE, VINCENT, JAMAL AND PIPES AT THE GUARDS THEY ARE REALLY DEEP AS WELL. I DON'T SEE THEM AT THIRD IN THE DISTRICT. I DO BELIEVE THEY CAN BE OUT COACHED (WHICH IS THEIR ONLY PROBLEM), BUT THEY WILL DOMINATE THIS DISTRICT IN THE END BEHIND BIG ART. I CAN'T SEE THEM LOSING MORE THAN A GAME OR TWO IN THIS DISTRICT. Franklin beat David Lipscomb at Lipscomb, Indy beat Hunters Lane at Hunters Lane in scrimmages this weak. Long, tall, quick Hillsboro got beat by Overton by 20. I don't think they will dominate the district this year at all, I think I will stick with my predictions.

  15. If it wasn't for Richie Goodnow ya'll would've been another Hillwood. I believe along with the Joseph brothers Franklin had players like Derrick Turnbow(pros), Steve Liddell(vandy), Casey Dykes(western ky), Drew Mason(ut martin), Martin Drude(david lipscomp), just to name a few off the top of my head. Overton dominated Franklin 1 year and Franklin still went to the state that year making further than Overton did. Franklin has made it to the sub state the last 4 years and to the state 3 out of the last 4. Having a teams number for 1 year does not equate owning that team. When I talk about no class I'm not talking about childish behavior like blowing a horn, I'm talking about a drunk Overton fan about 40 years old, drunk as a skunk, standing behind Franklin's students cursing and antagonizing them. And this was just 2 weeks ago, I didn't have to go back almost 6 years.
