  1. Region or District doesn't matter, the better team won. If CPA was in a weak district/region they still would be a good team, and the outcome would've been the same. Hats off to CPA, you guys played a good game. SH could've played better, but sometimes the way you play is due to your opponent. I'm rolling with CPA to keep the gold ball in Mid-Ten, Go Lions!!!!!
  2. Lol...I would never take these post personal. I guess we'll find out how Spring Hill fairs against teams in the Boro. My thing is, you don't know how Liberty would do against Spring Hill,CPA,etc. However you constantly talk about how Liberty is gonna take it all. I respect your opinions, but that's why you play the games. Good luck and may the best team win!
  3. Marshall County isn't in it obviously, however I have very strong ties to Spring Hill. Actually I played at Marshall County but live in Columbia, and have a stepson that plays for Spring Hill. How about that, Go Raiders!!!!!!!!
  4. I'm taking Spring Hill to bring the championship home. I think they have all the right pieces to win it all. No disrespect to the other teams. But this Spring Hill squad is made up of the same players that battled Kendren Johnson(Marshall Co. now Vanderbilt). If you could play with Marshall County with a group of sophomores, that's saying a lot. Those sophomores are now seniors. The fab 4, Dathan, Kiont, Keilan, and Montrae will represent. The x-factor will be Sparkman. Let the games begin!!!!
  5. I'm representing Mid-Ten, and I'm taking Spring Hill or CPA. Book it!!!!!
  6. First exhibition game of the year and Liberty is gonna be playing for a gold ball, we'll see. Kedren has to do too much? Sounds like Kendall had to do just as much. Anyway, good game, gotta get ready for Bolivar tomorrow. Guess MC will lose by 10+ tomorrow to huh Nebuntyn? Such a MC hater, LOL!!!!!!!
  7. Having players out for football can be a major set back if the players are starters. In Marshall Co.'s case, they have at least 2, but that's irrelevant now since they got beat. So btownbasketball based on your comment, which was play with what you have. I'll take that as if you have 2 or more starters that are out it shouldn't affect your teams play. Anyway, good luck to all, and Go get 'em MC Tigers.
  8. I don't know what Bolivar or Liberty will have this year, but I do know that Marshall Co. will be one of the best teams in AA. Kedren will have a great year as usual, but won't have to carry this team. They have other players that can play ball. Of course Kedren is the best player on the team, and would be at a lot of schools. But just because your the best player on a team, doesn't mean you have to carry your team. Kedren will see a lot of double teams, but will dish it off to other ball players. I will say this, if Bolivar or Liberty want to beat MC, this classic would be a good shot. The reason why I say this(no disrespect to Bolivar or Liberty),is because we have 2 starters and a few more that are still in football, and even if they lose in the playoffs this Friday, will only have a few days of bball under their belt. The chemistry, not to mention basketball legs, won't be there. Good luck to all teams and Go Marshall Co.!!!!
  9. Just wanted to know who made all tournament AA in the Boro?
  10. Congrats Bolivar you guys played tough and seemed more hungry than Liberty. I expected to see Nebuntyn on here talking about "book it". Guess he's in hiding now. It's been a long exciting road to the Boro this year, and I'm proud of my boys(Marshall Co.) on a great season. I have no argument in this race, but if Bolivar beat Liberty 4 out of 5 times, there can't be any excuses about who was the better team. Great job to both teams though, hopefully we'll(Marshall Co.) see you guys back next year. Everyone be safe and god bless!!!!
  11. I don't think he's a slam dunk to win it, just think he's the better player. What do you need to go by, points, assists, rebounds, etc? I've never understood the whole voting process or who even gets to vote. I don't think Kedren is averaging more points than the other two, but I'll bet he has more scholarship offers, and to me that says a lot about a player. I'm willing to bet that major D1 schools have more of an eye for talent than most fans that post on here. You don't get major D1 offers as a sophomore or junior without being special. With that said, Kedren Johnson(Marshall County) gets my vote, but my vote doesn't count. Good luck to all!!!!!!
  12. Toinemac, Bolivar will be playing for a gold ball, but far from a great team. Great teams don't always find a way to win, an average team can find a way to win. Bolivar made a great comeback, and the fans should feel good. Like I said before, you guys get on here and build these teams up to be more than what they are. All I hear about is how weak everything outside the west is. It's not hating, it's about respect. I'm not going back and forth defending Marshall, this game is between Bolivar/Liberty. Just know that if you think the only basketball is being played in the west, you need to travel more. Good luck to all, and Marshall will see you at the Boro next year!
  13. If Kedren doesn't get Mr. Basketball something is wrong. You can't always go by stats because the three finalist don't play the same same schedule. With that said, Jalen Steele didn't show me anything against Bolivar and that will probably do him in. I don't know much about the Lester Wilson kid, but I do know that Maplewood thumped them. If your truly going to pick a Mr. Basketball winner he should be the leader of your team and Kedren takes that by a long shot. If anybody was at the Marshall Co./Bolivar game when Kedren fouled out, and heard the Bolivar fans cheering. You would truly know what kind of impact this kid has on a game. He doesn't have to score 40 points to make a difference, he just does it all. He's been consistant all year regardless the venue. He plays the same night in and night out. I just haven't seen him rattled at all. He always want the ball in his hands regardless of the situation. So talented, so poised, and just a junior. Congrats to Jalen and Lester, but Kedren should be your AA Mr. Basketball winner.
